Most people think building a personal brand is about better content, sharper hooks, or posting more consistently. That's part of it - but it's not the reason some brands last while others fade the second the algorithm changes. In this episode of The Expert Edge, I break down what actually creates a personal brand that compounds over time - especially in a world where AI can generate content, copy, and strategies in seconds. You'll hear why presence beats polish, why clarity beats creativity, and why trust is the real currency behind every enduring brand. Inside this episode, I unpack: Why being known for one clear thing matters more than doing everything well How consistency and care create a moat around your business The overlooked reason visibility (yes, volume) still matters even when your message is strong This isn't an episode about chasing trends or gaming platforms. It's about building something that still works five, ten, even twenty years from now. If you want clients who trust you before they ever speak to you and a brand that grows even when you're not pushing - this conversation will change how you think about personal branding forever. https://teachhoops.com/ Is the classic three-man weave actually making your players better—or just burning practice time? Many coaches trust tradition to build teamwork, but Steve Collins and Bill Flitter, basketball vets with decades of experience, challenge this old-school drill head-on and ask: is the 3-man weave still relevant? Are your drills truly game-like, or just comfortable routines? You'll learn: Why the 3/5-man weave might be overrated Easy ways to add real-game value to practice Smarter drills to maximize limited gym time More gems are inside this episode! Let's change the game together! If you enjoyed this episode, please leave us a 5-star review.

If a four-year-old can price a canvas, track costs, and ship a painting, what else might kids be capable of when we give them the chance? We sit down with Leah Ellis, founder of the Society of Child Entrepreneurs, to explore how children can turn curiosity into real businesses that teach math, money, and leadership—without piling hours onto a parent's schedule. Leah's story begins with a pandemic pivot and a bold yes to her daughter Melody's idea, and unfolds into a practical framework any family can use.We walk through what a child-run business looks like at different ages: choosing a product or service that solves a real problem, setting prices with simple cost math, testing sales channels from fairs to Etsy, and learning customer service through experience. The conversation gets honest about the hard part—letting kids fail. From a slow sales day on a tenth birthday to a hasty impulse purchase on Black Friday, these moments become powerful lessons in resilience, commitments, and buyer's remorse. The wins are just as vivid: a neighborhood trash-can service funding big goals, the pride of buying a coveted item with earned money, and the joy of giving to someone in need.Leah shares time-saving strategies for parents and systems that hand ownership to kids, like using free bookkeeping tools such as Wave to manage invoices, payments, and inventory. We also map out options for families without fairs or dense neighborhoods: host your own children's business market, ask schools or co-ops for a market day, or launch a simple online shop for makers over 13. Throughout, we focus on the values that keep money healthy—spend, save, and give—so kids see money as a tool for building, not a trophy to hoard. We close with how the Society of Child Entrepreneurs supports families with a 36-week curriculum, children's books (Sparks to Stars on Amazon), quarterly fairs, and a junior board that helps steer programs.Ready to raise confident problem-solvers who can speak up, serve others, and build something real? If you've lived your life waiting for impact — waiting for the next crisis, the next emotional explosion, the next let-down, the next shoe to drop — this episode is for you. Because some people don't struggle with motivation or discipline. Some people struggle with a nervous system that never turns off. In this episode, we're breaking down the neuroscience of chronic activation — why your body stays braced even when your mind knows you're safe — and how survival mode becomes a personality, a habit, an identity. We'll explore: ◼ why your nervous system can't relax, even during calm ◼ how early life conditions shaped your internal alarm system ◼ what hypervigilance, catastrophizing, and overthinking really are ◼ why rest feels dangerous instead of peaceful ◼ how perfectionism, people-pleasing, and control form as protection ◼ the brain chemicals behind anxiety and constant scanning ◼ how to begin retraining your body to feel safe — slowly and gently ◼ body-first tools to regulate instead of mentally wrestle with panic ◼ how to prepare for the new year without pressure or urgency This isn't another "just breathe more" episode. This is nervous system literacy. This is survival recognition. This is learning how to step out of emergency mode one micro-step at a time. If you're exhausted by always being "on," this episode will help you name it, understand it, and finally begin reversing it. Because you don't need to be a new you in January. You need a nervous system that isn't fighting for its life. Become A Patreon: www.patreon.com/thepositivityxperience Get The Journals! www.thepositivityxperience.com

Japan Stands Up for Taiwan While Canada Demurs: Colleagues Charles Burton and Gordon Chang report that Japanese Prime Minister Takaichi recently declared that a Chinese invasion of Taiwan would be a "survival threatening situation" for Japan, authorizing the mobilization of self-defense forces; this statement has triggered a massive propaganda campaign from Beijing demanding a retraction, as a successful invasion of Taiwan would likely require violating Japanese sovereignty, while in contrast Canada remains reluctant to support Tokyo or criticize Beijing, hoping to secure trade benefits and diversify exports away from the U.S., leaving Japan isolated by its allies. 1937 SHANGHAI
Double Tap Episode 439 This episode of Double Tap is brought to you by: Gideon Optics, Primary Arms, Night Fision, Blue Alpha, Bowers Group, and Second Call Defense Welcome to Double Tap, episode 439! Your hosts tonight are Jeremy Pozderac, Jon Patton and me Shawn Herrin, welcome to the show! Jon Patton - https://theguncollective.com/ Dear WLS Hunter M - Wanting to upgrade my Ender 3 Pro to a Bambu X1C, but I am hesitant to buy one if there is a possibility of blocking 2A prints. I have seen where some people suggest never connecting it to the internet and only printing off of SD cards but it seems like you could be missing out on a ton of features. Is it worth it to connect it to the internet or play it safe and only use it offline? If it was connected and they pushed out anti-gun restrictions how could you get the printer back to printing freedom? Conner R - What are your go to snacks or meals when hiking, camping, hunting, or rucking? What are you favorite meals in general? Thanks!l Uvuana Suqit - Why does every host on the Firearms Radio Network seem to have an astigmatism? And a bunch of other media people in the firearms industry in general. I hear constantly about not being able to use red dots because of astigmatism, making the dot not a perfect circle, and some other shape. Just want to say that the projection on the glass for red dots won't be a perfect circle with the way they are designed/manufactured, and the “dot” has a weird shape because it is projecting a bunch of tiny dots to a general area on the glass to make up the dot. It does not create a perfect circle. And if you focus on the “dot,” then you will see “imperfection” vs looking at the target where the “imperfection” will be nonexistent, with the general dot shape being over the target. I'm just curious if everyone is mistaking this inherent design of the red dot projection for something that is wrong with their eyes. And when every host says they have an astigmatism, it just seems odd. Karl F - The conflict in Ukraine has demonstrated the usefulness of small drones when it comes to both reconnaissance and delivery of payloads. This usefulness could definitely extend beyond combat to a SHTF scenario. Have any of you considered adding a drone to your gear collection?#blamecanada Oopsie Daisy - If you wanted to escape thermal imaging, do you think throwing a mylar poncho over the wool Five Star Alterations poncho would have a greater effect on reducing your thermal signature? For no one in particular, I'm interested to hear all of your opinions on this. Nate B - How far back is too far back for barrel porting? I understand you'd like the port as far forward as possible as that is where it's most beneficial (better tilt point) but I've seen ported Glocks and other pistols where they have multiple, tiny holes that seem to be fairly close to the chamber. Also ports > comps Anthony L - I wanted to ask what sites you use for the 3d print files. Thank you The winner of this week's swag pack is Oopsie Daisy!
