It's been...a few weeks since the finale of Andor aired (or streamed, rather) on Disney Plus, but it's not production delays, real life problems, or anything of that nature which has our last reaction and discussion podcast of season one coming out so late. Part of it was planned (since This is the Way Podcast doesn't get access to early watches, we can't have a podcast ready to go before some of the other outlets) and part of it was a lack of desire since there isn't anything new coming until after the new year. There was a desire to read and hear articles and interviews that we know come out typically after the show seasons come to a close which would shed more light on what we saw and what we might see next season. That's definitely the case and you'll hear about some of that after the show recap portion. "Rix Road" isn't a perfect send-off, but we KNOW we're getting a second season, and this finale answers some of the questions it raised and sets up resolutions to come. Showrunner Tony Gilroy has been saying all the right things and wrote so much better than some of the other shows that even Hollywood took notice and it's hard to find legitimate criticisms of the work (I'm not saying they aren't out there, but just not liking something isn't the same as having evidence of bad writing or terrible acting). Cassian "became Cassian" during this season and for a show CALLED Andor, what more can you expect from a show than to do what it tells you it's going to do...well, when it does so in a thought provoking and entertaining way, you get terrific television. Season two is a long way away and The Bad Batch season two and The Mandalorian season three and Ahsoka and Acolyte season ones will all come out well before it. It isn't necessary to resist comparisons. Don't buy that line from "fans" of Star Wars. It doesn't have to be apples to apples. Good writing and acting speak for themselves. Send an email to thisisthewaypodcast@gmail.com if you have comments. Everything will be seen and read. Almost everything will get some sort of reply. Check out the This is the Way Podcast Linktree link for ways to find our outlets of information at linktr.ee/ThisistheWayPod and please...leave us positive reviews only on your favorite podcast service. If that's not too much to ask, then perhaps subscribe to This is the Way Podcast, too! Coverage will resume with news and midseason coverage of The Bad Batch season two. It's Tuesday and Beard Laws and the Boys are back for the 114th time for Tik Tok Tuesday. This week on the TTT Show we have a story of a couple of friends who were just enjoying life and summer. Chilling down the lazy river enjoying the water, a nice day, and nature. Then nature called. The next thing you know you are popping in a lazy river with your best friend. We also have a Tik Tok video that shows the "perfect" response to May the Force Be With You. I'm not sure many people know how to answer this back. I know I apparently didn't. TTT Show is a podcast/live show where Beard Laws, Toby (tobynangel, theycallemetoby2), Yuban Whakinov, and Richard Tatum showcase the best TikTok videos all in one show. Beard Laws and the boys find videos and the amazing viewers submit them. It's October and Andor is halfway done. Somehow we've managed to still get a couple of news items out of it and as always, we keep tabs on collectors and gamers. It's the Disney Parks news that has us hoping someone manages to spark a rebellion. House of the Dragons and The Rings of Power both vacate the scene with season finales this month and that means Andor and Tales of the Jedi might get more eyes on screens. Star Wars content will always be king (emperor?) at This is the Way Podcast but we aren't silly enough to think that it's the only show in town. Sure we could get MORE Star Wars, but I'd rather Lucasfilm keep producing "Andor level quality" streaming television shows than...what we seemed to be getting in the other shows this year. [02:30] An eerie breath of woodwinds welcomes us to the treasure trove planet of Batuu. The lilt of a flute, an oboe, the unmistakable weight of a bassoon. [02:45] From the perspective of a rover, you might be tempted to leave the beige tones and mundane activities of this side of the galaxy in your dust…but oh, what secrets and stories lie within! Who could imagine, upon first or even second glance, that this could be the stomping grounds of the greatest Jedi for many moons? You've heard the phrase: “don't judge a book by its cover,” no doubt? Well, don't judge a planet by its junkyard. [03:38] Our mystical, orchestral interlude is broken by a jumble of otherworldly noises. We can discern the descent of a spaceship onto its tarmac, the Millennium Falcon, perhaps? [06:04] Droids chatter back and forth in their robotic, indiscernible way. Keep your eyes peeled for faithful R2D2, and BB-8 trailing after him with much