Biohacking expert Gary Brecka spent 22 years predicting people's deaths for life insurance companies. While analyzing millions of medical records, he discovered that many health problems stemmed from preventable nutrient deficiencies and poor oxygen management rather than genetics. Yet he was legally forbidden from warning the people behind the data. Frustrated by the system, he walked away from the industry and dedicated his life to helping people reclaim their health. In this episode, Gary shares powerful biohacking and wellness strategies to boost energy, improve brain health, and add years to your life through simple daily habits. In this powerful and deeply personal conversation, Darin sits down with transformational coach and author Danny Morel, a man who walked away from a billion-dollar real estate empire in pursuit of truth. What begins as a conversation about spirituality quickly turns into a raw exploration of trauma, identity, plant medicine, and the courage it takes to truly face yourself. Danny shares how the death of his mother shattered the illusion of external success and forced him into a radical journey inward, one that ultimately reshaped his entire life. Together, Darin and Danny explore the nature of the ego, the healing of parental wounds, the role of plant medicine, and why the answers we seek are not out in the world, but within us. When we finally stop chasing validation, success, and approval outside of ourselves, and we turn inward to face the pain, the fear, and the truth we've been avoiding, that's when life begins to change. The more we heal our relationship with ourselves, the more the world around us transforms, because awakening isn't about fixing the world out there… it's about finally discovering who we really are in here.

Explore the neuroscience behind musical improvisation—and what it reveals about our natural capacity for creativity.Summary: Creativity may be more natural than we think. Research on musicians and children improvising at the piano suggests that improvisation can quiet the brain's inner critic while engaging networks linked to exploration, play, and reward. In this episode of The Science of Happiness, we look at the neuroscience of improvisation—and what a “beginner's mind” can teach us about opening up creativity in everyday life. How To Do This Practice: Choose a simple starting point: Begin with something familiar—a simple melody, rhythm, phrase, movement, or creative prompt. It could be notes on a keyboard, a beat you tap on the table, a few lines of writing, or even a movement with your body. Change one small thing: Experiment by altering a single element, like the speed, mood, rhythm, or key. Small changes help spark creativity without feeling overwhelming. Let go of judgment: Remind yourself there are no mistakes in improvisation, only possibilities. If something sounds unexpected, treat it as part of the exploration rather than something to fix. Follow your curiosity: Notice what sounds, patterns, or ideas interest you and build on them. Let each moment guide the next instead of planning too far ahead. Treat it like play: Approach improvisation with a playful mindset, the way kids experiment and explore. The goal isn't perfection—it's discovery and enjoyment. Reflect on how it felt: Afterward, take a moment to notice how the experience affected your mood or mindset. Many people find that improvising helps them feel more relaxed, creative, and open. The Love, Happiness and Success Podcast With Dr. Lisa Marie Bobby
If you're avoiding boundaries because you don't want to seem selfish, this will flip the script. Healthy boundaries can create more emotional intimacy, reduce unhealthy feelings, and stop the burnout and stress spiral. So many kind, caring people get stuck in a pattern of saying yes when they really mean no. They're not weak, and they're not doing anything “wrong.” They're often afraid of conflict, afraid of disappointing someone, or afraid of losing a relationship. And that fear can pull you into the people pleasing cycle: over-giving, exhaustion, resentment, and eventually that sharp “No” that comes out of nowhere and leaves everyone feeling hurt. In this episode of the Love, Happiness and Success Podcast, we're talking about how to set boundaries in a way that protects your relationships instead of damaging them. You'll learn what healthy boundaries in relationships actually look like, why boundaries are not about controlling anyone else's behavior, and how to set a boundary with clarity and kindness — even when someone else has big feelings about it. If you've been wondering how to stop people pleasing, or you're trying to figure out what are healthy boundaries in a relationship, this is a practical place to start. As you listen, notice where you've been making your needs smaller to keep the peace, and what might change if your boundaries became an act of love for both of you. Episode Breakdown: 00:00 Why Boundaries Protect Relationships 04:26 Why Setting Boundaries Feels So Hard 06:45 The People-Pleasing Cycle 11:19 The Paradox: Boundaries Create Intimacy 15:53 Passive, Aggressive, and Assertive Communication 18:10 The Real Secret to Healthy Boundaries 27:36 Requests vs Boundaries 36:40 How to Start Practicing Boundaries 39:06 The 3-Step Boundary Process 45:46 What Their Reaction Tells You About The Relationship 50:36 Resources and Next Steps If this episode is hitting close to home, maybe you're recognizing people pleasing patterns, or noticing how hard it's been to set boundaries in a relationship, I want to offer you something that can make this easier. Why does that voice in your head wake you up at 3:00 AM telling you that everything's terrible? Why do we get stuck overthinking and feel anxious, angry, guilty, shameful, or even envious? There actually is a productive reason. I dug into the research and that voice and negative emotion might actually be good for us, if we use them correctly. I invited the world's leading expert on controlling your thoughts and emotions, Dr. Ethan Kross, to give us tools we can use today to feel better.

