Since award season has been postponed due to the pandemic, we decided to treat you all to the 1st Annual(ish) Imami-y Awards. There really isn't much else that we can say beyond that... but know this: you *all* need to listen to this. We have some surprises up our sleeves, and you definitely don't want to miss a second of our fabulous, star-studded award show (and by stars, I obviously mean us). We may not have a “Kanye-is-a-jerk-and-interrupts-TayTay's-moment” moment of drama and craziness, but isn't everything we do a little dramatic and crazy? Okay, okay, so there may have been more masks and mayhem than movies, but doesn't that title sound dramatic? Either way, enjoy us recounting some of the best (and one of the worst) movies that we saw in 2020. It is a truth universally acknowledged that we have used this quote one too many times on this podcast. But what better way to introduce our episode on Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice than with the iconic opening quote itself (or some slightly mangled rendition of it)?

In this episode, we welcome Andrés back to our podcast. [All of our loyal fans out there will remember him from S1E5 The Quarantine Diaries: The One With Our F•R•I•E•N•D•S (AKA Socially Distant Friendships)]. We talk about movies. Now, as you all probably know, we talk about movies a lot. But in this episode, Andrés teaches us about *real people movies*... We think we're really smart, but we get taken down a couple pegs in this episode. At least now, we can confidently say that we perfectly understand cinnamontopography. 

Zainab: "Sabriya, what should we write for this description? You usually do all the work for uploading, so I have no idea what to put." Sabriya: "I usually do all the work *period*..." Zainab: "I hate you." Sabriya: "I hate you more." Zainab: "...so what did we decide about for the description?" Sabriya: "Um... I guess... something about how we spent this podcast episode recounting some of our greatest conversations yet?" Zainab: "I guess that works." Sabriya: "Of course it does. I came up with it."

Once again, we have decided to put Buzzfeed quizzes to the test... to the quiz? Something like that... Prepare yourself for many dramatic (and some not-so-dramatic) reveals! There were some really funny outtakes from this episode that were accidentally deleted (not because of any one person's fault, of course), but we would like to apologize in advance that you'll never be able to hear any of those...

As everyone obviously knows by this point, we're Disney experts. Because of that, we're so incredibly qualified to be sharing our [completely correct] opinions on the new Disney Princess reboots. Grab a bowl of Mac & Cheese and enjoy!!!

Meet our brother, Yusuf. To mix things up a little (and make him feel important) we decided to give him a chance to interview us. It wasn't at all what we were expecting, but we did expect things to get a little weird. We were definitely right about that.

In honor of Father's Day being right around the corner, we decided to invite our very own Darth Vader to guest star on the podcast! Enjoy us trying to pretend like we know what was going on in all the Star Wars movies and Daddy trying to explain it to us! May the Force Be With You...

So we decided to "interview" our little cousins, and as I'm sure you all guessed, it ended well... Also, when we say "uncut..." we really, really, really mean "uncut."

**SPOILER ALERT ...as per usual...** Meet our uncle! And then, listen to us pick apart some of pop culture history's greatest (and not-so-great) ~bad guys~. You'll get to hear Zainab complain about Snape (again, as per usual), Sabriya put in way more effort than was necessary (again...as per usual...), and our uncle talk about how much he loves Thanos (...as per usual... not that you guys would know). Recording this was one of the most chaotic things I've ever done in my entire life. Enjoy.