enthusiasm. [07:20] In the distance, we hear the echoing roar of a Wookie, undoubtedly everyone's favorite co-pilot, Chewie. [10:32] It's not just friends wandering the Outpost; fiendish Forces are awake here on Batuu as well. Whether alerted to our presence or not remains to be seen. [10:53] For now, we are swept up in the commotion of barterers and traders, all moving with purpose as dusk descends on this corner of the galaxy. [16:14] It's hard not to feel the energy and power that this place embodies. Forces of nature live and move here, humble and quiet paradoxes to their relative strength and potential. The kinesis extends through the structures, the music, the wind whipping through alleyways and at the hems of Jedi robes. [18:37] Amidst the bustling and bristling of Black Spire Outpost, we are not alone in our nonchalant attempts to surreptitiously dodge random interrogation from a Stormtrooper. We blend in with our surroundings. [22:16] We are immersed in the stories that breathe from every orifice; even the stone walls seem to speak of legend. It is the Force, alive and breathing in the spirits of those of us who journey here, searching for enlightenment, a fantastical tale longing to be retold. [25:28] The Force is a source of energy and power, certainly, but we know that it is also a source of inner peace and serenity in equal measure. Balance is light and dark together, mayhem and mild in harmonious coexistence. [26:23] And what a peaceful moment we've found, as nightfall brings a whole new symphony of sounds, some familiar and some...intriguing. The chirp of crickets, unseen creatures calling into the night, the clang and grind of moonlit repairs on that scrap metal hunka junk parked at the center of the Outpost. [27:48] Every step we take turns our head in a new direction. Around corners, over our shoulder...what was that? This is the chaos of Batuu - the bated breath of the unknown, the galaxy reaching for some sense of tranquility before morning brings a new raucousness of its own. Come with us, be Here as we uncover its secrets and delight in all the details. [34:00] Hear the foreboding chime of midnight bells reverberating across the galaxy, a call to something, but what? Staccato percussions chill us to the bone, though we have no idea why. We are suddenly engaged in the space between the tangible and intangible, the everyday and the enchanting. [38:04] Not all is quiet on Batuu, even as the darkness presses in and the night lingers on. As we stand fascinated at this spiritual concerto we've stumbled upon, in another part of the Outpost is a late night celebration at Oga's, the local watering hole for an array of the most curious characters. [38:23] Loud music and light spill from inside as we approach; clearly the party inside is fin full swing. It is a technicolor affair, DJ'd by Rex, a droid that would probably be the life the party on any planet. Let's spend a few moments here, why not? Find yourself swaying in time to the bright jazz music as you sip on an iridescent libation. [41:45] Then it's back out into the mysterious night. [49:00] And so our journey through Galaxy's Edge is brought to a close, as night will surely surrender to first light soon enough. Thank you for wandering with us, for traveling to this galaxy far, far away. We hope you've enjoyed your time Here, that it's brought you excitement and joy and even a sense of peace, strange as it sounds. After all, the most unlikely places can be a respite from your everyday. Now light speed to tomorrow, and all the adventures it's sure to bring. Til' the Spire, and May the Force Be With You.

We discuss the betrayal of the Kaminoans by the Empire, the capture of Kaminoan scientists for future Imperial projects, and the destruction of the Kaminoan facilities by the Empire. We also discuss the similarity between what happened on Kamino to what happened to the planet of Geonosis - both planets and their citizens were essentially useful idiots for the Empire - when their usefulness expired, so did they. This is my final podcast episode. On top of that, I'm shocked how much of my backlog I had to delete just to upload this. I thought I had another week before it became a free account, but I was wrong. So the podcast is over, it fell apart, after years and years, if not half a decade of my hard work... and no one cared and no one will miss it at all :( I really wish I could have attracted an audience... it's all I've ever wanted from life. Good luck to anyone who sees this. Please seek me out at 99geek.ca I'm desperate for any work as a writer, I'm desperate for anyone to give me a chance... I'm scared I'm going to die alone and unfulfilled... and no one in the world will care. Live Long and Prosper, May the Force Be With You, Long Live Marceline the Vampire Queen, and remember that Kong bows to no one, but Godzilla is the King of All Monsters.