Many fathers carry unresolved shame from their own stories, and without realizing it, can pass that weight on to their children through words, expectations, or reactions. Michael and SJ unpack the crucial difference between guilt and shame—guilt says "I did something wrong," while shame whispers "something is wrong with me." When shame takes root, it can quietly shape identity and relationships for years. Through personal stories and honest reflection, the conversation explores how fathers can become more aware of the impact of their tone, responses, and presence. They highlight the power of empathy, attentive listening, and real-time repair—those humble moments when a father says, "I'm sorry." Far from weakening authority, these moments build trust, healing, and connection. This episode invites fathers to move beyond fear and perfection into humility and redemption—becoming men who confront shame, repair wounds, and help their children grow in freedom and belovedness. Do you know your unique stress personality pattern? What if your stress isn't coming from your workload… but from a hidden personality pattern running your life? Why do some people shut down under pressure, others explode, and others spiral into anxiety and overwhelm? And what if understanding your unique stress personality could completely transform your productivity, health, and leadership? In this episode of Productivity Smarts, host Gerald J. Leonard sits down with Dr. Trupti Gokani, board-certified neurologist, stress expert, and author of The Stress Rx: A Neurologist's Ayurvedic Prescription for Happiness and Health. Together, they explore the powerful connection between stress, trauma, brain function, and performance. Dr. Gokani explains how stress hijacks the brain, shifting control from the prefrontal cortex to the amygdala and survival centers. When that happens, we lose clarity, creativity, and executive function. Instead, we default into reactive patterns rooted in ancient wiring and often unresolved trauma. Drawing from Ayurvedic medicine and neuroscience, she breaks down the three stress personality states: windy (scattered and anxious), fiery (critical and reactive), and earthy (withdrawn and stuck). Understanding your state is the first step toward reclaiming balance. They also explore how hidden trauma, limiting beliefs, and unconscious narratives quietly shape leadership style, workplace dynamics, burnout, and even chronic illness. Through breathwork, awareness, and simple daily practices, Dr. Gokani shares how anyone can interrupt the stress cycle and return to optimal performance. If you want greater clarity, energy, emotional resilience, and productivity, this conversation offers both science and practical tools to help you reset from the inside out. The Happiness Warrior: Build a Healthier Relationship With Money, Mindset & Movement Are you "The Happiness Warrior"? In this episode of Rich Your Soul, Rocky Lalvani sits down with Eric North, entrepreneur, longevity clinic owner, and the self-described "Happiness Warrior" for a grounded, energizing conversation about what it really takes to build a life that feels rich from the inside out. They talk about how Eric's early exposure to entrepreneurship shaped his views on responsibility, what he learned about people's real financial habits while working in real estate, and why mindset, movement, and simple daily practices can create momentum in both health and wealth. Learning Insights How early entrepreneurship lessons shaped Eric's view of responsibility and "what it really means" to be your own boss. What Eric observed in real estate about income, savings, and the "appearance vs reality" gap in people's money lives. Why fear and misinformation keep people stuck, especially when it comes to making health changes. The "Happiness Warrior" idea: giving yourself permission to be happy and learning to express it from within. How self-talk and the words you use about yourself can either reinforce limitations or build momentum. Simple, practical "state change" tools: movement, stretching, and breathing you can use immediately (including a 4-second inhale / 7-second hold / 4-second exhale pattern). Why small habits beat big "reset" plans, and how to make change feel doable instead of overwhelming. Why This Conversation Matters A lot of people try to solve money stress with tactics alone, earn more, budget harder, invest better, while ignoring the deeper drivers: fear, identity, energy, and follow-through. Eric connects those dots in a practical way: when you improve how you regulate stress, move your body, and speak to yourself, you make clearer choices with money, health, and time. This episode matters because it reframes "rich" as something you can build consistently starting with small daily actions that compound. Money Learning Eric's years in real estate exposed him to a reality many people never see up close: high income doesn't automatically create stability. He describes situations where couples earning strong incomes still had very little saved, and other cases where someone wanted an expensive home but couldn't qualify financially, signaling how often