Back to work in this crazy heat! Looking at cooler temps later this week! In the news this morning, an updated on the murder of Charlie Kirk, last Friday's Amber Alert in WI has been canceled after the young girl was found safe, flood victims in Wisconsin can now seek FEMA assistance, and Mike Wolfe from "American Pickers" is hospitalized after a car crash In sports, the Brewers took two out of three from the Cardinals this weekend and became the first team in MLB to clinch a postseason berth, the Bears & the Vikings both lost yesterday, the Badgers got dominated on Saturday, and Bengals QB Joe Burrow could be out for awhile with a toe injury. We talked about what's on TV today/tonight and looked at the list of winners from last night's Emmy awards. Really cool story about sportsmanship during the steeplechase at the World Athletics Championships in Tokyo. And check out this bride who was walked down the aisle by her landlord. Elsewhere in sports, some college coaches are already getting fired, the outcome of the Canelo/Crawford fight, and Cal Raleigh keeps hitting dingers! There's a new wedding trend that's trying to get the guests to help pay for the honeymoon of the newlyweds, and even though it's still summer…some stores have already got their Christmas stuff out on the floors. Some sad stats about people who are addicted to using ChatGPT, and there were not one….not two…but at least THREE green dildos thrown onto the fields during yesterday's NFL games! And in today's edition of "Bad News with Happy Music", we had stories about a guy who tunneled into his upstairs neighbor's apartment, a drone that was being used to locate some lost dogs in Maine was shot out of the sky, a couple spent four years trying to track down a wedding crasher who accidentally ended up in their wedding day pictures, and a #FloridaWoman who's mad at her bf for eating all her marathon snacks.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

This week on Money Wise, the guys recap another solid week on Wall Street, with the Dow up 433 points (1%), the S&P 500 up 103 points (1.6%), and the NASDAQ up 441 points (2%). Year-to-date gains now stand at 7.7% for the Dow, 11.9% for the S&P, and 14.7% for the NASDAQ. The conversation highlights how markets reacted to economic data, with producer prices coming in below expectations and jobless claims higher than forecast, fueling optimism that the Fed may announce a rate cut at its upcoming meeting. The Money Wise guys also touch on how Wall Street often interprets “bad news” as “good news,” why liquidity levels remain historically high, and the importance of keeping perspective on market performance beyond headlines. Markets Eye Fed's Next Move Markets are increasingly betting that the Federal Reserve will announce a rate cut at its upcoming meeting, with many expecting a ¼-point move and some even suggesting the possibility of a deeper cut later this year. Recent economic data, including softer producer prices and higher-than-expected jobless claims, have fueled expectations that the Fed will shift toward a more accommodative stance, setting the stage for what could be multiple cuts before year-end. In the second hour, the Money Wise guys explore RIA vs. Broker. You don't want to miss the details! From stalled UN plastics treaty talks, to the hottest summer on record across much of the northern hemisphere - it's been a bleak few weeks for climate news. So this week, against a backdrop of worsening headlines, we ask: are there still reasons to be optimistic? And what will it take to turn urgency into real change?Christiana Figueres, Tom Rivett-Carnac and Paul Dickinson are joined by Ani Dasgupta, President & CEO of the World Resources Institute. His new book, The New Global Possible: Rebuilding Optimism in the Age of Climate Crisis, argues that while we know what needs to be done, the real challenge lies in how to orchestrate transformation at scale.Ani shares stories of progress from cities, nations, and communities around the world, making the case that optimism isn't about ignoring reality, but about mobilising the political, economic, and social will to act.But does a hopeful outlook risk minimising the seriousness of the crisis? And how can we close the gap between lofty pledges and meaningful action?Learn more:

What a crazy world we're living in. We began the show this morning remembering 9/11 on the 24th anniversary of that tragic event. And continued with the disturbing news regarding the assassination of Charlie Kirk and the latest information about what happened on the Utah Valley University campus yesterday. In sports, the Brewers got swept by the Rangers yesterday, the Packers & Commanders open up Week 2 of the NFL season tonight, Lamar Jackson made some comments about his interaction with a fan in Buffalo on Sunday night, Anthony Rizzo announces his retirement, and Brock Purdy will be out for the 49ers this weekend. Elsewhere in sports, several Fresno State basketball players have been banned after getting caught betting on games, four people were arrested for the attempted murder of a Florida State football player, and allegations of misconduct in the Detroit Tigers organization. We talked about what's on TV today/tonight, and Office Cora once again joined us to talk about what she's up to in the 715 this weekend. On the lighter side of things, a nice story about some construction workers in Iowa who reacted quickly & used a trampoline to rescue a boy trapped in a house fire. Today is also "Hypothetical Thursday" and Jean went first with her question for Brian, "Which