This is an extremely important hire for head coach Lincoln Riley and the guys talk about the latest they are hearing about the search, how likely it is that Patterson gets hired and when it could be announced. The guys also discuss the breaking news that secondary coach Doug Belk will not being a part of this defensive staff going forward. His name came up as a potential candidate during the search, but as it became more likely that Patterson was the direction USC was going it seemed less and less likely that Belk would be sticking around. The 6-foot-5, 257 pound tight end signed with USC Wednesday after playing 16 games for Wisconsin over the last two seasons with six starts. He has 22 career catches for 178 yards and two touchdowns. The portal window closes on Friday and there are no more additions expected by the Trojans for this cycle following the massive No. 1 ranked high school recruiting class that was brought in back in December. The guys also give their thoughts on the ongoing search for the next USC defensive coordinator, with the name of former TCU head coach Gary Patterson coming up in more conversations as of late. Head coach Lincoln Riley wasn't in a hurry to make the hire, and with only one day left for players to enter the portal it is looking more and more likely that the hire will come after that portal window closes.
