Feeling unseen or misunderstood can be one of the deepest human pains. This episode reveals how even Jesus was misunderstood from birth and why that reality reframes our need to be known.Through Scripture we discover that forgetting who we are always begins with forgetting who He is.If you've ever wondered why your faith has to survive without understanding, this message is for you.

Most Christians aren’t being persecuted with violence, they’re being persecuted with people. Unfriended. Misunderstood. Labeled. Screenshot. Canceled. In this episode, Jon Ellis breaks down what Jesus actually said about rejection and why following Him will cost you socially, but will never cost you your identity. You’ll learn why rejection is often revelation, how to stand strong when people walk away, and how the Holy Spirit empowers you to stay faithful in a culture obsessed with approval. This teaching is bold, pastoral, and prophetic, exactly what Gen Z and Millennials need to navigate the pressure of modern-day cancel culture. If you feel alone, overlooked, or unfollowed because of your faith… this episode will give you courage, clarity, and the conviction to stand with Jesus, even when it seems like you stand alone. Ever felt unfollowed, misunderstood, or quietly excluded because you chose to stand on Scripture? You’re not crazy, and you’re not alone. Jesus warned His followers that cultural rejection would come, and He taught us how to stand firm when the pressure hits. In this bold and pastoral episode, Jon Ellis equips you with clarity, courage, and practical steps to stay faithful when approval fades. If you’re ready to rise above cancel culture and live Uncommon, this episode will strengthen your resolve.

I'm so glad you're here for this conversation, because today we're diving into a topic that is personally very close to home for me and I'm guessing many of you: the intersection of ADHD, womanhood, and self-love. My guest today, Kristen Baird-Goldman, is a licensed mental health therapist who specializes in working with neurodivergent women, especially those over 40. She brings such clarity and compassion to this whole messy thing of hormones, ADHD, and mental health. We talk about why so many women go undiagnosed until midlife, how perimenopause can amplify ADHD symptoms in ways that feel terrifying, what's actually happening in the brain and body during this time, and how we can advocate for ourselves in a medical system that still has a long way to go.I'm so relieved to see this topic finally getting more attention in the news, in research, and all over social media. The conversations are growing and the awareness is catching up! I'm so glad you're here today with me to be a part of it all - especially the men out there listening. Truly, I mean it. Your willingness to understand these experiences makes a real difference in the lives of your partners, friends, colleagues, and family members. Thanks for tuning in! Jeffrey Small expects the Fed's hawkish tone to continue and says “there's nothing to guarantee” we get a rate cut despite high odds in the market. He says Powell could be the “Christmas Grinch” for the third time in a row, bringing up that Fed announcements in the last few years hit December rallies. “I don't think a quarter point cut is going to do much for the markets anyway,” he adds. He thinks Nvidia (NVDA) is “grotesquely misunderstood,” arguing that it is a long-term AI utility, not a cyclical semiconductor company. He also calls Tesla (TSLA) the “biggest AI player I know.”======== Schwab Network ========Empowering every investor and trader, every market day.Options involve risks and are not suitable for all investors. Happy Feast of the Immaculate Conception! In this powerful teaching homily, Father Jonathan walks us through the mystery behind the words the angel Gabriel spoke to Mary: “Hail, full of grace.” (Luke 1:28) This phrase appears only once in the entire Bible — and it reveals who Mary is from the very moment of her conception: a dwelling worthy of Christ, overflowing with grace, and redeemed by the future sacrifice of Jesus Himself. Father explains: • Why Mary had to be free from sin • How Jesus' death on the cross was applied to Mary 47 years before it happened • Why the Mass is the same saving sacrifice of Calvary • How prevenient grace works • How the Immaculate Conception is completely connected to the Cross • Why there is no Jesus without Mary — and no Mary without the Cross This homily beautifully reveals the depth of our Catholic faith — a faith where God acts inside and outside of time, applying His saving grace across centuries for the salvation of all. Father also shares a touching reminder: Four years ago on this feast, the names of our parishioners were placed inside a locket around Our Lady's neck — consecrating our entire parish to her Immaculate Heart. May she continue to intercede for us, guide us, and lead us closer to her Son. #ImmaculateConception #CatholicTeaching #Mary #FullOfGrace #CatholicHomily #FrJonathan
Some truths arrive as whispers. Some arrive as wounds that teach. Some arrive as a reminder: you were never meant to fit… You were meant to be.In this intimate Q&A episode, I answer your questions on misunderstanding, boundaries, and creative resilience — pulling from the decades I've spent writing my way into my values, my voice, + mySELF.We explore how being misunderstood can become a kind of spiritual armor — not the hard kind, but the sacred kind that forms when you stand rooted in who you are, even when others can't comprehend you yet.I share stories from my 20s + 30s, the seasons where I had to choose between belonging to others or belonging to myself. Journaling became my sanctuary, my mirror, my extraction process — the place I met the real Roxanne. We go into boundary-setting with the people you love, why resentment is a poison, what it means to make a “true move,” + how to keep showing up for passions that feel heavy but holy. This episode is a love note to your inner compass — the one that always knows.TAKE THIS WITH YOU:Understanding your values is the foundation of every boundary you'll ever need.Being misunderstood often signals depth, integrity, + evolution.Boundaries are uncomfortable AND necessary — love doesn't cancel self-respect.When passion feels hard, alignment becomes your stamina.Journaling clears the fog so you can hear yourSELF again.⭐️YOUR SUPPORT MATTERS: Please: Subscribe + leave 5⭐️Star rating +review HEREEnjoy! xRxFIND ME ON:️INSTAGRAMSUBSTACKYOUTUBEXTHREADSFREE RESOURCES:

