It's time to turn to the audience! This time, we are the ones getting injured. Justin and Jed discuss how they both recently were injured by seemingly low-risk tasks and what that means for the profession of health and safety.
Injuries are a very real part of our professional practice in occupational health and safety. There are tied to injuries traditional risk categories that help to sort the severity and understanding of those injuries. Justin and Jed believe those traditional risk categories, especially when related to injuries, fall short of gaining a better understanding of risk. Tune in to understand why potential when aimed at injuries helps us to further characterize and manage risk.

However, is all leadership involvement with health and safety good and profitable? Justin and Jed mine the successes and pitfalls of how leaders interact with the EHS function. Spoiler alert, (the right) leadership involvement does equate to a safer program!

Are we just as safe (or not) at home as we are at work? Does it matter how safe we are at home? Can I really impact work safety with home safety? Let's chat on the differences (and similarities) of being safe at home and work. You may be able to impact more than you think! Oh, and for all the health and safety professionals out there, jury's out! We know you do silly things too. We may even have a few stories about that on this episode...
