88 Children Removed From Iowa Bible Camp Inside the Human Trafficking Investigation In June 2025, law enforcement descended on a small Iowa town to execute one of the largest child removal operations in the state's history. 88 children were evacuated from the Shekinah Glory Camp in Columbus Junction, launching a human trafficking investigation that would expose troubling questions about religious authority, refugee vulnerability, and alleged exploitation. The Kingdom Ministry of Rehabilitation and Recreation, run by Burmese pastors in a town where 25% of residents are Myanmar refugees, operated what they claimed was a Bible camp for addiction recovery. But when a 15-year-old from Texas made a desperate call to authorities, it triggered a multi-agency raid involving the Louisa County Sheriff's Office, Iowa DHS, and state criminal investigators. In this video, we examine: The timeline of events leading to the raid Why authorities launched a trafficking investigation The vulnerable Burmese refugee community targeted How 60+ people lived in 5 mobile homes The ministry's claims vs. what investigators found Legal precedents from similar religious compound cases Why no arrests have been made (yet) This case sits at the intersection of immigration, religious freedom, and child protection - raising critical questions about oversight of faith-based organizations serving vulnerable populations. This is an active investigation. All individuals are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. 1. Immigration and Criminal Prosecution: The Ben and Senator Cruz discuss the indictment of Kilmar Armando Abrego Garcia, an undocumented immigrant accused of human trafficking and being a member of MS-13, a transnational criminal gang. They criticize Democratic politicians and media for previously portraying him as a harmless "Maryland dad" and for allegedly defending or sympathizing with him. The indictment claims Garcia trafficked thousands of undocumented immigrants, including gang members, over a nine-year period. 2. Media and Political Critique: The hosts strongly criticize mainstream media outlets (e.g., CNN, NPR, New York Times) for allegedly downplaying or misrepresenting violent protests and immigration issues. They accuse the media of spreading propaganda and being biased against conservative viewpoints and the Trump administration. 3. Civil Unrest and Law Enforcement: The conversation includes commentary on riots and protests, particularly in Los Angeles, and the deployment of the National Guard. The hosts mock media portrayals of the protests as “peaceful” and argue that Democratic leaders are undermining law enforcement. 4. Israel-Iran Conflict: The latter part of the transcript shifts to a breaking news segment about Israel launching a military strike on Iran, targeting nuclear facilities and IRGC leadership. The hosts express strong support for Israel and discuss the potential for Iranian retaliation, including threats to U.S. forces. They emphasize the strategic importance of the strike and the risks of Iran acquiring nuclear weapons. 5. Personal Touch: A brief, heartfelt moment is included where a 10-year-old fan writes a letter to Senator Ted Cruz, expressing admiration and political aspirations, which the hosts read aloud. Public policy analyst Julia Drydyk discusses her article "Human trafficking isn't what you think: Why education is key to stopping it." Julia clarifies the crucial distinction between human smuggling and human trafficking, explaining that trafficking involves exploitation through coercion regardless of geographic movement, often occurring within communities rather than solely at borders. She addresses how popular media perpetuates misconceptions, leading people to overlook the subtle, psychological tactics traffickers employ, often involving individuals known and trusted by the victim. Julia emphasizes that traffickers target vulnerabilities like poverty, homelessness, and mental health disorders, posing as caring figures to establish control. She highlights the urgent need for public education to recognize the real signs of trafficking, such as behavioral changes, unexplained absences, or signs of control by another person, enabling Canadians to bridge the gap between good intentions and effective action. Do you ever feel like the universe is trying to tell you something? For a lot of us, we couldn't see it until we got a little bit of time in sobriety under our belts. But once you start seeing the signs, it becomes difficult to ignore the divine suggestion. For us, ignoring those signs has often had “poor results.” This week's warstory comes to us from Angie. Angie spent a lot of time trying to convince herself her drinking wasn't the problem. Her journey in sobriety led her to trust in a power she struggled to understand. Her what happened when she finally let go, surrendered her will, and opened her eyes to signs all around her. Thanks Angie, for sharing your story! Check out our sponsors. Send us a textThat disturbing moment when Sharon looked up from the strip club stage to see her