Eric talks with Gina, the co-founder of Happy Paws Haven, a Michigan-based animal rescue. Gina outlines her background and the rescue's mission, emphasizing their focus on long-term care for misunderstood animals that larger shelters might quickly deem unadoptable. She details the challenges of running a foster-based nonprofit, noting that she handles nearly all operational duties, including managing high veterinary costs which currently exceed $150,000 per year. The conversation also explores the rescue's expansive future vision to develop a 20-dog sanctuary and farm animal haven on recently acquired property, a plan that requires over $200,000 in fundraising to achieve state compliance. Ultimately, both women advocate for the importance of community volunteering, networking, and public education to address issues like neglect and overpopulation effectively. In this episode, we explore the in-between: the often misunderstood stage between pain relief and real, sustainable strength. This is the phase where people frequently get stuck, either pushing too hard too soon or relying on temporary fixes that never fully resolve the underlying issue. You'll learn why this space is essential, why it can feel confusing or uncomfortable, and how to move through it with clarity and confidence. We break down what actually needs to happen during this transition phase, how awareness shapes stability, and why easing effort often leads to deeper, more efficient strength gains. Whether you're recovering from pain, rebuilding your movement foundation, or learning how to load your system effectively, this episode sheds light on the principles that make progress not only possible, but lasting.

This week on Misunderstood, Khumo has the honour and privilege to sit down with Leigh Le Roux. In this episode, they unpack the power and the impact of art—more specifically, street art. They walk through Leigh's journey, the struggle through that journey, the barriers of gatekeeping, and the work to be accepted. Furthermore, we unpack how artists use digital media as a means of promoting their work but also potentially as an unselected judge that dictates what is deemed valuable and “real” art. Finally, we round up the discussion by speaking about the importance of collaboration that is formed on trust and not purely based on a transaction through authenticity.

In today's episode, I'm diving into the question: "What if anger isn't bad, it's just misunderstood?" Believe me, I used to be that person who felt guilty the instant anger showed up. Anger doesn't disappear just because we pretend it's not there. It builds, simmers, and eventually leaks out in ways we don't plan for. Anger is just information about how our bodies are feeling off, unsafe, or out of alignment (kind of like how our cattle show us when the pressure isn't right).Ultimately, anger isn't "bad" or the enemy - it's a compass pointing us toward truth, alignment, and authenticity. When we listen to it, we gain clarity, stronger boundaries, deeper relationships, and a whole lot more connection! In this episode, I cover:What anger actually is + why it's valuable informationHow guilt and shame differ + why shame often shows up with angerWhat suppressed anger turns intoHow anger was modeled for us growing up + that shaped our avoidance of itWhy healthy anger supports boundaries, clarity & authenticitySimple tools to help you work with angerMake sure to hit subscribe/follow so you never miss an episode!Find the complete show notes here: https://terryndrieling.com/what-if-anger-isnt-bad Connect with Terryn:Follow on Instagram @terryn.drielingCheck out my websiteSend me an email at terryn@terryndrieling.comResources & Links:Join the waitlist for the Good Movement CollectiveGood Movement music by: Aaron EspePodcast produced by: Jill Carr Podcasting

