Donald Trump's ludicrous tariff policy has become a defining feature of his second term, imposing costs on American businesses and consumers while raising serious questions about the limits of presidential power. His escalating trade dispute with Canada, which has chosen to resist rather than submit to American pressure, highlights both the economic and constitutional consequences of his approach. With courts challenging the legality of his tariffs, Congress and the judiciary now face a crucial test of whether they will enforce constitutional limits and prevent the president from using trade policy to punish American workers and consumers. Nobody knows the inside story of why CIA Director John Ratcliffe was in Moscow Tuesday but while he was, 5 "Doomsday Planes" were in they sky over America including one that spend all day flying by KC. What is going on? Dolly Parton was truly loved by millions both young and old and from every possible background. She was a singer, actor, philanthropist and the person that just made everyone feel great. What an amazing life. We have a clip of her on the Tonight Show w/Johnny Carson that displayed every one of her traits all at one time. We've got better new names for Lake Ontario than Lake America. Mayor Q says he stands with Canada now, not with the USA as politics matter more than country. In sports, Patrick Mahomes is running the scout team 18 days before the first game of the season. 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan draws the short straw and has to talk about his owner Jed York getting popped in a prostitution sting. Charles Barkley blasts the WNBA for it's "awful year." In DC, the Redskins are making a comeback and we support it fully. And the Royals have now won 9 in a row.
What if the darkest chapter of your past is actually where God is preparing your greatest blessing? In 1 Kings Chapter 2, Solomon secures the throne, Bathsheba is elevated to the throne beside him, and God's promises begin unfolding through the Davidic dynasty. Ari Abramowitz and Jeremy Gimpel explore how Solomon establishes his kingdom by confronting threats, honoring Bathsheba, fulfilling ancient prophecy, and closing the unfinished accounts of David's reign. At the heart of the chapter is a powerful message: God doesn't erase our broken past, He can redeem it. In this chapter: -Adonijah reaches for the crown again through a seemingly innocent request for Avishag. -Solomon sees through the deception and decisively secures the throne. -Bathsheba is honored as Solomon establishes the role of the Gevirah—the queen mother. -An ancient prophecy is fulfilled as Evyatar is removed from the priesthood. -The kingdom is established as Solomon closes the remaining accounts of David's reign and advances the Davidic dynasty.

Empowered Relationship Podcast: Your Relationship Resource And Guide
Broken trust in a relationship can feel like an earthquake, shattering the very foundation you once believed was unshakable. The pain, confusion, and sense of being lost can leave couples wondering if true intimacy is even possible after betrayal. Many couples long for closeness but find themselves stuck, not knowing how to rebuild what was lost or where to even begin. When wounds run deep, is it ever possible to truly reconnect and create real, lasting intimacy? In this episode, listeners will discover a step-by-step approach designed to guide couples through the difficult process of healing after a rupture. By exploring practical strategies for restoring honesty, safety, and trust, this conversation offers a clear roadmap toward deeper vulnerability and stronger connection. Whether you're mending after betrayal or simply striving for deeper intimacy, you'll find actionable guidance and hope for creating a secure, thriving partnership. Matthew and Joanna Raabsmith are trained relationship specialists, speakers, and authors of the book Building True Intimacy: Creating a Connection that Stands the Test of Time. They have over 20 years of combined experience in counseling, coaching, and guiding couples toward healing and transformation. Currently, they co-lead The Raabsmith Team, where their mission is to help couples navigate the complexities of relational challenges, particularly in the aftermath of sexual addiction and betrayal trauma. Episode Highlights 05:19 Discovering the path to repair and the intimacy pyramid. 11:55 Addressing underlying issues and readiness for change. 15:04 How pain motivates the healing process. 18:53 The role of individual healing before rebuilding relationship dynamics. 21:33 Boundaries and healthy differentiation in couples work. 24:40 Using structure and process to overcome relational challenges. 26:25 Starting with honesty and rebuilding safety. 29:23 Building responsibility and restoring trust. 32:51 Creating a shared narrative for healing. 36:03 Reconnecting through trust and body awareness. 40:52 Becoming more vulnerable to deepen connection. 43:54 Healing together through shared grief. 45:46 Applying the intimacy framework to everyday relationships. Your Checklist of Actions to Take Restore Honesty: Begin with complete openness and transparency about past actions and their impacts—commit to sharing the full truth with your partner. Individual Healing: Each partner should focus on their own emotional healing, whether recovering from betrayal or its effects, ideally through therapy or support groups. Build Safety: Consistently demonstrate trustworthy behaviors over time, such as attending therapy, setting boundaries, and keeping commitments, to re-establish a sense of safety. Validate and Express Pain: The betrayed partner should openly share their emotional impacts and pain, while the betraying partner listens and acknowledges them without defensiveness. Address Underlying Issues: Look beyond stopping the hurtful behavior by addressing the deeper causes—like trauma or unhealthy coping strategies—on an individual level. Develop a Shared Narrative: