Justin Cessante is an American football coach who is the Director of Operations for Legacy Football Organization in Brighton Michigan and the Defensive Coordinator for Detroit Catholic Central High School. He has an incredible story and passion for the sport and his athletes can be heard throughout the podcast. We talk about coaching urgency, lessons learned from high caliber coaches, the danger of concussions in football (and what he and his staff are doing to help it), and a whole lot of other interesting topics.With Legacy, Justin has built an organization that is committed to developing football players not just as athletes but as people. While it is easy to count his successes by players signing to D1 schools or victories on the field the real impact of his committed coaching staff and Justin is seen by how they help those players excel in adulthood.He is an alum of DCC and upon his graduation from Grand Valley State, where he won 2 national championships, returned to coach there. He is now the defensive coordinator and is continuing the strong tradition of both football and personal excellence that those athletes are known for.
Wrestling coach Kyle Hansen is on the on the podcast! Kyle has a strong resume both as a competitor and coach. He wrestled at the University of Northern Iowa where he earned All-American honors, TWICE! After graduating he transitioned to a coaching role when he took the position of Head Assistant Coach at Ohio University. While there he helped rebuild the program from a bottom of the table team to one that was winning MAC championships and producing national qualifying and All-American wrestlers. He also holds two Master Degrees in Coach Education and Education Administration. He currently is the Director of Wrestling at the Legacy Center in Brighton, MIchigan.
