He took over the role in July 2024 after a successful three-year tenure as head coach of the Hiroshima Dragonflies, where he helped elevate the team's competitive standing. From 2013 to 2015, he served as Assistant Coach at ee-air tool-lawn Hyères-Toulon Var Basket in France's Pro B division, helping guide the team to the playoffs with the 17th-ranked budget out of 18.Milling was promoted to Head Coach of Hyères-Toulon from 2015 to 2017. Under his leadership, the team won Pro B in 2016 with the lowest budget in the league, earning promotion to Pro A. In his first season, Limoges reached the Pro A semi-finals and placed 4th overall. Concurrently, his teams advanced to the Top 16 of the EuroCup in both 2017–2018 and 2018–2019 campaigns. In 2020, Milling took his coaching expertise to Japan as Head Coach of Yokohama B-Corsairs. There, he guided the club to the most wins in its B.League history. From 2021 to 2024, he led the Hiroshima Dragonflies through a remarkable transformation. Taking over a team that had gone 9–48 in the 2020–21 season, he drove a turnaround that culminated in a B.League Championship in 2023–2024. Under his leadership, Hiroshima posted records of 29–27, 42–22, and 42–26 across three seasons. He was honored as the 2023–2024 B.League Coach of the Year.
Assistant Coach Jerry Philbin joins the squad to team with Tako, competing against Scott & Mason, in this David-hosted game. From the get-go, it is clear that Scott has forgotten that he has teamed with Mason more than 20 times in the past, as he treats him like a guest. Mason demonstrates his knowledge of first ladies of the U.S., going back to Grace Coolidge, cutting himself off there before he gets all the way back to Babe Van Buren. Later in the game, Tako compares the 1999 Orlando Magic to Colorado Rockies catchers - we clearly can't remember either one. (Unless you are Scott Grimes, of course). #firstladies #gracecoolidge #babevanburen #orlandomagic #coloradorockies https://dobosdelights.com/ Promo Code: CheckYourTaint https://www.patreon.com/benchwarmerstp https://www.facebook.com/benchwarmerstp https://www.twitter.com/benchwarmerstp https://www.instagram.com/benchwarmerstp/ https://www.teepublic.com/stores/benchwarmers-trivia-podcast

Scott hosted this fascinating matchup when Assistant Coach Trevor Hogg teamed with unable-to-pronounce-his-own-name Tako against Assistant Coach John Ross and Notorious Steals Guy, David. The teams were challenged with some great trivia, but managed to work in discussions of lost NBA brother, Lopez Lopez, all the reasons an answer could NOT be Nelson Cruz, and the all-important question: Is Carl Crawford an 80s police cop? We also witness the return of Jermichael Finley (and were thankful that Josh wasn't there to witness it). And finally, perhaps in a podcast first, two people were thinking of Cole Aldrich, preceded by David thinking of rappers. #reggie #nba #lopezlopez #nelsoncruz #carlcrawford #jermichaelfinley #colealdrich https://dobosdelights.com/ Promo Code: CheckYourTaint https://www.patreon.com/benchwarmerstp https://www.facebook.com/benchwarmerstp https://www.twitter.com/benchwarmerstp https://www.instagram.com/benchwarmerstp/ https://www.teepublic.com/stores/benchwarmers-trivia-podcast

Whenever there's success at the top level of international rugby in New Zealand, more often than not there is one specific name involved. Known as the ‘Scrum Doctor', Mike Cron was an assistant coach for the All Blacks for more than 200 games, winning the 2011 and 2015 World Cups. He then came out of retirement in 2022 to join the Black Ferns, helping them win a world title as well, before shifting over to join the Wallabies. In the midst of all this, he's written a book: ‘Coach: Lessons from an All Black Legend'. Cron told Heather du Plessis-Allan that he's always had a thirst for knowledge, and found ideas from looking at other elite sports. “I've never been really interested in rugby coaching seminars,” he said. “They left me a bit bland, so to speak. Y'know, they just showed you a new drill or something.” Ballet and sumo are two sports he's pulled ideas from, saying the key is to go in with an open mind. “If you've got an open mind and you look and listen, there will be some, some bit of gold there for you.” LISTEN ABOVE See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Ray Blehar Second Mile Sandusky Scandal"Jerry" Sandusky (born January 26, 1944) is a convicted serial child molester and retired American football coach. Sandusky served as an assistant coach for his entire career, mostly at Pennsylvania State University under Joe Paterno (from 1969 to 1999). He received Assistant Coach of the Year awards in 1986 and 1999.[Sandusky authored several books related to his football coaching experiences. In 1977, Sandusky founded The Second Mile, a non-profit charity serving Pennsylvania underprivileged and at-risk youth. After Sandusky retired as assistant coach at Penn State, he continued working with The Second Mile at Penn State, maintaining an office at Penn State until 2011.In 2011, following a two-year grand jury investigation, Sandusky was arrested and charged with 52 counts of sexual abuse of young boys over a 15-year period from 1994 to 2009. He met his molestation victims through The Second Mile; they were participating in the organization. Several of them testified against Sandusky in his sexual abuse trial. Four of the charges were subsequently dropped. On June 22, 2012, Sandusky was found guilty on 45 of the 48 remaining charges. Sandusky was sentenced on October 9, 2012 to 30 to 60 years in prison—at his age, effectively a life sentence. On October 18, 2012, Sandusky's lawyers appealed his conviction in Centre County Court in Pennsylvania. They claim that they did not have enough time to prepare for their client's case. On October 31, 2012, Sandusky was moved to Pennsylvania's SCI Greene "supermax" prison to serve his sentence. On January 30, 2013, Pennsylvania Judge John Cleland denied Sandusky's request for a new trial.Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/the-opperman-report--1198501/support.
