MOUNTAIN HEART is newly reformed and reinvigorated, and in the studio this past few months, putting together their first recorded project from the new lineup. Josh Shilling and Aaron Ramsey remain from the previous active version of the boundary-pushing bluegrassers, as does Seth Taylor who joined in 2011. Recent additions include Molly Cherryholmes (of the legendary CHERRYHOLMES family band) and Jeff Partin. UNDERHILL ROSE has beautiful music, charming personalities, incredible harmonies and rippling success. Armed with a fresh sound, visually appealing performances and an extraordinary ability to blend a multitude of musical genres, Underhill Rose is a trio with a sound that clings to listeners and audience members alike. In the last three years, the all-female trifecta from Asheville, North Carolina has independently released two albums in the AMA Top 30, with The Great Tomorrow currently on the rise, gathering critical acclaim. WoodSongs Kid: Kentucky Drive is a newly formed Bluegrass Band consisting primarily of members who have known each other for less than six months. The band recently showcased at SPBGMA.

I'm adding permanent handles to all my files and rasps and thought I would do them on the pole lathe.  This is a great way to use up some scrap and the positive registration of a fixe handle actually makes a rasp easier to use.  I used brass ferrules I bought at Lee Valley for a few pennies and a piece of Teak that was 1.5" round and 7" long.  If using a pole lathe the piece needs to be a bit longer so you have a place to run the drive cord.  The music in todays episode is thanks to Underhill Rose and is called "Helpless Wanderer".  If you like it please go support these talented ladies in their new Kickstarter campaign for their new album.  It should be another hit.  http://kck.st/1gdwwrD or http://underhillrose.com