money decisions are driven by image, emotion, or the need to "show" success. The deeper money lesson is that a healthy relationship with money is rooted in responsibility and honesty, not performance, and when money becomes a tool (instead of a scoreboard), it reduces stress and creates real options. Key Takeaway Eric's central message is that happiness and a richer life start with permission and practice. Give yourself permission to be happy, then support it with simple daily behaviors that build identity over time: choose better words, add a little movement, stretch, hydrate, and use breath to reset your nervous system when you feel stressed or spiraling. You don't need a dramatic overhaul to change your life; you need consistent actions you can repeat, because follow-through is what builds confidence. Meet Eric North Eric North, known to many as The Happiness Warrior (137K IG Followers). There's so much contradictory nutrition advice online right now—seed oils are toxic, eating breakfast is the key to losing weight, skipping breakfast is the key to losing weight, stress is the root problem. It feels like every single scroll gives you a new rule about what's okay to eat. We like to focus on advice that's actionable and realistic, not just viral. So we're ranking healthy eating advice from the internet from superior advice to horrible advice. I'm joined by registered dietician Kylie Sakaida, aka @nutritionbykylie, who has her master's in nutrition science and is a bestselling cookbook author.
I think the cultural perspective on optimism has decreased, even to the point of it being naive. It seems in vogue to be pessimistic and even cynical. The definition of optimism is, hopefulness and confidence about the future or the successful outcome of something. So let's consider the converse. In dealing with a challenge in your life, do you think your chances of being resilient and coming out with a best case scenario would be better served with a perspective and attitude of hopelessness and doubt? I thought of a surgeon. Would I rather my surgeon have hopefulness and confidence in my procedure, or hopelessness and doubt? Yes, we want them both to have skill. But I like this juxtaposition. My guest in this episode is Dr. Deepika Chopra. Deepika is a behavioral scientist and psychologist who specializes in what she has coined as, "evidence-based manifestation," which draws from behavioral science, emotional fitness, neuroscience, and ancient wisdom to build modern tools for resilience and joy. She holds a doctorate in clinical health psychology and completed a double postdoctoral fellowship at both the University of California at Los Angeles and Cedars Sinai Medical Center. She completed her formal dissertation on the topic of optimism, positive sensory visualization, and the connection to optimal well-being. She is a recurring guest on the TODAY Show, and her work has also been featured in Forbes, Harper's Bazaar, VOGUE, GOOP, Variety, E!, and more. She has led workshops for companies like Google, Amazon, and Amex, and has delivered keynotes at events including the Aspen Ideas Festival and The Atlantic's In Pursuit of Happiness. But more than any of those accolades what I intrigued myself most with, is she has a sone with a severe chronic illness. An illness that is likely to see his life cut very short. When we first started our discussion I asked her how he was doing, and Deepika said he was doing ok. Today. She lives day by day with his very existence in the balance. And she has devoted herself to optimism. So much so that she's now know as “The Optimism Dr.” Deepika has a brand new book titled, The Power of Real Optimism: A Practical, Science-Based Guide to Staying Resilient, Curious, and Open Even When Life Is Hard. The Love, Happiness and Success Podcast With Dr. Lisa Marie Bobby
Have you ever caught yourself thinking, “Why can't I just relax in this relationship?” Nothing dramatic has happened. There hasn't been an affair. No obvious betrayal. And yet you feel on edge. You double-check. You scan for signs. You wonder if something is wrong, even when everything seems fine. Trust issues in relationships do not always start with a fresh wound. Sometimes they are rooted in past hurt. Sometimes they grow out of relational trauma you thought you had already worked through. And sometimes they show up as relationship anxiety that refuses to settle down, even with a good partner. In this episode of Love, Happiness and Success, we're talking about what trust issues actually are and what they are not. We'll unpack why hypervigilance, reassurance-seeking, and worst-case thinking can quietly strain a healthy relationship, and why that reaction makes sense when you understand what your nervous system has been through. We'll also explore the difference between a real red flag and a trauma trigger, how attachment patterns shape your sense of safety, and what it truly takes to deal with trust issues in a way that builds secure connection instead of pushing love away. As you listen, gently ask yourself: Is this fear about what's happening right now, or about something that happened before? You deserve to