Matt Way discusses his journey in hockey. Matt now works full time for England Hockey as a coach developer and moved across from a teaching role as Head of Year at St John’s, Marlborough in January 2019. Matt is a recent graduate of the ACP Programme and Matt is currently a Performance Centre Head Coach in the West of England and also assists the Bristol University Hockey Programme.

Danny Newcombe currently leads the (BSc) Sport, Coaching and PE degree. He is a Senior Lecturer and teaches the coaching, practice to theory strand of the degree. Within the hockey world Danny is the Assistant Coach to the Wales Men's Hockey Team and Assistant coach at Reading Hockey Club Ladies 1st team. Danny also works as a coach developer for Great Britain Hockey. Finally Danny is one of the four authors of the book The Constraints-Led Approach: Principles for Sports Coaching and Practice. The book provides coaches with the theoretical knowledge required to implement constraints-led approaches in their work.
