Faga also reflects on his firsthand experiences during the original Occupy Wall Street protests, connecting the dots to legendary financial deep-dives found on early 4chan threads and the infamous Abacus banking scandal. Finally, we transition to sports and culture. It's 2A Tuesday on the Marc Cox Morning Show and Mark Walters of Armed American Radio is here to break down one of the biggest Second Amendment weeks in Supreme Court history. The Hamani decision just came down nine to zero — and what it means is the federal government can no longer automatically ban an entire class of people from owning guns simply because they smoke marijuana. But Mark isn't popping champagne just yet — the liberal justices telegraphed exactly what they'll do the moment they regain power, and it's a direct shot at the Bruin precedent that's been winning case after case for gun owners. Then Marc and Mark dig into a blockbuster Fifth Circuit ruling that silencers are protected arms under the Second Amendment — setting up a circuit split that could land at the Supreme Court. And the Wohlford case could drop any day, potentially delivering a third massive gun rights victory before the term closes. The left is watching, waiting, and court-packing is on their to-do list. This is why you can't afford to miss Armed American Radio — and you can't afford to miss this segment. The Supreme Court handed down a unanimous ruling this week in United States v. Hemani, holding that a marijuana user cannot be stripped of his Second Amendment right to own a firearm simply because he sometimes uses cannabis. Justice Neil Gorsuch wrote the majority opinion, leaning heavily on the founders' own well-documented love of alcohol to argue that responsible substance use has never historically disqualified Americans from bearing arms. Dahlia Lithwick and Mark Joseph Stern unpack the ruling, note what it does not settle about the still-murky Bruen test, and reflect on how dramatically the justices' posture toward marijuana has shifted since the "Bong Hits for Jesus" case they decided less than two decades ago. Then, Dahlia sits down with David Gans, director of the Human Rights, Civil Rights, and Citizenship Program at the Constitutional Accountability Center, to discuss his forthcoming Stanford Law Review article, Forgotten Framers: Black Conventions and the Second Founding. Between 1864 and 1869, Black Americans gathered in more than fifty conventions in packed churches and meeting halls across the country to demand equal citizenship, voting rights, bodily autonomy, protection from racial violence, and access to education. These conventions molded the Reconstruction amendments in ways that originalist jurisprudence ignores.Gans explains how the Roberts court's colorblind reading of the Fourteenth and Fifteenth Amendments distorts this history by ignoring the explicitly race-conscious vision the conventions—and the amendments themselves—championed. He also explains how the Guarantee Clause, long a "sleeping giant," could still offer a constitutional path to combat partisan and racial gerrymandering after Calais and Milligan. Gans wrote about this facet of the history recently in Slate. This is part of Opinionpalooza, Slate's coverage of the major decisions from the Supreme Court. You probably have a bottle of weed killer sitting in your garage right now. But do you actually know what's inside it? After years of controversy surrounding glyphosate, many manufacturers replaced it with new "glyphosate-free" formulas. The promise sounds great. But when I looked closer at the labels, I found something surprising. Some of these new products contain three or four active ingredients, including fast-acting contact herbicides, systemic grass killers, broadleaf herbicides, and even long-lasting soil residual chemistry. Today we're getting nerdy. We'll break down what these ingredients actually do, compare them to traditional glyphosate, and talk about the difference between a product being dangerous versus the actual risk of using it. Why does your spiritual life feel stuck right now? You know you are supposed to love God with everything you've got, but it feels more like an obligation than a fire. You sing the songs. You show up. You try to want it. And still, something feels distant. In this sermon, Dr. Mark Harris opens our brand new series Counterfeit Kings by walking us through the only person in the entire Bible of whom it is said that he loved the Lord with all his heart and all his soul and all his very. The Hebrew Shema in Deuteronomy 6:4 to 5 is the most famous text in all of Jewish life, repeated every morning, every night, taught to children before anything else. Jesus said this command is the foundation of every other one. And yet only one person in the whole biblical narrative is named as having fully obeyed it.That person is King Josiah, and the wild part is that Josiah came from one of the most disastrous family lines in Scripture (2 Kings 22 and 23, 2 Chronicles 34 and 35). His grandfather Manasseh was the most wicked king in Judah's history. His father Ammon followed the same path and was assassinated in the palace when Josiah was eight years old. The Bible had been hidden or destroyed. Idol worship, child sacrifice, and every false god imaginable were woven into daily life. And yet at 16, this kid made a decision in his heart to seek God. By 20 he was destroying altars Solomon himself had built 300 years earlier. And a few years later, he found the lost Book of the Law inside the temple and tore his clothes when he realized how far his people had drifted.Dr. Mark Harris pulls four characteristics out of Josiah's story for anyone wanting to love God for real and not for show. Need him. Weed the garden of whatever competes with him in your music, your screens, your scrolling, your habits. Feed your soul on his actual word, not just other people's sermons. And lead others toward him because you cannot help it.Dr. Mark Harris closes by tracing the line that finally lands at Jesus. Twenty five years after Josiah died, the Babylonians destroyed the temple and the palace, and Davidic kingship looked over forever. Six hundred years later, Matthew 1 opens with: the genealogy of Jesus Christ, the son of David. The promise did not die. The true King came, not to defeat a foreign empire, but to defeat hell itself for everyone chained to it who did not even know it.If you are tired of going through the motions, this teaching gives you a path back to wholehearted faith.