Together, reflect on and discuss your relationship story, acknowledging how each person experienced the rupture and making room for both perspectives. Practice Relational Repairs: When trust is rebuilt, work as a team to create restorative changes, such as shifting household roles or reprioritizing family over work, to demonstrate lasting change. Move Toward Vulnerability: Once trust grows, lean into emotional vulnerability together—share grief, hope, and joy as a couple, allowing greater intimacy and secure connection to develop. ‘If there were a university delivering degrees in strategic malpractice, Donald Trump would without a doubt graduate summa cum laude.'On today's episode of Iran: the Latest, Roland Oliphant gets a damning assessment of the US-Iran war from one of America's most seasoned Middle East diplomats, Aaron David Miller. A former State Department analyst and negotiator across six Republican and Democratic administrations and now a senior fellow at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, Miller delivers a blunt verdict on Washington's strategic failures. As the Middle East conflict hits the six-month mark and the Strait of Hormuz remains officially closed, he explains why he can see no clear exit options for Trump. Despite Washington unleashing an "economic D-Day" and the "toughest sanctions in history," Tehran shows no sign of backing down. Plus, why Secretary of State Marco Rubio is MIA and how a “serious retrenchment” of US forces in the Gulf is likely, amid news that some bases may not be fully rebuilt after the war. He Made the NFL. He Always Saved His Dad a Seat in the Stands Every game Corey Parchman played, in any city, he got to the stadium early and found a seat in the stands. That's where his father was sitting, in his mind. His dad died of a heart attack at thirty nine, when Corey was ten. Corey has spent his career proving he can figure things out alone: five seasons in the NFL after going undrafted, a real estate portfolio he built by never over-leveraging, and now a business acquisition company built to buy small-town companies from retiring owners before they disappear. This conversation is about what all of that actually resolves, and what it doesn't. What was covered: Why "you don't get free lunch, I'll pay for it" became the rule Corey has run his whole life on What his father taught him about the difference between a coach who's given up and one who hasn't Why Corey saved his father a seat in the stands at every game he played, in every city Why six million small businesses may close by 2032 because their retiring owners have no one to hand them to What a $250,000 piece of land taught Corey about due diligence that no class could Why most business owners believe their company is worth far more than a bank ever will About Corey Parchman: Corey Parchman is a former NFL wide receiver, real estate developer, and the founder and CEO of CorePar Holdings, an Indianapolis-based buy-and-build platform that acquires essential B2B service businesses across Indiana. Corey has built businesses from scratch — including a real estate development firm and an all-boys preschool — so when he says buying an existing business beats starting one, he's speaking from experience on both sides. He's the author of Already Built, a practical guide to business acquisition for the next generation of entrepreneurs, and he's on a mission to make buying a business the most accessible wealth-building strategy in America — especially for those who've never been told this path exists. While Lindsay Clancy stands trial for killing her three children, TikTok creators are accusing her ex-husband Patrick of being the real killer. They're comparing him to Chris Watts. They're claiming Lindsay didn't jump from the second-floor window — he pushed her. Lindsay's own defense attorney has admitted in open court that she killed the children and is arguing she was not criminally responsible. The conspiracy theories have escalated during the trial. Creators are analyzing Patrick's remarriage to Dr. Rachel Danis, scrutinizing his courtroom demeanor, and constructing narratives that directly contradict the evidence presented before the jury. Patrick is a Microsoft employee living in New York. He testified as the prosecution's first witness and described finding his children after returning from running errands.Defense attorney and former prosecutor Eric Faddis examines the legal question at the center of the social media circus: can Patrick do anything about creators accusing him of murder to audiences of millions? Where the line between opinion and defamation falls. What it means that Patrick likely isn't a traditional public figure. Whether the Alex Jones and Sandy Hook precedent applies. And the practical challenge of filing defamation lawsuits against anonymous creators across multiple jurisdictions with no guarantee of collecting damages.Listen Anywhere You Get Podcasts: https://pod.link/1655749292Want to comment and watch this podcast as a video? Paul knew what it was to be harmed by one person and abandoned by people he trusted. He did not pretend the hurt was small. He named what happened, left justice with God, kept a wise boundary, and prayed for those who failed to stand beside him. In Week 2 of Getting Over It, Rich walks through Paul's response in 2 Timothy 4 and the assurance underneath it: “The Lord stood with me and gave me strength.” This is an honest conversation about resentment, prayer, boundaries, and learning to trust God's presence when people have let us down. It's Thursday, August 6th, A.D. 2026. This is The Worldview in 5 Minutes heard on 140 radio stations and at www.TheWorldview.com. I'm Adam McManus. