    Cathy Lin is the Energy Manager and Stormwater Program Adminstrator for Arlington Public Schools. As the energy manager, she manages and directs various energy efficiency projects and oversees the district’s utility budget. Cathy promotes and advocates for renewable energy as part of the district’s comprehensive energy portfolio. She works with teachers and students on conservation projects, maintains APS Goes Green, the district’s online sustainability presence, and is the staff liaison and coordinator for the Superintendent’s Advisory Committee on Sustainability. Cathy is a board member of the Virginia Energy Purchasing Governmental Association (VEPGA). She is a Certified Energy Manager.

Park Guthrie is the co-founder of the Schools for Climate Action campaign, a non-partisan, grassroots, volunteer campaign with a mission to empower school boards to speak up for climate action in order to protect current and future students. Park has been a public school teacher in Northern California for 17 years. He is also the founder of Urban Tilth, a school and community garden non-profit in Richmond, California.

In the past two years, VCC has closed over $8 million in solar loans in Virginia. He has over 25 years in real estate lending, business management, and nonprofit leadership. Before joining VCC he served as the Executive Director of the Richmond Region Energy Alliance, an energy efficiency nonprofit focused on breaking down barriers to advance energy efficiency and solar energy in central Virginia.
