FINALLY!!!!! The spookiest day/night of the year has arrived and I'm soooooo ready to drink some Festbiers while handing out some candy and watching scary movies!!! I hope you have a fun & safe Halloween. We started things off this morning by day-dreaming about winning tonight's Mega Millions jackpot, talked about a recall on blood pressure medication, and discussed a list of freebies you can take advantage of today for Halloween! In sports, the Ravens easily beat the Dolphins last night, we looked at the rest of the Week 9 schedule, Bucks got a nice win over Golden State last night without Giannis in the game, the World Series continues tonight from Toronto, the Badger football team is on a bye this weekend, and the Badger men's basketball team starts their regular season on Monday. We let you know what's on TV this weekend and what's new in theaters. Plus, we talked to Doc just after 8am and got his Racing Report courtesy of County Materials in Holmen! Elsewhere in sports, LSU fired their athletic director a day after the Louisiana Governor had some rather negative comments about the football program, the Lakers are being sold, and Gervonta Davis is in some serious trouble just weeks before his scheduled fight against Jake Paul. In other Halloween-related stuff, we took a look at how much Americans are spending on the holiday this year, and a list of the Top 10 costumes for adults, kids, & pets! Speaking of pets…check out this dog that just got reunited with it's owner SEVEN years after it went missing during a robbery. And in today's edition of "Bad News with Happy Music", we had stories about the dangers of caramel apples, a dude who dropped a 2,000lb pumpkin on his GEO Metro, a warning from the po-po about weed candy, a woman who ordered some meds online but got body parts instead, a new "Florida Man Cam" at Nashville Predator games, and a drunk dude in Germany who fell out of a bar & into the backyard of a butcher shop.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

The last 24 hours have seen three important developments, both legal and political, that spell real trouble for Donald Trump and his administration.First: the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals vacated the lower court opinion in which two Trump-appointed judges decided Trump should be able to militarize the streets of Portland, Oregon. The appeals court will now sit in judgement en banc (full court) and hopefully put a more permanent stop to Trump's attempts to send troops into Portland based on Trump's "assertions that are untethered to the facts," as the trial court judge found.Second: As NPR reported, "Senate Republicans deal Trump a rare rebuke on trade with vote against Brazil tariffs."And Third: a federal judge in California ruled that the US Attorney for the Middle District of California was appointed unlawfully by Trump. This ruling has important implications for the prosecutions of James Comey and Letitia James, and may result in those cases being dismissed. For Glenn's Substack: hhtps://glennkirschner.substack.comSee Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

It's All Hallow's Eve Eve! Does that make sense? It's the day before Halloween(duh). And we had a to of Halloween stuff this morning including a Jason Vorhees/Peloton team-up, the #1 candy in every state, and whether or not Halloween decorations have become too scary. It's also "Hypothetical Thursday" and Jean's question was: "Would you rather ONLY eat candy corns for an entire month...or eat ONLY pumpkin-flavored foods for an entire month?" Brian's question was: "Which horror movie main character do you think you could survive?" We also talked to Office Cora to find out what she's up to in the 715 this weekend. Her Hypothetical Question for us was: "Would you rather have food delivered instantly the moment you order it...but it's a bit too spicy and the temperature of the food is off....or have it delivered normally with the right amount of spice & the correct temperature?" In sports, the Blue Jays got a BIG win over the Dodgers last night in Game 5 of the World Series, Week 9 in the NFL kicks off tonight with Thursday Night Football, a look at the NFC North schedule this weekend, the Bucks are back in action tonight, an update on Terry Rozier & Chauncy Billups, the Twins get a new manager, and Aidan Hutchinson gets a massive contract extension. Elsewhere in sports, the Governor of Louisiana has some interesting comments about the next head coach at LSU, former NHL player Ryan Kesler is facing some serious chargers, and Kyle Busch & his wife lost over $8 million in a life insurance scam! Several really cool stories this morning, including Mr. Frodo crashing a "Lord of the Rings"-themed wedding, a kid who grew his hair out so he could donate it to charity, and a family found a message in a bottle from a WW1 soldier! Today is "National Candy Corn Day", and pretty much everyone hates it. And in today's edition of "Bad News with Happy Music", we had stories about a pet monkey that got loose in a Spirit Halloween store, an artificial "tongue" that can apparently detect how spicy foods are, a woman who got hit in the face by a duck while riding a rollercoaster at SeaWorld, a United Airlines flight that got delayed with a couple of flight attendants turned into fight attendants, a guy who tried to sneak into a jail with a giant Thermos up his ass, a cop in Detroit who showed up to a virtual court hearing without any pants on, and a Halloween hater who destroyed a display featuring a skeleton version of Bob Ross!See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Rates continue to fall today. There were two rate announcements, only hours apart. This morning the bank of Canada reduced its benchmark lending rate by 0.25%. Weakness in the labor market was the top cited reason for the drop in rates. This afternoon at 2:30, Chair Powell stood at the podium as he does every six weeks and announces the results of the two day FOMC meetings. The Fed dropped their benchmark lending rate by 0.25% to a target range of 3.75% to 4%. This is the second consecutive rate cut by the Fed, a move aimed at supporting a labor market that has shown signs of weakening even while inflation continues to run above the Fed's 2% target. When you start to look at all of the corporate layoffs and the rising unemployment rate, it is very reminiscent of the 2001 recession that was led by layoffs in the tech sector. So while the news of lower interest rates is welcome, the rates are a reaction to a faltering economy where just this week alone, more than 75,000 people lost their jobs. I'm not counting the smaller layoff announcements of only a few hundred people in that total. These are big numbers. You don't see these kind of numbers in a growing economy. So the likelihood is high that the US is already in recession, but it is politically unpalatable to say that out loud. What's more, there is no data being collected or reported, so the economy can limp along under the cover of the government shutdown. Then there is the government shutdown itself. Those families are not getting paid and you can guarantee that they've cut back on discretionary spending. That's a few million people who are not traveling to resorts or dining out in fancy restaurants.------------**Real Estate Espresso Podcast:** Spotify: [The Real Estate Espresso Podcast](https://open.spotify.com/show/3GvtwRmTq4r3es8cbw8jW0?si=c75ea506a6694ef1) iTunes: [The Real Estate Espresso Podcast](https://podcasts.apple.com/ca/podcast/the-real-estate-espresso-podcast/id1340482613) Website: [www.victorjm.com](http://www.victorjm.com) LinkedIn: [Victor Menasce](http://www.linkedin.com/in/vmenasce) YouTube: [The Real Estate Espresso Podcast](http://www.youtube.com/@victorjmenasce6734) Facebook: [www.facebook.com/realestateespresso](http://www.facebook.com/realestateespresso) Email: [podcast@victorjm.com](mailto:podcast@victorjm.com) **Y Street Capital:** Website: [www.ystreetcapital.com](http://www.ystreetcapital.com) Facebook: [www.facebook.com/YStreetCapital](https://www.facebook.com/YStreetCapital) Instagram: [@ystreetcapital](http://www.instagram.com/ystreetcapital)