feel secure, confident, and emotionally safe in your relationships. Learning how to deal with trust issues is not about becoming less sensitive. It is about becoming more grounded and more secure in yourself. Episode Breakdown 00:00 Why trust issues in relationships show up even when nothing is wrong 06:59 Signs of trust issues and relationship anxiety 09:18 How trust issues strain healthy relationships 21:27 Relational trauma and the roots of trust issues 33:14 Attachment styles and trust patterns 42:46 How anxiety spirals, the cereal box example 47:23 Therapy for trust issues, CBT, and couples counseling 56:36 Building secure trust from the inside out If this conversation is stirring something up for you, that makes sense. Rob Nelson and Peter Parnegg explore the idea that fun should not be the reward for success but the fuel for it. The conversation begins with Peter sharing a 30 year life list goal he is about to achieve, a father son heli skiing trip in British Columbia. That story opens a broader discussion about how many professionals postpone joy until "someday" while building businesses that quietly consume their lives. Rob and Peter suggest that fun requires intention and planning. If it is not scheduled, work will always take its place. They contrast bucket list thinking, which often waits until later in life, with life list thinking, which prioritizes meaningful experiences now. The episode also connects fun to productivity, arguing that energy, presence, and joy improve performance rather than distract from it. Whether through small daily moments or major life list experiences, the message is clear: success should include a life you are actively enjoying, not just building. Key Takeaways Fun should be treated as fuel for success rather than something postponed until later Meaningful experiences require intention and scheduling or work will consume the time Small joyful moments can be just as powerful as big life list events Energy and consciousness are the most important professional tools and fun helps renew both Memorable Quotes "What if fun is actually the fuel for success?" In this episode, one of the world’s top researchers on happiness and well-being Sonja Lyubomirsky explains why connection, curiosity, and listening may be the most powerful ingredients for a fulfilling life — and a meaningful retirement. Her new book, co-authored with relationship scientist Dr. Harry Reis, is How to Feel Loved: The Five Mindsets That Get You More of What Matters Most —and it offers a surprising and practical roadmap for getting there. Key insights? When you want to feel more loved, don’t try to make yourself more lovable. Don’t try to change the other person. Instead, change the conversation. Go first. Make them feel loved—and watch what happens next. This conversation is full of wisdom for anyone planning for or navigating retirement—a life stage where relationships become the center of your world. Dr. Lyubomirsky talks about the vulnerability paradox, the three magic words everyone wants to hear, why older people are actually happier than younger ones, and what really matters when you’re designing a life worth living. The secret to feeling loved is really feeling known.” On Going First “When we want to feel more loved, we often try to make ourselves more lovable. But the research suggests something different — we need to start by making the other person feel loved. A relationship is really a series of conversations. Changing the conversation can change the relationship. When you think about a relationship is a series of conversations. And so during your next conversation, the first step is actually to try to make the other person feel more loved. And so we talk about, you know, showing curiosity in the other person and really listening to them and helping them open up, you know, because the secret to feeling loved is really feeling known. You know, you can’t really feel loved by someone else if they don’t know you, right? If you don’t really know me, I can’t feel loved by you because I’ll always wonder would he still love me if he knew me? If you could see what was sort of behind those walls. It’s a little bit counterintuitive, right? If you want to feel more loved, you want to go first and make the other person feel more loved.” On Vulnerability “I’m not going to feel loved by you just if you’re admiring me. And so that’s where sort of we go wrong where like, it turns out that actually being a little vulnerable and showing more of our kind of real selves, not really real selves, it’s all real, you know, but you know, kind of showing more of our full selves, what’s beneath those walls. That’s actually what forges a connection. So that kind of, in fact, I think it’s called the vulnerability paradox. Like we think people won’t like us if we show a little bit vulnerability or weakness even, but actually people will like us more. Now, if it has to be done at the right pace and at the right time for the right person, right, you have to really read the room so you don’t just like dump your traumas or your weaknesses right away on another person. That’s not, that’s not going to work either.”