Each person can establish the property as their own “dwelling unit” for the required days. But doing this can likely be an audit magnet.Q2 (Reverse Augusta with a family member's home)Question: If a family member owns a home, can a business owner use that home for a business purpose and structure it so they receive the rental income instead of the family member, essentially a “reverse Augusta”?Answer: Yes, a reverse Augusta structure is possible, but it must be for a legitimate, defensible business purpose. Most providers still don't recognize ARFID when it's right in front of them. In this episode, Dr. Marianne Miller unpacks why Avoidant/Restrictive Food Intake Disorder remains so misunderstood—and how that misunderstanding harms children and adults who live with it. Dr. Marianne explains what ARFID really is, how it shows up across neurotypes, and why messages like “just try harder” damage safety, trust, and nervous system regulation. Through a neurodivergent-affirming lens, she explores how bias, pressure, and diet-culture thinking keep ARFID invisible and why it's time for providers to see the reality of this eating disorder. Why This Episode Matters For too long, ARFID has been dismissed as “picky eating.” This episode reframes ARFID as a real, body-based eating disorder rooted in sensory processing, fear, or trauma—not defiance or willpower. Dr. Marianne highlights the emotional and physiological impact of being told to “try harder,” and how that phrase erodes autonomy, increases shame, and dysregulates the body. When we understand ARFID as a nervous-system and safety-based challenge, our entire approach to care changes. Listening replaces forcing. Collaboration replaces control. Compassion replaces shame. Key Topics Covered What ARFID Really Is: Understanding sensory-based, fear-based, and low-interest eating patterns that have nothing to do with dieting or body image. Why Professionals Miss It: How traditional training and diet-culture frameworks erase ARFID from diagnosis and treatment. The Harm of “Try Harder” Messages: Exploring what happens when people are shamed or pressured to eat against their nervous system's limits. The Neurodivergent Lens: How autism, ADHD, and other forms of neurodivergence intersect with eating, safety, and sensory regulation. The Role of Bias: Why marginalized identities—fat, BIPOC, neurodivergent, or gender-diverse people—are more likely to be misunderstood or dismissed. What Support Looks Like: How neurodivergent-affirming, sensory-attuned, and autonomy-based care creates safety and possibility. Who This Episode Is For Therapists, dietitians, and physicians who want to understand ARFID beyond stereotypes. Parents who feel blamed or overwhelmed by their child's restricted eating. Adults who have lived with food fear or sensory eating struggles and never had language for it. Neurodivergent people who want their experiences around food to be seen, validated, and supported. Content Caution This episode includes discussion of eating behaviors, sensory distress, and medical dismissal related to ARFID. Please take care of yourself and listen in a way that feels safe for your body and nervous system. Intensity gets talked about a lot in the gym… but most people are using the word completely wrong. In strength and conditioning, intensity can mean different things depending on who you learned from, what sport you're in, and what your training goals actually are.So in this episode, I'm back in the studio with the Red Dot Fitness crew to clear it all up. We break down what intensity really means, how we define it inside our programming, and how you should apply it so you're training hard without training stupid. If you've ever looked at an intensity recommendation and weren't totally sure what it meant—or if you've been guessing your way through your sessions—this conversation is going to save you time, effort, and a whole lot of frustration.Enjoy the show!-5% OFF! Diogenes wasn't a Stoic… but without him, the Stoics don't exist. His life was so bold, so uncompromising, and so brutally honest that it reshaped the entire philosophical world the Stoics inherited. In today's episode, Ryan sits down with classicist Inger Kuin to unpack the wild and brilliant philosophy of Diogenes, the original cynic. Inger Kuin is a researcher, writer, and teacher focused on the intellectual history of ancient Greece and Rome. She is Associate Professor of Classics at the University of Virginia. Originally from The Netherlands, she publishes both in English and in Dutch. Be sure to pick up a copy of Inger's new book Diogenes: The Rebellious Life and Revolutionary Philosophy of the Original Cynic. Check out Inger's website: https://ingerkuin.com/
The Counter Momentum of Spin, with Dr. Franco Musio – It is driven by an “imperial” ambition to re-establish Russian primacy over the world and alter the post-Cold War European American security order. The Russia-Ukraine War is therefore conceptualized by Putin as one of ideology, not only territory, but principally gaining political control over Ukraine and an existential struggle for Russia's reintroduction to...
Novemner 18, 2025: Today's episode breaks down seven of the most important stories shaping the future of work. We explore why AI adoption is stalling inside organizations—and why companies are turning to internal influencers to drive real behavior change. We look at the surge in "ghost job" postings that are distorting the labor market and frustrating job seekers, and we explore the surprising history of the 40-hour workweek and whether it still makes sense in the age of AI. Next, we dive into brand-new data from Glassdoor's Worklife Trends 2026 report, which reveals rising distrust in leadership, declining career visibility, and how early-career workers are reshaping expectations. We also unpack a Guardian story showing that criticism of Gen Z is nothing new—it's a historical pattern that repeats in every era of disruption. We then examine why Big Tech companies are cutting jobs despite record profits and record AI investment, and we close with an Inc. story about an "AI error" that turned out to be human error—a reminder that the biggest risks of automation come from governance, not algorithms. If you want to understand the signals, trends, and shifts reshaping the future of work, this episode connects all the dots. Future-ready organizations are built, not hoped for. For years, we've been told that discipline means pushing harder, eating cleaner, and saying no to anything that doesn't fit the plan. But what if that version of discipline, the one rooted in restriction, guilt, and grind culture, is actually the reason you're burning out and losing motivation? In this episode, I'm breaking down what self-discipline really means and how to rebuild it in a way that feels supportive instead of punishing. You'll learn how to recognize when your discipline is coming from fear instead of alignment, how to reconnect with self-trust, and how to make consistency feel good again. Here's what you'll learn: How the fitness world turned discipline into grind culture The difference between fear-based and aligned discipline How to tell when your motivation is rooted in control instead of connection Simple mindset shifts to make discipline feel empowering Why rest, flexibility, and joy all belong in your fitness routine How to rebuild discipline around self-trust instead of perfection If you've been stuck in the all-or-nothing mindset, this episode will help you redefine discipline so it finally feels sustainable.
