Full disclosure - there is nothing short about this edition of the shortcast. Rusty is in the middle of nowhere (actually near Mildura) for the Sunraysia Safari. Just before competitors set off for 1200ks of cross country he caught up with Rob & Dean Herridge under Maximum Motorsport E-Z Up. What brings them back to this gruelling event and the ‘David n Goliath’ fight they wage in their Subaru’s including a new WRX. It’s a cool story of Father and Son rallying together in truly unique countryside on the edge of the desert. Then Tony Quinn joins us and we know how much you love a TQ catch-up. He’s come straight from Tailem Bend where his grandson Ryder turned heads with an epic drive in GT4. Tony talks about trying to win Sunraysia again in a Dakar spec V8 powered Navara. And he’s still keeping an eye on The Bend this weekend as his Triple 8 team tries to win the first of the Supercars enduros this season. Rally fans, Supercars supporters, GT enthusiasts. There’s something for all of you in the ep. Enjoy. Labor Day Replay:A divine prophecy, a kitchen cupboard full of auction school applications, and a career-defining first sale scheduled right after 9/11 – these unlikely elements converged to launch Yvette Vanderbrink into the world of automotive auctioneering, where she's spent 25 years specializing in barn finds and collector vehicles that others often don't know how to handle.Vanderbrink takes us behind the scenes of her recent Montana auction featuring 604 vehicles from three generations of collecting, explaining the logistical nightmares of conducting sales in remote locations with no cell service or electricity. With refreshing candor, she shares stories of overcoming sexism in the industry, including the memorable response to a man who suggested she "make a sandwich and let the boys do it" – she simply took away his bidder number. The psychology of car collecting emerges as a fascinating thread, with Yvette noting vehicles are "easier to come home than they are to leave," explaining how modest collections transform into hoarding situations. The thrill of the hunt often supersedes practical restoration plans, leading to expansive collections awaiting "someday" projects – something she witnessed firsthand with her father's 228-car collection.Don Armstrong provides a thorough review of the 2025 Kia Niro Hybrid, highlighting its impressive 53 mpg city fuel economy, attractive styling with Volvo-esque taillights, and competitive $26,990 starting price. The "small station wagon" (according to government classification) earns praise for its unique design elements, simple interior controls, and outstanding efficiency, positioning it as an ideal urban commuter vehicle.Whether you're fascinated by barn finds with stories to tell, considering an efficient hybrid for your daily commute, or simply enjoy authentic car talk from passionate enthusiasts, this episode delivers entertainment and insights that will have you looking at both forgotten classics and modern hybrids in a new light.Be sure to subscribe for more In Wheel Time Car Talk! The Lupe' Tortilla RestaurantsLupe Tortilla in Katy, Texas Gulf Coast Auto ShieldPaint protection, tint, and more!Disclaimer: This post contains affiliate links. Just like the great riders and drivers this is a story of a self taught artisan who passionately dedicates himself to the craft spending long hours every day to personalize helmets that could easily be on display in a gallery. Working with Chaz Mostert, Greg Murphy, James Courtney, Shane van Gisbergen and many more to capture and express their personalities and to keep bringing a freshness to each design. How his background was the perfect foundation for this unlikely career path and the Michael Schumacher replica that started it all. Expanding into custom trims to give each ‘lid’ that special touch. And why he won’t compromise on quality in the race to finish a number of new helmets ahead of the Supercars enduros. In the powerful conclusion to their four-part series, Rusty and Heather share the road to redemption after the painful confession that nearly destroyed their marriage. They pick up right where the story left off, walking through the raw and honest moments that followed the revelation—when non-negotiables had to be set, boundaries had to be drawn, and a clear line in the sand was established. They describe the moment of true brokenness that led to real repentance, and how that became the starting point of a long, difficult, but ultimately beautiful journey of healing. This episode highlights what rebuilding trust really looks like, the reality that forgiveness is both a decision and a daily choice, and the intentional work required to lay a new foundation for a marriage. Rusty and Heather also share the practical and spiritual tools that helped them—counseling, mentorship, marriage intensives, and the balance of navigating personal healing while fighting for their relationship. They reveal how God used their deepest pain to create a ministry that now brings hope and direction to couples around the world. For anyone who has ever wondered if a marriage can truly be redeemed after betrayal and heartbreak, this episode is living proof that with God, not only is it possible—but a stronger, more beautiful marriage can rise from the ashes. In this episode of Pixelated Playgrounds, Bryan and Josh dive into the cozy corner of gaming with two titles redefining what it means to “play” in the background: Rusty's Retirement, the low-screen-real-estate Stardew that keeps your crops thriving while you multitask, and Spirit City: Lo-Fi Sessions, a beautiful blend of productivity and play that turns your to-do list into an aesthetic experience. We'll unpack how these games fit (or don't fit) into our lives, explore why ambient gaming is on the rise, and debate whether these functional, low-pressure titles are the future of the cozy game trend or just a passing vibe. Along the way, we'll touch on the fascinating stories of their developers, the design philosophies behind these multitask-friendly experiences, and how they blur the line between tool and entertainment. Tune in as we break down what makes these experiences so compelling even as they push you away to go do other things.Three Word Reviews:Spirit City: Lo Fi SessionsBryan - Chill Life AdminJosh - A Different DrummerRusty's RetirementBryan - Second Screen StardewJosh - Chill Garden PartyMusic Used:To the Beach by Mondo LoopsVermillion Cliffs by Odem MedoLast River by InternalEyeWhen Stars Lit Up the Sky by lost.minddLars Asger - CarrotLars Asger - March of the MachinesLars Asger - Seven Minus TwoLars Asger - Sun BeamLars Asger - StreamEarly Garden - Secret MessagesCoastal Moods - MujjO

Codesport’s Matt Hickey is back in the Garage as F1 fires up for the 2nd half of the season.McLaren reckon their drivers are getting on well (unlike some of the other inter team rivalries over the years) but surely there’ll be a blow-up between Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri at some stage? Cadillac will give Sergio Perez and Valtteri Bottas the keys next year. Makes sense right? But can this new F1 team sneak a point or two and be better than ‘cellar dwellers’ in ’26? RedBull is currently 4th in the Constructor’s standings (is it crazy to think that) and while it’s not in Max Verstappen’s nature to wave the white flag surely the team will start to shift its focus to next season and the new regs. And while Daniel Riccardo recovers from a dirt bike crash hopefully he writes a wish list of post F1 Motorsport events he’d like a crack at….Bathurst anyone? It’s two blokes talking Motorsport with an F1 flavour as the sport’s summer break comes to an end and we rev up for the Dutch Grand Prix this weekend. Local vape shop owners say that the flavored tobacco ban Mayor Johnston signed into law last year represents an existential threat to their businesses and a major blow to the City of Denver's sales tax revenues. But will that be enough to convince Denver voters to repeal the ban this November? Producer Paul Karolyi sits down with two local vape shop owners — Kristen Hensel of Rusty's Vape and Smoke Shop and Philip Guerin of Myxed Up Creations — to talk about how kids get access to vapes, the Zyn plant being built in Aurora, and what the flavored tobacco ban means for their businesses. Paul talked about the Geek Bar website, this CU Anschutz report on Denver's flavored tobacco ban, the surge in nitrous oxide, aka “whippets,” in Denver, and Gov. Jared Polis' position on a statewide flavored tobacco ban, which he said he opposed in 2022. He also cited reporting on the repeal campaign's 17,000 signatures and $328,000 raised. We've reached out to the Food & Drug Administration for comment on Phil's claim of regular attempted busts at his shop and haven't heard back.
