Send us a textIn this episode of Brewstilled, I'm recapping week 9 for the 2025 NFL season in the House of the Lombardi. In week 9, November is here and we watched the Lombardi teams continue their crusades. The Ravens won against the Miami Dolphins as Lamar Jackson is back as the Ravens Quarterback. Can the Ravens rebuild their season? The Falcons lost a close game to the Patriots that could have gone in favor of the Falcons. The Chargers won against the Titans, but suffered another loss in their offensive line. Detroit lost to the Vikings in a divisional game. Will the month of November sink the Lions season? The Raiders and Jacksonville played in an overtime thriller that ended in a Jaguars victory. The Rams won against the Saints as the Rams look to build on their momentum. I'll discuss this and more here on Brewstilled with an Abbey Style Ale from River North Brewing as the beer pairing.

Send us a textThe Ramirez Brothers will recap the Chargers game versus Tennessee Titans. The Bolts take home the 27-20 victory but it was ugly especially after the offense and special teams gave up 14 points. Joe Alt and Bobby Hart left the game early with injuries, so a struggling offensive line lost two key figures. The defense had lapses of inconsistency but for the most part played a solid game. Mackenzie Rivers and Dan Rivera talk NFL Week 9 Survivor Contests NFL Week 9 Survivor Contest Strategy — Mackenzie Rivers & Dan Rivera | RJ Bell's Dream Preview (0:13) Host Mackenzie Rivers opens celebrating another week survived and welcomes Dan Rivera as they hit the halfway point of the Dan and Mack Can Survive series, discussing remaining teams, equity, and the narrowing path ahead. (1:00) Dan lists viable survivor options—Cowboys, Seahawks, Broncos, Chargers, Rams, Commanders, and Eagles—and explains why Thanksgiving scheduling complicates planning. (2:49) Mack recaps Week 8 carnage with Bengals and Falcons upsets before pivoting to Week 9 double-digit favorites like Packers (-13 vs Panthers) and Rams (-14 vs Saints). (3:58) Dan details his mapping process: identifying “must-use” teams such as the Bears and keeping injured squads like the Chargers on ice until healthy. (6:37) They clarify contest structure—19 weeks, 19 picks with a special Thanksgiving slot. (8:00) Mack highlights Rams as top option vs Saints with rookie QB Tyler Shough replacing Spencer Rattler; cites PFF-EPA QBR composite ranking Dak Prescott #1 and Sam Darnold #2 to underscore metrics in QB evaluation. (12:23) Dan checks the Rams' remaining schedule—Panthers (11/30) and Cardinals (12/7)—noting why this may be their optimal week to use them, while Mack calls the Saints “perfect tankers.” (17:10) They confirm Rams as official Week 9 pick and review Green Bay vs Carolina, agreeing the Packers are safe if available. (19:37) Dan dives deep on Josh Jacobs' injury, Green Bay's kicker issues, and Carolina's O-line woes before Mack ranks Bryce Young around the 20th best QB. (24:57) Chargers (-9.5 at Titans) analysis: Dan argues L.A. “bullies bad teams,” Mack notes road risk and prefers home favorites. (29:07) They dissect Vikings-Lions: J.J. McCarthy returns, Carson Wentz out, Dan grades McCarthy as two-year project; Mack tracks line movement (7.5 → 9). (34:36) Other angles: Colts vs Steelers (Colts due for regression) and Seahawks vs Commanders (off bye, defense rolling, Terry McLaurin out). (38:22) Dan floats the “gross” alternative — Bears over Bengals if you lack elite teams — while Mack calculates the risk-reward gap (85% Rams vs 60% Bears). (41:13) They finalize the Week 9 Survivor Pick: ✅ Los Angeles Rams to beat New Orleans. (44:10) Dan pre-scouts Week 10 lookahead lines — Broncos (-9.5 vs Raiders), Bills (-8 at Miami), Colts (-7 in Germany), Seahawks (-6 vs Cardinals) — and both agree on early lean: Denver Broncos Week 10. (47:00) They close with contest equity math, future weeks planning, and thank listeners for staying alive in Survivor. Strategy, data, and banter from two contest sharps who actually play it — subscribe and survive with Dan & Mack each week! Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

RJ Bell, Steve Fezzik and Mackenzie Rivers dive into NFL Week 9 betting. RJ Bell, Steve Fezzik and Mackenzie Rivers deliver an intense, fast-moving breakdown of NFL Week 9 betting, loaded with sharp insights, humor, and veteran perspective. (0:00–2:44 RJ) RJ opens with a limited-time $20 for $100 Pregame.com promo, setting a self-aware tone after a cold streak before pivoting to the “six-seven” inside joke. (2:45–9:38 RJ & Fezzik) They riff on culture and YouTube memes, then dig into Fezzik's documented record, the reality of variance, and public scrutiny—RJ publicly offers to bet $1K with anyone doubting Fezzik's winning ways. They stress long-term perspective, bankroll discipline, and Fezzik's 9-of-12 winning seasons. (9:39–15:14 Fezzik) Fezzik unveils his best bet: Atlanta Falcons +0.5 first quarter vs Patriots, citing motivation, coin-toss edges, and mismatch value. RJ challenges him on quarterback health and run-defense matchups, while McKenzie supports with EPA and DVOA metrics. (15:15–24:36) They debate totals, QB injuries, and the “grand salami” of leaguewide overs, revealing how context and psychology shape numbers. (24:37–35:06 RJ) RJ fires his best bet: Houston–Denver Under 40, explaining how both teams' offenses collapse under defensive pressure, why line moves misprice QB injuries, and how coaching style (Sean Payton's conservatism) locks games into “rock fight” mode. (35:07–38:25 Mackenzie) Mackenzie counters with Colts –3 vs Steelers, supported by data showing the Steichen offense outperforming Tomlin's blitz-heavy D; RJ and Fezzik debate side vs team-total angles and line value between –2.5 and –3. (38:26–44:46 Fezzik) Fezzik adds Saints +3.5 4Q vs Rams and Panthers +3.5 4Q vs Packers, explaining how blowouts, motivation, and end-game math make late-quarter dogs profitable. RJ dissects situational trends, home/road splits, and QB rotations, endorsing both plays. (44:47–59:15) They tangent hilariously into Shakespeare, “Back to School,” and North Texas–Navy live-betting logic, turning first-quarter tempo into a masterclass in betting time segments. (59:16–1:03:38 RJ) RJ's second best bet: Arizona Under 26.5 points at Dallas (MNF), citing Kyler Murray's road, primetime, and post-injury struggles; Fezzik cautions against underestimating Dallas's weak D. (1:07:14–1:10:22 Fezzik) Fezzik's player prop: Mahomes Over 4.5 rushes, Allen Over 7.5 rushes, backed by game-flow data and high-leverage situational running. (1:14:45–1:20:27 RJ) RJ leans Chiefs –2.5 vs Bills, defending KC's underrated defense and Mahomes's playoff-like motivation. (1:25:03–1:30:04) They hit Chargers –3 vs Titans, praising Harbaugh's 15-4 ATS record on East-coast trips, and (1:30:05–1:33:12) explore 49ers run game props vs Giants. (1:33:53–end) Final lightning round: Bears to score first vs Bengals, quick-hit leans, and closing banter on variance, sharp edges, and humility in handicapping. Featuring: RJ Bell (@RJinVegas) | Steve Fezzik (@FezzikSports) | Mackenzie Rivers (@mackinRivers)Topics: NFL Week 9 best bets, first-quarter/4Q angles, totals logic, QB prop edges, and how to read line value like a pro.