Today, I am joined by Robin Singh of Peepal Farm. An ex-hacker and ex-techie, Robin today runs Peepal Farm, an animal rescue and awareness organization that helps animals heal and be heard. He lives on-site in a mud house, grows his own food and brews and sells Kombucha. His bumpy career start in 1997-hacking Internet accounts and selling bootleg CDs-had landed surprisingly smoothly, when a misspelled e-mail landed him a job in the US in 2003. That same year, he started a technology service that helped tens of thousands independent artists sell their digital goods directly to consumers. In 2010, with all the checkboxes checked on the societal template, he had a crisis of meaning of sorts, and he came back to India to try and be happy perpetually. It was his pursuit of happiness that put him on the path to purpose. It was eventually on that path where he stumbled upon happiness after having given up on it.The Happiness Happens ebook and paperback are available for purchase now, but, if you love a beautiful hardcover like I do, that will be available here in the U.S. on May 19, 2026. Ifelt led to go through this book with you because we live in a world todayfilled with chaos, confusion, and division. It is a world filled withtremendous hurt, pain, and suffering—filled with wars and rumors of wars. OnlyGod knows what's going to come next. But my friend, in the midst of all that, the believer in Jesus Christ is promised the joy of Jesus Christ. In Gospel ofJohn 15:11, Jesus Himself said this to His disciples: “These things I havespoken to you, that My joy may remain in you, and that your joy may be full.” Todaywe find that people are consumed with a passionate pursuit of happiness.Everywhere you turn there are self-help books, motivational speakers, podcasts, influencers, and advice columns that promise the secret to happiness. Peopleare constantly searching for something that will finally make them feelsatisfied. Many believe happiness can be found in a better job, a better house,a better relationship, or sometimes even a better church. But when those thingsfail to bring happiness, they simply move on to the next thing. Life becomes aconstant search for something that always seems just out of reach. Eventually, many people begin to feel the way Solomon felt when he wrote in the book of Ecclesiastesthousands of years ago. After literally trying almost everything imaginable tobring pleasure and happiness into one's life, he wrote: “Vanity of vanities. All is vanity and vexation of spirit.” In other words, it's all empty. Nomatter what you might gain in this world, if you do not have a relationshipwith God through Jesus Christ, it will still be empty. Jesusnot only promised joy—He prayed that His disciples would experience the veryjoy that He Himself experienced. In John 17:13 Jesus prayed: “But now I cometo You, and these things I speak in the world, that they may have My joyfulfilled in themselves”. God wants us to experience that kind of joy. TheBible speaks about something far deeper and more lasting than happiness. Thisis what the Bible calls joy. Happiness is based on circumstances. When thingsgo well, we feel happy. But when things go poorly, that happiness quicklydisappears. Biblical joy is very different. Ilike what John wrote not only in the Gospel of John, but also in the epistle of1 John 1:3-4: “That which we have seen and heard we declare to you, that youalso may have fellowship with us; and truly our fellowship is with the Fatherand with His Son Jesus Christ. And these things we write to you that your joymay be full”. God wants us to experience that kind of fullness in life—adeep satisfaction that I am complete! I have found the true meaning of lifethat Jesus came to give us. In John 10:10 Jesus said: “The thief does notcome except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they mayhave life, and that they may have it more abundantly.” Itseems to me that we are living in a time when, every time I turn around, I hearof someone else committing suicide—taking their own life. They come to a placeof hopelessness. No happiness. No joy. They begin to wonder if life is evenworth living. So they take what they think is the ultimate way out—suicide. Myfriend, that is not the answer. The answer is finding this joy in Jesus Christ. Philippianshas often been called the epistle of joy. In fact, the words joy and rejoiceappear about sixteen times in these four short chapters. The entire letter isfilled with encouragement, gratitude, hope, and rejoicing. So over the nextseveral days, we're going to begin with an introduction to the book. Then wewill start a verse-by-verse study through this letter over the next severalmonths. I pray that you will join me on this journey. My prayer is that youwill discover that deep joy in Jesus Christ—the kind of joy that only God cangive—as you begin to practice the truths we will learn together from the bookof Philippians. I'm looking forward to this journey with you.

In Much Ado About Nothing, Shakespeare beckons women to “sigh no more” over deceitful men but instead to give themselves over to blithe and bonny (i.e. Happiness and Cheer). Amidst the countless sighs of our lives, is that what Jesus calls us to—sigh no more, just be happier? In this message we look at two specific sighs of Jesus and how they point us to a deeper, stronger, more enduring, and more satisfying brand of blithe and bonny than Shakespeare offers!
