While working as a dental hygienist, Emily Rodger decided to pursue her passion for triathlon and cycling. In her full first year of bike racing (let me repeat: FIRST YEAR), she competed in 21 races, which included 17 podiums, 14 first place finishes, a national Masters title, and a world Masters title in time trial. Emily was on cloud 9, until she was violently struck by a car while on her bike. This accident did not hold her back, but it was the first of several incidents which led to years of physical, mental and emotional hardship. Emily is an incredible inspiration and we're grateful for her presence on the show.