What starts as a story about a kid from Utah with a promising football career ends somewhere nobody saw coming — including Chad himself.Growing up in Utah, Chad was the guy with a future. Athletics, ambition, a clear path forward. Then a knee injury in high school changed everything. What started as pain management turned into something much harder to put down. Weed and ecstasy in high school gave way to pain pills after the injury, and once that door opened, Chad walked through it fast.He dropped out of high school. Got into door to door sales. Found ways to fund a life that was quietly unraveling. The escalating drug use brought escalating problems, including criminal activity that started stacking consequences he couldn't outrun.A move to California was supposed to be the reset. It didn't quite work out that way, but it did lead him to the woman who would become the mother of his child. They moved back to Utah together, and Chad kept trying to get it together. He couldn't. The relationship didn't survive it.And then came the moment that actually broke through.Separation from his daughter. That was the thing that reached him where nothing else could. Chad made the decision to move back to California, and this time something was different. He found lasting sobriety in 2024 and hasn't looked back. Today he works alongside his brother at Sacred Journey Men's Recovery Center, turning everything he lived through into something that helps other men find their way out.Connect with Sacred Journey Treatment Center on InstagramDM me on InstagramMessage me on FacebookListen AD FREE & workout with me on Patreon Connect with me on TikTokEmail me chasingheroine@gmail.comSee you next week!

This week, we ask the question nobody thought we'd be asking in 2026: Could Stephen A. Smith be president? Apparently, Donald Trump isn't buying it. We break down Trump's comments and discuss whether the First Take legend's State of the Union address would simply be 90 minutes of yelling, "Stay off the WEED!"Then we dive into the latest verdict involving Karmelo Anthony and the reactions that followed. As always, social media proved once again that nobody waits for all the facts before posting paragraphs longer than the Constitution.Meanwhile, New York Knicks fans gathered for a watch party and somehow transformed "Let's go Knicks!" into "Let's go to jail!" We examine how a celebration turned into a riot and why New Yorkers treat sporting events with the same intensity as medieval invasions. And finally, we head to California, where election season resembles a reality show written by people who have never met each other. From gubernatorial hopefuls to campaign promises that sound like rejected movie scripts, we take a look at why California politics continues to provide enough material for comedians to retire comfortably. It's sports hysteria, presidential hot takes, courtroom drama, and political theater—all in one episode. So grab your popcorn, avoid flipping any cars after the game, and remember: in California, every election is just "Survivor" with campaign signs.

he Untolld Story of NYC's Weed KiingpiinGenovese mob-scion Silvio Eboli lived within the shadows of history, and now for the first time, the untold story of a mafia legend is revealed. The Ganja Godfather (Trineday, March 23, 2015, ISBN: 978-1937584955) s the story about an ongoing organized criminal operation, in real time with firsthand accounts and experiences by award-winning author and investigative journalist, Toby Rogers.Shadowing the Ganja Godfather, Rogers witnesses it all standing next to the Boss himself: violence, drugs, celebrities, girls, construction hustles, crime-family business meetings and social gatherings. From strip clubs in Atlantic City to Sunday night dinner with the wife and kids, Rogers experiences whatever the Ganja Godfather does on any given day. As exhilarating as Silvio's life had become, it certainly was much more stressful behind the scenes. Being the Empire State's spliff king was undoubtedly the hardest job in New York. And it was only after Silvio finally got to the top of the mountain that he realized just how easy it was to fall over the edge. With a wife and kids, dysfunctional family business obligations, and an out-of-control social life all pulling him in conflicting paths, Silvio struggled keep the empire moving forward without detection from law enforcement. But when he was introduced to a Colombian cocaine princess with aspirations to become a model, he saw an opportunity to expand the family's profit margins to unimaginable heights and risked it all despite the collision course with disaster he saw right before him.Toby Rogers is an award winning author and investigative journalist. He has written for the New York Times, New York Post, Village Voice, High Times, Clamor Magazine, and Houston's Public News. He has been featured on MSNBC's Countdown with Keith Olbermann, Democracy Now, with Amy Goodman as well as the National Enquirer. He was a consultant and featured in HBO's Horns and Halos documentary.Rogers' first book, Ambushed: Secrets of the Bush Family, was featured in newspapers and magazines in America and internationally. rThe New York Times described Rogers as “a hell of a journalist,” and Ambushed as “very impressive top notch stuBecome a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/the-opperman-report--1198501/support.

Simon Espinosa, a young comedy writer from Santiago, Chile, turned a stoned text message chain with his brother into by far the largest Spanish-language cannabis media platform on the planet.  En Vola (which literary translates to “in flight”) started in 2012 as a rudimentary website where stoners could post their most mind-bending and ingenious high-deas. Today, Simon and his collaborators have accumulated over 85 million views on YouTube alone. And Simon doesn't just create comedic weed videos, he also works tirelessly to educate the community, push for legalization, and to bring together culture and activism by organizing events, at home in Chile and around the world.
