The Boston Celtics' first quarter against the Knicks offered a glimpse of a smooth performance, as the team jumped out to a 30-22 lead with great ball movement and pace. However, the game spiraled into an absolute nightmare in the second quarter. The Knicks dominated with a brutal 42-14 run, fueled by an 11-0 and a 17-0 burst. Boston struggled with turnovers and could not stop the Knicks from scoring 16 fast break points and grabbing 12 offensive rebounds in the first half. This collapse led to a massive 64-44 halftime deficit. Though the Celtics were unable to mount a full comeback, they showed flashes of resilience in the second half, spurred on by picking up the full-court defense in the fourth quarter. Individually, there were highlights, including big three-pointers from Pritchard that helped stop a Knicks run and another that began to close the gap in the final period. Jaylen Brown hit some tough shots, including an early third-quarter three and a pull-up three late in the fourth. Additionally, Hugo provided a boost with excellent defense and his first NBA bucket. Ultimately, the deficit was too large to overcome, and the Knicks secured the 105-95 victoryThis podcast is brought to you by me, Guy DePlacido. WE ARE BACK!!! AFTER A YEAR LONG HIATUS, BOSTON CELTICS GAME DAY RECAP IS BACK AND SO ARE THE CELTICS!The Celtics dropped their season opener 117-116 to the 76ers in a heartbreaking fashion. After building a 13 pt lead, Philly led by Tyrese Maxey and Rookie Sensation VJ Edgecombe, went on a tear and pulled off a gritty win in Boston. Losing to Philly always hurts but it hurts a bit more when Embiid is a shell of himself. He was truly horrible tonight but Maxey and Edgecombe combined for 74 points!!There were a lot of positives to take from today as well as some negatives. From a positive standpoint, this team is going to be fun to watch. They pushed the pace, got out in transition, rebounded significantly better than I was expecting because of a gang rebounding mentality where they all crash and they still have a good offensive punch. From a negative standpoint, losing an All NBA Defender like Jrue Holiday is going to be a problem against guard heavy lineups like this 76ers team. Their transition defense, although it improved the second half, was horrible in this game leading to 21 pts. Overall, it was a fun game to watch but there is still a lot to learn about this team! This podcast is brought to you by me, Guy DePlacido. In this episode, Carl dives deep into the real reasons loan officers are feeling exhausted and scattered in today's market. He breaks down the silent signs of burnout that many LOs are battling—like phone avoidance, fake work, and the feeling of being on an island. You'll hear how small changes, like joining the Call Stars group or plugging into the Alliance, can bring back clarity, energy, and profitability. In this episode, host John Duffin interviews Ken Jordan. Ken is the Branch Manager, Loan Officer for the Premier Mortgage Team at Princeton Mortgage. We delve into various topics related to achieving early business success, including insights from Ken's experience navigating an earlier restaurant career. Lots of cursing, crying, and yelling (think Gordon Ramsay). Don't miss Ken & JD discussing the significance of sales skills received from Ken's Yellow Pages experience, and the principles of running a business where continuous learning is paramount. Pay particular attention to Ken's split-second decision in shifting his rituals and "joining" the 5 AM Club. You'll find that timing (and action) equate to significant results. Ken highlights the impacts of his 'Big 3' traits—skill set, mindset, and habits—and how these traits drive him to stronger relationships and increased success. Additional takeaways include the importance of surrounding yourself with inspiring people, trying new things, and finding happiness through progress rather than mere attainment. I am a huge fan and a friend of Ken Jordan. In addition to being a highly influential money man, Ken also hosts a series of podcasts (I have been fortunate to guest on Ken's "Selling the Dream" podcast). Ken is currently also hosting a series of mini-podcasts (five minutes, three questions) which are well worth your attention. The episode references a preview of Ken's upcoming quarterly workbook, designed to help you track and encourage your growth. If you're able, make sure to grab a copy. In this episode, I sit down with Steve Kyles to explore the power of finding a niche as a loan officer. We break down why having a niche doesn't mean you're limiting yourself—it actually opens doors. A clear niche helps you stand out, attract the right attention, and build credibility with producing real estate agents. The best part? Once you're trusted in one area, it becomes easier to earn business outside of that niche too. If you need help identifying or refining your niche, we're here to coach you through it.