own father sitting there—the same man who had sexually abused her for 12 years—became the catalyst for her escape from exploitation. But where do you run when your past keeps catching up with you?Sharon's raw, powerful testimony reveals how childhood trauma created vulnerabilities that traffickers expertly exploited. "Anyone who's been sexually abused has this neon sign over them," she explains, describing how a seemingly friendly regular customer at her restaurant job gradually groomed and recruited her into dancing and eventual exploitation. What makes this story extraordinary is the divine intervention that changed everything. Alone in her home while high on drugs, Sharon experienced something unexplainable—an audible voice asking three times, "What do you think you're doing?" That encounter led her to church the very next day, where she found immediate deliverance from substance dependency, though complete healing would take years of intentional work.Host Ron Myers connects Sharon's journey to his own transformation from promoting bikini contests and wet t-shirt competitions to discovering his true calling. "Until you experience Jesus, until he actually touches your heart, touches your dreams, touches your inspiration—it's just a story," Myers reflects. "But when he begins to write the story in your life, you begin that love relationship with him, and the grace just floods in."For anyone struggling with exploitation, addiction, or searching for purpose, this episode offers practical wisdom alongside genuine hope. As Sharon puts it, "You keep running until you run into the brick wall that's going to save you—and that can be a person God put in your path."Ready to discover your own purpose and destiny? Today, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are celebrating their daughter Lilibet's birthday. Meghan shared a video of herself dancing and effortlessly bending over just before giving birth. This raises questions: Were any of Meghan's pregnancies genuine, or did she use padding under her dress to appear pregnant? Next, Greta Thunberg's latest activist stunt involves living on a boat in the Mediterranean Sea, supposedly heading toward Gaza. This sounds more like a luxury vacation than a protest, one most of us could only dream of. Meanwhile, ICE has made another significant move, with a major bust leading to the arrest of violent criminals and human traffickers, sparking protests in Minneapolis. Why are some citizens defending human traffickers? Finally, we've got plenty to react to—check out all this and more on today's Untamed!
For several years, the Kédougou region in the far east of Senegal has been experiencing a gold rush. This race for the precious metal has led to a proliferation of artisanal mining sites, drawing thousands of gold miners from across West Africa. But alongside the economic boom, the region has seen a surge in human trafficking. In particular, hundreds of Nigerian women are forced into prostitution at the mining sites. This exploitation is driven by extensive transnational networks whose reach spans nearly every gold mining site in West Africa and beyond. Our Senegal correspondents report.

Joined by: Mea https://www.instagram.com/spacebunnynews1 andRuth https://www.instagram.com/detentionresistanceICE is currently engaging in and facilitating human trafficking for the profit of billionaires, and that's not a hyperbole. After the Epstein scandal was exposed to the dismay of the ruling class, how do you convince millions of Americans to support a new system of human trafficking on a massive scale with no legal barriers to stop it? Convince them it's for their safety. While the American public has been fed the narrative that the mass incarceration and detention of undocumented immigrants has been to reduce “migrant related crime”, the majority of immigrants being rounded up have committed no violent or drug-related offenses, all while nobody on the flight logs to Little Saint James have been arrested and the best we've gotten is a heavily redacted list given to hijacked social media influencers and a clear message from the Depart of Justice: “nothing to see here, folks”. Besides the fact that some of the first targets of ICE were protestors to Israel's crimes, ICE is now providing Wall Street with a new cash cow via massive billion dollar contracts to the private prison and security industry that will inevitably be used on American citizens but currently being beta tested on hardworking migrant families as a soft opening for a totalitarian police state that will be weaponized against anybody American in the working class. But it's not going to be that easy thanks to the hard work of activists, patriots, constitutionalists and human rights activists. To learn more about the critical actions being taken to slow the roll of fascism in San Diego, we are joined by Mea and Ruth. Mea has been a critical voice in the Palestinian Liberation movement and Ruth is a Detention Resistance collective member which she's been involved with since 2019. Detention Resistance is an