apocalypse scenario would you choose…Alien invasion or zombies?" Brian's question for Jean was: "What would you do if you're the dad in the 'Phillies Karen' situation?" It's not only "Hypothetical Thursday", but it's also National Make Your Bed Day…and we talked about some of the benefits of making your bed every morning after you wake up and get going. And in today's edition of "Bad News with Happy Music", we had stories about a guy who racked up a big gambling debt on a cruise ship & tried to jump off the boat to avoid paying it, an interesting video of a public bathroom in China that makes you watch an ad before getting some TP, a couple that filed for divorce because they couldn't agree on a name for their child, a guy who hired a mariachi band to play in his house while his cheating husband moved out, and a new procedure for men that's gaining in popularity.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Mondays after a weekend of football just feel different. We've got some really nice weather ahead of us this week with a few showers possible tomorrow, but warm & sunny for the rest of the week. In the news this morning, a couple of people hit on the massive Powerball jackpot this weekend, two Marquette La Crosse players were killed in a car wreck on Friday night by the campus, and a wild story about a fugitive father in New Zealand who had been hiding in the woods with his three kids has been killed by authorities. In sports, the Brewers swept the Pirates this weekend, the Badgers got a nice win over Middle Tennessee on Saturday, the Packers took care of the Lions yesterday, last night's Sunday Night Football game between the Ravens & Bills was an instant classic, and a look at tonight's MNF matchup between the Vikings & Bears. Elsewhere in sports, Denny Hamlin got a win yesterday to make the Round of 12 in the NASCAR playoffs, we talked about the US Open winners, and the grudge between Bill Belichick & the Krafts seems to be getting worse by the day. Obviously, we talked about the Phillies Karen quite a bit this morning as she was ALL OVER social media. Unfortunately, nobody has been able to identify her with absolute certainty……yet. But the internet is coming for her. We let you know what's on TV today/tonight and we talked a bit about last night's MTV VMA's and the tribute to Ozzy featuring Joe Perry & Steven Tyler of Aerosmith with Yungblud. Moo Deng has now been replaced by a new pygmy hippo that was just born at a zoo in Michigan, so you don't need to travel to Thailand to see one any longer, and a guy in New York is going viral for his inspiring signs. A look at how many trees it takes to make the world's toilet paper is making Brian think it's time for a bidet. Another beautiful day in the Coulee Region. Sadly, I looked ahead to next weekend and it looks like those 80° days might be returning. We kicked things off with the Thursday Song and we also talked to Office Cora to see what she's up to this weekend in the 715. And it was another round of "Hypothetical Thursday"! Brian's question for Jean was: " Jean's question for Brian was: " And Cora's question for us was: " In the news this morning, there was no winner for the Powerball jackpot last night, an update on the Jonah Larson case, the West Salem couple accused of severe child abuse plead not guilty, Vladimir Putin is apparently trying to live forever by transplanting organs, a warning about taking the annuity payment if you do win the lottery, and the "Ketamine Queen" pleads guilty in the Matthew Perry overdose case. In sports, the Brewers beat the Phillies yesterday without Christian Yelich in the lineup, the NFL regular season begins tonight with the Cowboys & Eagles on NBC, some changes are being made to the NFL Redzone, and there's also going to be a format change in next year's NBA All-Star game. Elsewhere in sports, an update on Caitlin Clark, a very popular "illegal" sports streaming service gets shut down, some possible trouble for Kawhi Leonard & the LA Clippers, and the Idaho football team shows off their new alternate uniforms & helmets. A woman in England is selling her house & it's going viral because she has a ball pit for adults INSIDE the home. And a crime-fighting nun in Pittsburgh thwarted some would-be thieves recently. Have you heard of the very trendy "Great Lock-In" on TikTok? It's apparently very popular. We let you know what's on TV today/tonight and we looked at the new "Dancing with the Stars" cast. Plus, Brian recaps the new Netflix documentary, "Unknown Number: The High School Catfish". And in today's edition of "Bad News with Happy Music", we had stories about a #FloridaMan who attacked a couple in the parking lot a grocery store with some bug spray, a WI cop who got chased by a wild turkey, a Denver man who was wearing nothing but a speedo & was covered in mud while running from the cops, a grandfather who took the wrong kid home from daycare, another #FloridaMan in a puppy costume who strangled a kid, and a 5-year-old boy who escaped his house in the morning to walk to Chick-Fil-A and enjoy a breakfast sandwich.