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Jonathan Clark and Adam McManus Algerian, African church going underground The Protestant church in Algeria is going underground. The Muslim-majority country is located in North Africa. Authorities there have shut down nearly all Evangelical churches over the past decade. Many Christians now meet secretly in homes. One Algerian pastor told Morning Star News, “The situation is undeniably difficult because we are deprived of fellowship. But God's work must not stop. We desperately lack Bibles and Christian books, as customs officials systematically confiscate them even when friends bring them from the West.” Algeria is ranked 20th on the Open Doors' World Watch List of the worst countries for the persecution of Christians. British soldiers are asking about Christ Faith is increasing in the British military. Army chaplains report more recruits are asking about Christianity, attending services, and requesting baptism. Dr. Martin Gliniecki is the executive director of the Soldiers' and Aviators' Scripture Readers Association. He told Christian Today, “We have prayed for revival in our nation for many years now and … revival in our Armed Forces too. Something is happening. While our Armed Forces are the smallest in modern history, the harvest remains plentiful.” In Luke 10:2, Jesus said, “The harvest truly is great, but the laborers are few. Therefore, pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest.” British millionaire stands up for persecuted street preachers A British millionaire is standing up for persecuted street preachers. Businessman Samuel Leeds has pledged to fund the legal representation of Christian street preachers who are targeted by police. He told Truth Times, “We see Christians being persecuted all over the world, but seeing it happen in Great Britain — seeing the disdain, the hatred, and now the oppression of Christian voices — really bothers me. … Where Christians are being unfairly targeted simply for preaching their faith, I'm prepared to put my money behind defending them.” Amen! Democrat primary voters elect another leftist The left wing of the Democratic Party continues to win election primaries. Dr. Abdul El-Sayed, whose parents came to America from Egypt, won the Democrat primary for U.S. Senate in Michigan on Tuesday. The 41-year-old is an epidemiologist who received his Doctor of Medicine from Columbia University, served as director of the Department of Health, Human, and Veterans Services of Wayne County, Michigan, from 2023 to 2025, and was a candidate in the 2018 Michigan gubernatorial election. EL-SAYED: “What a race! You know, in the words of Muhammad Ali, we shook up the world!” Endorsed by socialist Senator Bernie Sanders of Vermont, among other leftists, he narrowly defeated Congresswoman Haley Stevens, a pro-Israel moderate Democrat. Remarkably, super PACs, political action committees, spent $60 million on the race, supporting Stevens 9-1. El-Sayed champions the abolition of the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement known as ICE, ending most U.S. military aid to Israel, and wants a universal, government-funded health insurance program that covers everyone. If you take the time to watch his 19-minute victory speech, which we have linked in our transcript at www.TheWorldview.com, you will notice he is an articulate spokesman for his cause. EL-SAYED: “So, whether you voted for me or voted for my opponent or didn't vote at all, we're inviting you to that movement to get money out of politics, so we can put money back in pockets, and finally guarantee the promise of health care through Medicare for All.” If elected in November, Abdul El-Sayed would be the first Muslim in the Senate. Democrats are moving left The views of Democrats are shifting further to the left. A new Reuters/Ipsos poll found 71 percent of Democrats label themselves as liberal. That's up from 55 percent in 2012. Most liberal Democrats identify certain positions as essential to being a liberal. These include increasing taxes on corporations and billionaires, expanding access to abortion, and government provided healthcare coverage. In Romans 13:4, the Apostle Paul identified different priorities for government: “For [a ruler] is God's minister to you for good. But if you do evil, be afraid; for he does not bear the sword in vain; for he is God's minister, an avenger to execute wrath on him who practices evil.” Amazon hits $3 trillion in market value Amazon became the fifth company to reach $3 trillion dollars in market value on Monday. The tech company saw growth in its cloud-computing services as demand for Artificial Intelligence surges. Apple, Microsoft, Alphabet, and Nvidia are the other companies that have reached a market value of $3 trillion dollars in the past. Doctors successfully operated on baby in the womb And finally, doctors successfully operated on a baby while still in the womb. Baby Theo was diagnosed with a severe intestinal defect in the womb. Indeed, his intestines were completely outside his body. Such cases can require many surgeries after birth, and babies do not always survive. Parents Maisie Savage and Josh French live in London. They were referred to a clinical trial at Texas Children's Hospital. At 26 weeks of pregnancy, surgeons conducted the groundbreaking operation. It's the first surgery of its kind in the U.S. Praise God! Baby Theo was born full-term in February. Josh recently told Good Morning America that Theo is thriving. Listen. JOSH: “He's doing all the things that a normal, healthy baby should be doing. He's shouting. He's screaming. He blows raspberries. It's just fantastic having him home.” Psalm 127:3 says, “Children are a heritage from the Lord, offspring a reward from Him." We've not spent a lot of time talking about the Protect College Sports Act on the podcast because to this point it was a bunch of hot air from politicians in an election year. That all changed in the last 48 hours. The Big Ten and SEC are on board now, with some serious changes. Missouri Senator Eric Schmitt is right in the middle of all of it and he is fired up the Senate will get something done this week that saves college sports from self destruction.
