Gimme Some Options!

If you're not constantly trying to evolve, to do things better, smarter, more efficient... then you're doing it wrong. This is no truer than in the world of trading where the smartest minds in the world are competing to steal your lunch. In this episode, we discuss how I've been evolving lately and to the importance of coming to terms with the fact that all portfolios and strategies take on stress. How you manage it (both externally and internally) makes all the difference in the world.

Addition by subtraction. When you're in a losing position with defined risk, gamma is your friend. It's what will bring your position back to profitability. However, if you're sitting in open profits and you're approaching expiration, you're likely to notice your friend Mr. Gamma starting to overstay his welcome. In this episode, I think about ways to gracefully show Mr. Gamma the door without ruining the vibe for the rest of the portfolio party.
