Discussing the history and background of obscure comic book characters and reintroducing them for today. There are a lot of characters out there in the vastness of comic book history, and lot of them fall to the wayside to be forgotten or neglected. I think looking back on some these characters today is a way to give them a second chance, especially with the popularity of comics being higher than its ever been in recent years. Just because they're obscure, doesn't mean their bad. Or maybe it does. Let's find out.

What do you want from me?! I started this weird naming thing and I'm sticking with it no matter how bad they get. It could be worse. I could have gone with "This Big Robot has a Rusty Exoskeleton". Which...damn it, that is better. Oh well, just look, enjoy the episode if you can. I'm sure it's a cracken one in some ways. This week I'm talking about two things! That's like...double the usual amount of things. So it's better already. Maybe I can double my listeners with this one from zero to... well that would still be zero. But DOUBLED! Get a bowl of cereal for this cartoons and comics episode.

    17. Spoiler Alert! It's a DC character.

A super long episode?! Haven't had one of these in awhile. So enjoy. Lots of Spoiler talk ahead. But I'm also talkin about other DC characters. I still don't have a good opening routine, but just hang in there, at some point I'm sure I'll stumble onto comedy gold. We're in this together my one single listener. I do this for you. It's a good episode this time, I swear. They all are, but nowhere near as good as this one. Probably?

The Flintstones wish they were as exciting and high octane as this series! It's the Fast and the Furious meets Jurassic Park. This week I'm talking about Cadillacs and Dinosaurs. Or as it's was originally known, Xenozoic Tales. A series that could easily make a comeback today. This episode may not accomplish that, but its a good start. It's got two things I think will be cool forever, Cars and Dinos.

    15. Wakanda Villain is Living Laser?

Within this age of Isolation, movies and shows are either on hold or pushed back. This includes the next phase of Marvel movies. So while we wait, I was thinking about the already announced Black Panther 2 and how the right villain could help balance out Black Panther's over powered suit from the first movie. I mean... they could just get rid of it and make him more like his comic version where he has good tech, some special herbs and his incredible intelligence. Plus the backing of his entire country and its resources. But we all know that won't happen. So the antagonist has to be even more powerful. Hence, I'm digging up a low tier villain who I believe has what it takes to make BP2 shine. The Living Laser.

When the Top Tier Avengers are out saving the universe, who's left to save your town? The bargain basement heroes of the Great Lakes Avengers of course. They don't have much, but they make it work. Each member of this team brings something different to the table in both powers and personality, they kinda suck, but they got heart. And I think that's worth getting a bit more spotlight. (re-upload from December 25 2018)

Cassandra Cain. That's who. That's who I'm talking about for this short episode. A girl using that name showed up in the Harley Quinn and Birds of Prey movie, but that wasn't much of an introduction to that character. So who is she in the comics? If you don't already know about the real Cassandra Cain by now, this is nice and quick rundown. (re-upload from December 18 2018)

You know...that Cloak guy and Dagger girl. From Marvel Comics. They had a crappy teen drama show on an obscure streaming service that no one used or knew about. Yeah, these two were made for this podcast. I think they have the potential to be bigger, but what do you do with these two runaways who initially existed as an anti-drug message and didn't seem to offer much past that. They limped on through Marvel history getting some face time here and there, but can they be better? (re-upload from December 11 2018)

Who the hell are Hawk and Dove? Well, a few different people have worn those costumes. They currently exist in the live action Titans show. But let's see what they were about in the comics. Not much. This one is short. I don't even remember if I had a reboot pitch for these two. Why did I bother? I don't know. I don't know nothing. Except that you should give this episode a listen. Spooky Scary Obscurity. Well, kind of. I think a good bit of people know Swamp Thing or are at least aware of him. He had two movies already. Yeah. Believe it or not. But he hasn't had much of a presence in comics for quite sometime. Then there's Black Orchid, she's even more off the radar. She popped up in comics for Justice League Dark, but when that didn't quite take off...back to the green house. So why can't they catch a break? Would a reboot help? Couldn't hurt. So this crime fighting tag team have been under two different publishing banners. I'll talk about that and the fact there is a potential movie idea floating around somewhere in Hollywood. Will be ever see it? That was unclear even before the now times in 2020. These characters are from a smaller but growing publisher and could use some love and spot light cause they're truly great. And any further adventures be it comic, tv or movies would be welcome... provided they're good. I have some ideas. (re-upload from October 9 2018)

More from Image Comics! This episode about The Wild C.A.T.S is more of that special 1990s energy. With lots of alien stuff dumped on top. With this comic someone may have had a hit on their hands, yet it still faded into obscurity, but maybe after a revisit, we can slip on the Infinity Gauntlet or pull out the cosmic cube and give it another shot at life. Spikes, pouches, too many belts, cyborgs, and bikini costumes, this episode, the focus is on Gen 13, the edgy sexy X-men of the 90s from Image Comics. Could stories about this group of teen superheroes on the run work today? Sure, if HBO makes it. What went right, what went wrong, the good, the bad, the drama. I'm going all in to see if there's something to be salvaged. (re-upload from August 27 2018)

Taskmaster is in the new Black Widow movie that exists, but hasn't been released in any format yet. This is an older recording, but even so Taskmaster is still what you would consider an obscure character. The movie may change that depending on the depiction Marvel studios uses for their movie, but I'm gonna walk you through his history and powers and why he's real deal merc of Marvel Comics. And while he's been a bit of bit player in the comics, I think he's still got a few more adventures left in him. (re-upload from September 11 2018)

I'm gonna talk about it cause a lot of people probably don't know about it, and also it was a comic. Ha! Loop hole. So let's get into it, it's a long one but a good one if I do say so myself. And I do... cause no one else will. Hah, if you're gonna make a turd, you can at least stand by your turd. But this is a podcast, so hopefully others can enjoy it and stand by it too... what is this, what am I doing. Just have a listen, please? (re-upload from August 28 2018)

This episode I'm talking a protagonist who would be perfect for a superhero survival horror. If you're into that kind of thing. Imagine if the Joker was a engineering genius with the capital to build amusement parks for the sole purpose of killing heroes. Look I'm not even sure Morgan Freeman could make that sound cool, but it is. I think. I'm talking about Marvel comics character Arcade. (re-upload from August 14 2018)

It's me babbling about one of my favorite characters from the DC comics universe: The Question. I'm talking history and background, and then my thoughts on how to bring him or her (cause there have been different versions of this character) back into the limelight.
