Why do so many "nice guys" struggle with confidence, boundaries, and resentment? Because they've been taught that anger is dangerous, shameful, or weak — and they've been suppressing it for years. In this episode, I break down why repressing anger doesn't make you a better man — it makes you resentful, anxious, depressed, and, eventually… explosive. You'll learn how repressed anger creates passive-aggressive behavior, self-loathing, and even destructive outbursts. More importantly, I'll show you how to express anger healthily — without hurting people, and without losing control. Anger isn't the problem. It's power. It's fuel. It's the emotional fire that helps you stand up for yourself, set boundaries, and live with courage. And if you've been people-pleasing your whole life, learning to express anger is one of the most powerful transformations you'll ever experience. ⚠️ If you feel like you're stuck, emotionally numb, or constantly walking on eggshells, this episode will give you a way out.

Most of us hate conflict. We avoid it, tiptoe around it, and convince ourselves we're just “keeping the peace.” But what if avoiding conflict is actually costing us more than we realise...in our relationships, our work, and even our mental health? In this episode, I sit down with human behaviour expert and leadership coach Sacha Koffman to unpack why we avoid difficult conversations, how unresolved tension builds into resentment, and what we can do to handle conflict in a way that's honest, healthy, and empowering.TOPICS:Why we avoid conflictHealthy vs unhealthy conflictHow to give and receive feedback effectivelyMORE FROM NICK:Book a FREE call here to learn about the Move Your Mind Program: https://tinyurl.com/yc3zmu35Find all links here: https://nickbracks.start.page/Sign up to the website: nickbracks.comConnect with Nick on Instagram, Twitter & LinkedInMORE FROM SACHA: https://www.linkedin.com/in/sachakoffman Hosted on Acast. Are you obsessively checking your portfolio—or avoiding it entirely? What's the right approach to managing your money post-exit? In this Mini-Wise episode, Sam Parr breaks down how three ultra-wealthy entrepreneurs—Chuck (net worth: hundreds of millions), Travis (net worth: $50M), and Anne Mahlum (net worth: $100M+)—handle the mental rollercoaster of market fluctuations. Each shares their unique strategy, from completely logging off to obsessively staying informed, and how these choices impact their peace of mind and financial outcomes. Chuck sold his company for $2.5 billion but realized his daily portfolio check-ins were ruining his mood, so he outsourced entirely. Travis stopped compulsively tracking his investments and focused on growing his next business instead. Meanwhile, Anne Mahlum embraces daily oversight, crediting her disciplined research and comfort with market dips as key to her 20%+ portfolio growth. In this episode: The emotional toll of tracking massive portfolios. Why "logging off" works for some investors—but not all. Anne Mahlum's take on how staying informed helps her make bigger, smarter bets. Learn how to match your investing strategy with your personality—and find the tools and habits that bring you both peace and success. My intentional questions: "How is this working in my favor?" and "What good can come from this?" Have you ever thought about the amount of times in a day you ask yourself questions? Have you ever considered that the answers to the questions you ask yourself are the reason you feel a certain way or do a certain thing? They are as important as your thoughts in the scheme of how you feel day to day. So the questions like "What is WRONG with me?" or "Why do I keep doing that?" Those questions get answered by your mind and the answers are not moving us forward. I was hit with this reality this week. Check out Episode 517 on how to be aware of these subtle questions and what to do about them! I love you guys!
There is something called the nice girl syndrome which is an idea and expectation that you have to be nice to be loved and accepted. It leaves the mark of not feeling good enough. Being pleasant, agreeable, and accommodating doesn't mean that you have to make yourself less than someone else. “Becoming and remaining a nice girl, is a kind of malnutrition to the soul of a woman.” -Asia Suler What happens to you when you're always put last on your own list or lucky if you even make your own list? In this episode Lisa is channeling all of her badass energy into exposing how you can be nice and prioritize yourself and communicate your needs. You don't have to be afraid of speaking up and worried about being rejected or thought less than by the right people in your life. Do a gut check with yourself on which one of these myths hit the hardest and come up with a plan to restore your power and balance where there is none. Coming up on the Men at the Movies podcast, we continue our conversation on the Godfather. When we want to take control, what we're saying we want to take the place of God in our lives. We think that freedom is the ability to do whatever we want, but then we find ourselves slaves to our feelings and our desires. When we turn to God, and submit to him, we actually find a greater freedom than we ever thought possible. Join us as we discover God's truth in this movie Questions What decisions have shaped your life? Where do you feel like God is the one pulling the strings, and maybe hasn't done a good job?
