Elize Visser het al in Standerd 2 vir haar juffrou gesê sy wil eendag sielkunde swot. Toe daar na skool nie geld is om te gaan studeer nie, het sy soos haar pa, broer, oom en neef by die Suid-Afrikaanse Polisie aangesluit waar sy vir 30 jaar lank, die een na die ander eksamen geskryf het terwyl sy die leertjie geklim het tot by Kolonel, toekennings ontvang het en ook die SAPD oorsee verteenwoordig het. Maar haar passie was om mense se omstandighede beter te maak en sy wou hulle help om hulleself te ontdek soos God hulle gemaak het! Sy wou ‘n blywende verskil maak. ‘n Draaipunt het vir haar gekom toe sy in 2012 met ‘n 2 jaar Bybelse beradingskursus begin. Sy het die eerste aand besef: “Ek is tuis! Ek voel ek leef! Wanneer ek mense met hulle seer help, kan ek prakties die liefde van Jesus uitleef! Kan ek hulle help om hulle lewens te herbou soos ek ook moes uit die as en seer van die verlede…” Sy het haar 1ste jaar met lof geslaag as die beste student en tydens die tweede jaar, uit die polisie bedank om op 50 voltyds sielkunde te studeer. Sy het haar 4 jaar graad in 3 jaar voltooi en met lof geslaag in Januarie 2018. Sy sê haar man Francois, wie sy eers later in haar lewe ontmoet het (hulle is in 2011 getroud) en haar twee dogters, Marlize en Mari se ondersteuning was en is kardinaal tot haar sukses om vandag haar eie praktyk te hê “Mercy Corner Counselling Centre” (met Jes. 61 as hoeksteen). Maandae help sy Laerskool Gen. Nicholaas Smit se kinders en Dinsdae en Woensdae dien sy by Eleos “Mercy in Action” (Genade in Aksie) waar ons haar gaan verras het. “My ma gee haar lewe vir almal” sê die briefie wat ons van haar dogter, Marlize af kry, “maar sy kry ook swaar na my pa, Francois vroeër vanjaar in ‘n motorfietsongeluk was. Terwyl hy bewusteloos was, moes my ma die besluit neem om sy linkerbeen te amputeer en weens die breinbesering moet hy alles van vooraf leer.”
