Story 1: Last night's sweeping Democratic victory wasn't a surprise, but it is still worth talking about. Support for New York socialist Zohran Mamdani isn't just a local trend anymore as it's spreading through the Democratic Party like wildfire. Will breaks down why this wave of socialism is resonating with voters, what's fueling it, and the defining choice America will soon face. Story 2: Host of ‘Making the Argument' and Virginia House Delegate Nick Freitas joins Will to unpack what Mamdani's rise really says about America. They dive into how education, culture, and decades of Democratic policies have alienated young men, while pulling young women further Left than ever before. Nick also explains why the GOP must evolve fast or risk becoming irrelevant to the next generation. Story 3: Comedian and Host of ‘The Boyscast' & ‘Low Value Mail' Danny Polishchuk sits down with Will to share his concerns about Mamdani's victory, explaining where the quaint, simple life image of communist countries portrayed in media differs from reality. Danny and Will also discuss whether Mamdani's victory is genuine embrace of socialism or simply a middle finger to President Trump. In what may be the finest hour to date of his two presidencies, Donald Trump has pledged to counter the dire threat to civilization inherent in history's greatest crime against humanity: the persecution of over 380 million Christians worldwide. The overwhelming majority of the acts of heavy persecution to which those followers of Jesus are subjected occur at the hands of adherents to Islam's totalitarian sharia code. In two recent Truth Social posts, Mr. Trump focused on one of the most egregious and ongoing examples of a place where such barbarity is allowed to occur with impunity: Africa's Nigeria. To his credit, President Trump has committed to hold accountable and punish the Nigerian government – which has long tolerated, and even aided and abetted, such persecution – including by U.S. military attacks on the perpetrators. Praise God! This is Frank Gaffney!

This episode shines a light on Temperance—the often-overlooked Stoic virtue that quietly anchors all the rest.Far from being dull restraint, Temperance is freedom: the ability to enjoy life without being ruled by appetite or impulse. It's the steady discipline that transforms courage into integrity, justice into fairness, and wisdom into clarity. In a culture that celebrates excess, this virtue reminds us that moderation is not denial but mastery—the calm art of keeping life in balance so that joy, reason, and harmony can flourish together.

Send us a textThe whistle isn't the hard part. It's the noise around it—sidelines boiling over, subtle bias that undermines authority, and those early games where one bad interaction can end a career before it starts. We sit down with rising official Mia Clark to talk about staying in the game, building real confidence, and why supporting women on the whistle changes everything.Mia traces her path from a 14-year-old assistant learning the lines in the rain to assignments in the USLW and high school state playoffs. She shares the moments that almost pushed her out, the mentors who kept her grounded, and a simple, firm script that turns chaos into clarity: address the negative behavior, set boundaries and enforce consequences. Along the way, we cover practical tools for young refs—rehearsed language for dissent and when to demand crowd management or terminate a match. Mia's stories reveal how small choices by assistants, coaches, and athletic directors can empower or erode a center's authority. We also make the case for refereeing as a flexible, high-value job for students that builds decision-making, conflict resolution, and composure under pressure. And we spotlight why seeing women command a match matters for every player, parent, and future official. If you care about better soccer, safer games, and keeping good people on the field, this conversation is a blueprint. Listen, share with your crew, and help change the culture one match at a time. Subscribe, leave a review, and tell us: what's your go-to line for handling dissent?Support the show

When should Buddhist communities take public stands on issues that could be seen as political? If politics is about how we make decisions in groups (local communities, towns, cities, states, nations), are Sanghas really be free from politics when they are embedded in these larger groups? Silence can function as tacit approval, so is maintaining neutrality in keeping with our Buddhist values? On the other hand, there are many good reasons for Sanghas to avoid bringing discussions of politics in their places of practice, and I discuss them.
