YDN Designguide presents the Allstars central exhibition at DMY Berlin 2010. The central exhibition reveals pioneering products and experimental prototypes by more than 400 international designers. The exhibition features new product launches by professional designers, studios and firms (Allstars area) as well as processual and experimental works by young and upcoming designers (Youngsters area). Aside from curated exhibitions by selected international design institutions such as the Centro Metropolitano de Diseño (Buenos Aires), Seoul Design Festival and the Vienna Design Week, you can explore the foresighted concepts and latest projects of 17 international design schools such as Goldsmiths College London, Lund University or Ecole Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs de Strasbourg. Furthermore the central exhibition will include a special focus on Swiss Design as well as a spotlight on advanced technologies and design supplementing this year’s Symposium theme.

YDN Designguide takes you on a tour through a selection of Ventura Lambrate. The new exciting area of the Salone in Milan thats taken 2 years to mature to what it is today. As a reaction to the never ending cocktail openings and masses of drunk italians in Zona tortona, Organisation in Design decided to gather some of the best designers and collectives in a new area of Milan. text from the organisation: "The goal with Ventura Lambrate is to offer the international design world a new area in Milan, where the focus will once again be on the quality of the presentations, the substance of the exhibitors and the content of the works. Some of the projects like the animals by Frederique Morrel really caught our attention. There's always a high number of projects from the Design academy Eindhoven but more often these days we see projects from other schools such as the Konstfack from Sweden as well. BCXSY took their inspiration to Japan and worked together with craftsman on their new "origins" project. And Formafantasma showed their new adventure in the Autarky exhibition found in the basement of the gallery. video by designguide.tv
