This reality of the quantum is what books like The Secret and the Law of Attraction have tried to explain (poorly, IMO). We know that energy attracts like energy. What this means is simple: positive thoughts attract positive and useful energy, while negative thoughts attract negative energy. It's no wonder people get so stuck in life, considering how most people give up control of their mind to the outside world and external factors. With a mental operating system like this, you have no chance in hell of controlling your destiny and are, basically, gambling with your future. Instead, if you take control over your thoughts and you use them effectively, you can do anything, be anything, get anything. The first step is awareness of your thoughts. You can't change something you ignore. So start paying attention to your thoughts. From there, opportunities will arise to do something about them. From there, you are planting the seeds of growth, and all you have to do is keep going.
