Foi anunciada a retirada das tarifas americanas sobre produtos brasileiros. Nos EUA, o juro de 5 anos fechou 11 bps, e as bolsas tiveram desempenho negativo – S&P 500 -1,95%, Nasdaq -3,07% e Russell 2000 -0,78%. No Brasil, o jan/29 abriu 4 bps, o Ibovespa caiu 1,88% e o real desvalorizou 1,96%. A poco sabe la victoria en casa contra Bilbao Basket que precisamente costó más de la cuenta también yendo perdiendo al descanso por 4 pts y con ya más pitos que silencio en las gradas de nuestro Palacio. Que pase esto rápido, dos partidos que deberían ser victorias esta semana. La primera en euroliga contra un equipo que ha empezado muy bien la temporada y ya nos ganó el año pasado aquí, Zalgiris. Y visita a Granada que debería ser innegociable pero ya no nos fiamos. Después un partido difícil contra el hasta ahora líder de la competición continental antes de parón por las ventanas clasificatorias para el mundial.

Ciertamente el fichaje de campanillas está resultando acertadísimo y si bien ya viene cuajando buenas actuaciones, la de ayer en la cancha de nuestro eterno rival ya nos hace quererle muchísimo más. En lo que se refiere a nuestro bagaje de los partidos que tenemos pendientes después de nuestro último programa pues... derrota de nuevo fuera de casa en Munich lo cual nos dejaba al borde de una crisis de resultados y juego... aunque sabiendo que solo a medias viendo de lo que era capaz el Madrid en fases pero luego en otras no, pero claro, los partidos duran 40 minutos y habría que decir que de juego también. Si hubiéramos perdido en casa contra Fenerbahce habríamos entrado de lleno en esa crisis, pero salió el mejor partido de la temporada y luego en ACB primera victoria fuera de casa de la misma y ayer otra más en la cancha del Barcelona. Buen empujón en el aspecto positivo para nuestra confianza y en el negativo para ellos que les dimos nosotros. A seguir así y despejando dudas que se viene otra semana de aúpa en Euroliga: Valencia en su cancha y Panathinaikos en la nuestra. En ACB mañana en Badalona ojalá saquemos el partido contra un equipo que ha empezado muy bien la temporada y el próximo domingo en casa Bilbao debería ser una victoria segura.

J Darrin Gross  I'd like to ask you, Chris Zona, what is the BIGGEST RISK?   Chris Zona Sure. So I think it really fits within what we're talking about. I think the biggest risk for investors that are in this this realm is that you need to be comfortable with taking over a potential non performing note, right? Like there is no way to avoid risk when you're making this sort of play. So what you need to do is kind of, you know, balance minimizing the risk through your diligence process, because you don't want to take on something that you're not ready to you don't want to overextend in taking it on, and then kind of balance that with the, you know, maximize your return on whatever risk, wherever in the risk matrix that you fall right, they always say higher risk, higher returns. Was very true. You know, if you're going to buy a very, very non performing loan, you're going to be, you know, probably up on the tier of of the extension of capital, and you need to mitigate whatever risk, make sure that you have a cap stack in place to do that you don't want to take on additional debt in order to kind of engage in that strategy, because now you're becoming another note holder as well as being the Enforcer. And then make sure that on the back end, that you're prepared for whatever the downside of your investment is, and that your investors, if you're running a management that you're openly communicating with them, timeline and the potential downfall, as you've said, there's the nice thing about this strategy is, if you're not a very, very specific strategy fund or investor, you can minimize the downside by how you enter and what your exit looks like.