Gav and Sinead discuss the events of last week, when there were yet more job losses in Irish sports journalism. This will affect sports fans in a number of ways, from there being fewer experienced people to hold organisations and individuals to account, to less depth and quality in the coverage of sport. Why are some media organisations laying off their most seasoned journalists? Why is there less money in the fourth estate nowadays? How did the internet change the game and why did so many newspapers and websites fall foul of social media algorithm changes? The pair ponder what's next for the industry and Sinead explains why the future for media firms could be a return to more traditional journalistic practices. Nick Raich notes increased competition facing PayPal (PYPL), pointing to disruption in the digital payments space. He says the "silver lining" for PYPL ahead of earnings is that the expectations have been lowered and "bad news priced in." Nick adds that he wants to see a beat and raise, saying improved guidance will be key for the Venmo parent company. He likes the large user base in its ecosystem, but says it needs to grow market share in order to have any positive catalyst in its shares. I'm always asking questions. The fun begins when you start researching for answers. Such as… How is it we become more aware and begin lifting our game of caring when all things are going wrong? Plus…do personal battles actually serve as greater lessons? I'm Arroe… I am a daily writer. A silent wolf. I stand on the sidelines and do nothing but watch, listen study then activate. I call it The Daily Mess. A chronological walk through an everyday world. Yes, it's my morning writing. As a receiver of thoughts and ideas, we as people tend to throw it to the side and deal with it later. When a subject arrives, I dig in. It's still keeping a journal! By doing the research the picture becomes clearer. This is the Daily Mess… Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/arroe-collins-unplugged-totally-uncut--994165/support.

Perception is strong and sight weak. In strategy it is important to see distant things as if they were close and to take a distanced view of close things. — Miyamoto Musashi Yesterday's today's Trade Execution Summary Grid: Receive today's Trade Execution Summary Grid, our Complete Analysis & Predictions of Stocks, Bonds, Gold & Bitcoin, as well as our Trade Execution Instructions by becoming a Patreon Member at any of our three levels of support: https://bit.ly/CWPatreonSupport Sign up at Trading View access my platform and charts: https://www.tradingview.com/?aff_id=136493 How to Set Up Our Three Time Frame Chart on TradingView: https://youtu.be/wLwTnrtAOTA I have opened my page to sharing. Within hours of each other, multiple polls showed that Hoosiers are down on redistricting and their governor. As sour as Indiana residents appear to be on changing congressional maps, they may be even less impressed with Mike Braun's performance. On this week's Statehouse Happenings, Rob Kendall, Abdul-Hakim Shabazz, and Jim Merritt discuss why the governor and General Assembly won't let redistricting go, and how Braun can right the ship.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

[DONATE WITH PAYPAL] Greg and Ed the Protestant dive into a lively discussion about the fading concept of sin in contemporary Protestant and Evangelical churches. They explore how the gospel's power hinges on the reality of bad news—sin's eternal consequences—before the good news can shine. Ed shares his recent experiences at a modern evangelical church, where sermons focus on self-improvement and "living your best life" rather than confronting sin head-on. Greg argues that this shift turns pastors and even Jesus into life coaches, diluting the urgency of salvation and the church's mission. With their signature blend of humor, insight, and orthodoxy, they unpack why a gospel without sin misses the mark. Tune in for a thought-provoking conversation that challenges the modern church's approach and teases an exciting announcement from Ed about his journey toward Catholicism. Donate with PayPal!