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Holy crap, it's Hump Day already! Gotta love these short weeks. And it's only going to be 64° for a high!!! I'm here for the cooler weather. In the news this morning, an update on a homicide investigation in Eau Claire, a Jackson County woman was recently arrested for her third OWI, all the info on tonight's Powerball drawing, an arrest has been made in Texas for the murder of an 11-year-old child who was playing "Ding Dong Ditch", and President Donald Trump provides some clarity on a viral video of the White House. The Brew Crew were off last night and resume their series with the Phillies this evening, the new NCAAF rankings came out yesterday, the WI Badgers QB is going to be out this week against Middle Tennessee, and Week 1 of the NFL season kicks off tomorrow night! Speaking of Week 1 in the NFL, we made our first Pigskin Picks of the season! Let you know what's on TV today/tonight, and we discussed a list of the best 80's cartoons!!!!! And we discussed a morning routine that can apparently help you live to be 100 years old. Elsewhere in sports, an Astros pitcher is denying that he intentionally tried to hit his catcher with a pitch, Micah Parsons might need a shot in his back to play this weekend for the Packers, and the "Tush Push" has a title sponsor! Cool story about a cop who bought a bus ticket with his own money to help get a disabled man back home, and a record-setting kickball game that raised a bunch of money for charity. And in today's edition of "Bad News with Happy Music", we had stories about a guy suing a grocery store, a woman who got scammed out of a bunch of money by a fake astronaut, a dude who ran a woman over with his vehicle after she refused to let him smell her feet, and a cheerleader who tried to conceal her dead baby in her closet.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

The long, holiday weekend has come to an end…the calendar has flipped to a new month…and we've got so much to do before this Sunday's bike giveaway at Features in Holmen! Speaking of the new month, it's officially September…so we listed off a few things to look forward to in the upcoming month. We also talked to Grant Bilse of the Wisco Sports Show about the struggling Brewers, and the MASSIVE move by the Packers last week to acquire Micah Parsons from the Cowboys. In the news this morning, the Powerball jackpot is going to be $1.3 billion this Wednesday, a victim of a road rage attack in VT might need to have both his eyes surgically removed, former UWL Chancellor Joe Gow is going to be on TV tonight in a TMZ story about OnlyFans, an 11-year-old child was shot & killed while playing a game of "ding dong ditch", and actor Graham Greene passed away this weekend. In sports, the Brew Crew continue to struggle, Bill Belichick makes his debut as the head coach of UNC, a look at the Week 1 schedule in the NFL, and Chase Briscoe gets a win in the first NASCAR Cup Series playoff race. Elsewhere in sports, a viral clip of a Polish CEO stealing from a child, and a very "grabby" Oakland A's fan reminds us of another moment in baseball history. We talked about what else is on TV tonight and we also discussed the guy at the Korn show at MetLife stadium who was REALLY excited to be there. Everyone was sharing the video of the kid walking around on a monorail at an amusement park this weekend(thankfully, he was rescued without harm), but did you see this 100-year-old celebrate his birthday with a skydive??? There was also three brothers who rowed across the Pacific Ocean and helped raise over $1 million for clean water projects in Madagascar! And in today's edition of "Bad News with Happy Music", we had stories about a guy who's luggage was stolen from the airport…but he used his Apple airtags to track down the thieves, an officer who responded to a call while visibly intoxicated, a guy who got busted for filming upskirt videos at a college library, a Maserati owner who got busted with a bunch of laughing gas containers in his car, a new crime spree where people steal your gutters in broad daylight for scrap, and a couple of guys took turns shooting each other in the head while wearing a Kevlar helmet.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

President Trump on Monday evening fired Biden-appointed Federal Reserve Governor Lisa Cook amid mortgage fraud allegations. “Pursuant to my authority under Article II of the Constitution of the United States and the Federal Reserve Act of 1913, as amended, you are hereby removed from your position on the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve, effective immediately,” President Trump wrote in a letter to Lisa Cook. “I have determined that there is sufficient cause to remove you from your position,” Trump added as he cited housing regulator Bill Pulte's criminal referral on Lisa Cook for mortgage fraud – specifically occupancy fraud.   Source: thegatewaypundit.com What Fed must do now after Jerome Powell's Jackson Hole epiphany Last Friday in Jackson Hole, Federal Reserve Chairman Jay Powell finally – and grudgingly – admitted what the Trump team has been saying all along: tariffs don't fuel inflation. At most, tariffs create a one-time adjustment in prices, not the kind of runaway spiral that demands punishing rate hikes. And even that one-time bump may be negligible if, as we have long argued, foreign exporters – not American consumers – shoulder most or all of the burden. The implication is clear: whether the impact is zero or merely a one-time step-up in prices, there is absolutely no justification for the Fed to hide behind "tariff uncertainty" as an excuse for overly restrictive interest-rate policy.   Soure: foxnews.com Political/Rights https://twitter.com/robbystarbuck/status/1960481691606376666 https://twitter.com/AsraNomani/status/1960407636446175597 https://twitter.com/libsoftiktok/status/1960714129783546232  FAILED promises. https://twitter.com/libsoftiktok/status/1960729811099308460 Obama Judge Says MS-13 Gang Member Kilmar Abrego Garcia Cannot be Deported Until At Least October
