    The September 18th elections in Germany's capital city and city-state of Berlin proved that the far-right Alternative für Deutschland can get double digits even in the country's city with the highest amount of foreigners. Further, a continuation of the current Social-Democrat government with Angela Merkel's Christian Conservative party was rejected and , made a left wing coalition from Social Democrats together with Die Linke and the Green party.     GPPW's Moritz Borchardt gives a quick update on party politics in Germany, especially with regard to the pressure Angela Merkel's Christian Conservatives face from the far right in form of the 'Alternative for Germany' in local elections. While doing so, he completely forgets which coalition governs the state of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, which is -of course- a coalition of Social Democrats and Christian Conservatives under the leadership of social democrat Erwin Sellering. Our apologies to the people of the Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, it was late and the last coffee was just a distant memory.
