In this episode, the network-topologist-turned-gravity-theorist explains her "Gravity from Entropy" action, which treats matter and geometry symmetrically through a geometric quantum relative entropy (not the horizon entropy of Verlinde or Jacobson). She details why it reduces to Einstein's equations at low energy while predicting a dynamical, always-positive dark energy term (the "G field"), how it may avoid black hole singularities and reproduce the area law without invoking holography, and why she believes understanding the brain may be harder than understanding quantum gravity. Ek het in 'n Johannesburgse hospitaal gelê — ek was op sterwe. Ek het vier maande lank in die intensiewe-sorgeenheid deurgebring. Toe ons mediese fonds opgeraak het, moes ons 'n baie moeilike besluit neem. In geloof het ons besluit om die hospitaal op eie risiko te verlaat. Die neuroloog se laaste woorde was: "Sy sal net 24 uur leef." Maar God is goed - en groter as enige mediese vonnis. Jesus het my aangeraak nadat daar vir my gebid is. Daardie 24 uur is nou 46 jaar later. Ek loop. Ek doen alles self. En dit is die werk van ons Vader — die Een wat nog nooit verander het nie, en nooit sal verander nie. For much of history, many mathematicians—following thinkers like Aristotle—viewed infinity as a never-ending process rather than a completed object. In the late 19th century, Georg Cantor revolutionized this view by treating infinite sets as mathematical objects that could be compared and studied. His work showed that not all infinities are equal, and that there are infinitely many different sizes of infinity. While his ideas are foundational in modern mathematics, some philosophical schools, such as finitism and ultrafinitism, continue to question whether infinite objects meaningfully exist.
