If you have natural hair and live in the USA you may have heard or even you yourself may have said you have given up on going to African braiding salons. because they are unprofessional, rude, will snatch your edges away because of the tight braiding, you have to go there with your hair washed and blow dried before, etc. It can be overwhelming. I am going to explain how you can avoid getting frustrated because you went to an African braiding salon. I am going to give you tips so you know where you stand as a customer. Here are your tips to get better service at your next African Braiding Salon and these apply to any salon. Find out if you need to have your hair washed or blow dried before you come in. The minute you sit down on the chair say what your expectations are. Do you want your edges tight or not. During the service especially the first cornrow evaulate how tight it is. During the service point out the bad customer service. Do not suffer in silence. You are a paying customer. If you are not satisfied during the service. Talk to a manager and simply leave. Find a stylist that will treat you better. There are a lot of people that braid but do not have a salon. Go on Instagram, facebook. You will find someone. Find a salon that caters to natural hair. Summer time is the hardest time for me to maintain my hair. It is either too hot to wear protective styles or my hair is wet from all the swimming.