abolitionist, non-institutional, autonomous collective organizing in accompaniment with migrants, refugees, and those who have been criminalized by the state. With Mea documenting, Ruth has been working on the ground in San Diego in assisting vulnerable migrants against the unconstitutional violations from ICE's ambushes on migrants seeking to navigate the bureaucracy of the court system to pursue legal status and providing support for migrants detained in what any historical expert would deem to be concentration camps. It is amazing how little we know about human trafficking and the little we do know is often questionable at best. When we hear about it, we think of things like stranger danger or the creepy white van. But the reality of human trafficking is well beyond these things. One thing is for sure, it needs to be exposed to the light so that it will end. Stacy Besch from Team Iowa has investigated and uncovered many of the shocking realities of human trafficking in Iowa. If it's happening in Iowa, it's happening everywhere. Yet, as Stacy presents the reality of these things, may your knowledge of it give to you hope that you can make a difference. On this week's episode of The 1 Girl Revolution Podcast, we welcome Kristi Wells and Brittany Dunn — national anti-trafficking advocates and the powerhouse co-founders of The Safe House Project, a nonprofit organization that's transforming the fight against human trafficking in America. Founded in 2017, The Safe House Project was born out of Kristi and Brittany's shared passion to end human trafficking and offer safety, healing, and hope to survivors. Inspired by the Underground Railroad and the legacy of safe havens, they created a national movement to build safe homes and restore freedom to survivors across the country. Today, The Safe House Project has become a national leader in the anti-trafficking space — providing over 227,000 safe nights for survivors each year, launching safe houses across the U.S., and mobilizing communities with tools, education, and action steps to end trafficking for good. In this episode, you'll hear:

Derek Marsh joins Dr. Sandie Morgan as the two discuss leveraging financial tools and intelligence as core investigative strategies to disrupt human trafficking operations and improve survivor restitution outcomes. Derek Marsh Derek Marsh is the Associate Director of the Global Center for Women and Justice and a deputy chief with extensive law enforcement experience. He has been a frequent guest on the Ending Human Trafficking Podcast and led a recent roundtable discussion on following the money in human trafficking investigations. His background includes hands-on experience with trafficking investigations and a deep understanding of the collaborative approaches needed to combat these complex crimes. Key Points Financial intelligence serves as a core investigative tool that provides a clearer perspective of criminal organizations than traditional methods relying on confidential informants or victim testimony. Sophisticated money laundering patterns include funnel accounts, structured cash deposits, and geographically patterned movements that help traffickers hide the origin and legitimacy of their funds. Financial investigations can expose connections between what appear to be separate crimes, revealing larger criminal enterprises rather than isolated "mom and pop" operations. Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) generated by banks when they detect unusual deposit patterns provide valuable intelligence for law enforcement agencies investigating trafficking operations. Advanced software tools like those from Valid8 Financial can visualize complex transaction flows and present financial data in comprehensible formats for courts, making cases stronger and easier to prosecute. Geographic analysis of financial flows reveals high-risk corridors between certain countries that banks monitor for potential criminal activity, such as Nigeria to Italy or Philippines to Europe pathways. Human trafficking investigations require multi-agency collaboration because finances cross jurisdictional boundaries as easily as phone calls or internet connections. Public-private partnerships with banks, corporations, NGOs, and faith-based organizations create interlocking layers of expertise that strengthen investigations globally. Financial tools enable law enforcement to seize assets and freeze accounts tied to trafficking operations, providing funds for survivor restitution that has historically been difficult to collect. Using financial intelligence reduces the burden on survivors to testify in court by providing concrete evidence that doesn't require victim testimony to prove criminal enterprise operations. The approach transforms financial intelligence into justice by treating human trafficking fundamentally as a financial crime that exploits people for profit. Training law enforcement on financial investigative techniques and providing AI-enhanced tools are essential since most officers lack accounting expertise needed for complex financial analysis.