Welcome to 99% Geek presents a weekly geeky blog I am your host, and writer behind 99geek.ca Andrew Geczy. As primarily a fiction writer, releasing chapters of my books in weekly chunks on my Patreon like episodes of TV shows when I'm not trying to make ends meet in what feels like a poverty nightmare, I wanted my brand (99% Geek) to offer more than just my writing, pulling from my many interests and passions. I don't have much to offer in the way of talent, besides my writing, but I'm passionate about pop culture, and try to keep myself as up to date on politics, science, and art as I can. Being a huge TV nerd I run down the best shows of the week, go over all the major news headlines for people who have maybe gotten too tired to follow regular news breaking it down and explaining it for people who might feel unable to follow along, and before anything else I spotlight something cool and geeky for the week. Remember you can follow along by going to 99geek.ca This is Geekly Weekly Number 100 And this week's highlight is: Don't be bored ----------------------------------- My name is Andrew Geczy and my brand is 99% Geek found at 99geek.ca I'm a writer, writing monthly chapters of novels like episodes of TV shows, releasing them in 4 weekly segments (a teaser and three acts) on Mondays at noonish on my Patreon page. Every month it's a different book, over a range of genres, and they sometimes even crossover and connect. At the end of the month the finished chapter is added to the PDFs attached at the bottom of every post. Finally, the finished books are self-published on Amazon. There's a Dark Fantasy story about a post-apocalyptic world where powerful royals rule and enslave the remaining peoples struggling to survive on the last remaining land mass. There's also a sci-fi story about a people on a dying world who have built a ship to a new one, but their project is almost brought down by a terrorist organization within their own ranks. Finally there's a crossover story where characters from my other books are brought into the distant future where the princess of a far advanced civilization, one that lives in a solar system sized mega-structure around a Dyson Sphere, needs help defeating her twisted power-hungry brother. And all these stories will be outside the paywall for all to enjoy as new episodes release weekly, and the finished chapters will be attached to the bottom of every post on the site in convenient PDF format readable on computers, tablets, ebook readers, and phones at the end of the month. But that's not all my stories. There's also Urban Fantasy tales about a teenage girl turned into a vampire against her will, or a scorned lover investigating paranormal phenomena, or a journalist covering news and politics in the Middle East. And there's a fantasy story about a fallen angel trying to stop the end of the world. All these stories are published and available on Amazon, and are also safe and sound behind the paywall in PDF format attached to an archive at the top of my Patreon page. Only viewable by subscribers, my entire library of work, thousands of pages worth, is easily accessible to every subscriber at any level. There's even a "Geekly Weekly" blog which covers all the news you may have missed over the week, as well as ranks the week's worth of television, and makes predictions on what new pop culture things might be in the public consciousness for the next week. It releases every Saturday at noonish. Finally I do Video Game streams both multiplayer matchmaking as well as single player campaign playthroughs. You can see me play games like Final Fantasy, Call of Duty, Hitman, and more. Watch them as they happen at twitch.tv/wingcommanderIV or wait till I release the recorded videos on days when I have nothing else to release. And you can see it all in one place. So stay tuned, and maybe subscribe. It's only a dollar and the support you show will go a very long way, I promise. There are also higher tiers. Give 5 dollars one month and you can name a character, or location, or suggest a thing you might want to see. Basically you get to give a noun, and then I promise to incorporate that noun into one of my stories somehow. Maybe not the same month you give the suggestion, but within three months guaranteed. No matter how crazy, you can't sabotage me. I promise. Think of it like a fun improv game. And you can keep giving nouns, for every month you pay at the 5 dollar tier. Or if you give 10 dollars, you don't get two nouns, but you can give a description to go with your noun. Describe the personality of your character, or the look of your location, or the importance of your item. For 10 dollars you get a noun and a description. You can also give a dollar towards supporting my efforts at Video Game streaming, or my weekly blog if that's more where your interests lie. I'm as poor as it gets, living pay check to pay check (and sometimes starving). So I understand if you are too. I don't wanna take food out of your mouths. Your attention is enough. Say something, comment here or at the very least, follow me on Twitter @AndrewGeczy or Instagram @WingcommanderIV Remember to leave a review if you read one of my books, any reviews on Amazon/Goodreads or subscriptions here or comments on social media will just encourage more people to check out my work and allow me to grow. May fourth is the day Star Wars nerds rejoice! “May the fourth be with you” in pop culture is the holiday that we all celebrate the impact the galaxy far, far away has on so many of us. At the core of the hero's journey reimagined is a phrase first spoken by Obi-Wan, “May the Force Be With You.” Hearing this phrase for the first time is a bit cheesy. But once you have a deeper understanding of the broader context, it connects you to an in-group. Think about it this way: A phrase has now morphed into a play on words to be celebrated on the day. Now let's rewind time and go back to the 1970s before George Lucas or anyone had any idea what Star Wars would become. Go up to an Episcopalian and say "May the Force Be With You," and we're gonna respond, "And also with you!" We're between seasons 2 and 3, here at Comic Belief, but we didn't want May the Fourth to go by unobserved. We sat down and used this tool to sort out which movies we'd prefer to watch (and you can too!): https://sorta.app/q/1023 and then we sat down to share them and record it live. This is a quicker and lighter romp through a lot of Star Wars memories, with us going over what we think makes the films in our list good, bad, and ugly, with a healthy dash of where the spirituality of the films seems to come out. Because, even on a break, we ARE Comic Belief, after all! The Fourth will be with you. Always. Well. Today.

Remember you can follow along by going to 99geek.ca This is Geekly Weekly Number 96 And this week's highlight is: Next Gen Consoles ----------------------------------- My name is Andrew Geczy and my brand is 99% Geek found at 99geek.ca I'm a writer, writing monthly chapters of novels like episodes of TV shows, releasing them in 4 weekly segments (a teaser and three acts) on Mondays at noonish on my Patreon page. I can't do it without your efforts. That's three different ways you can help. Write reviews on any site that lets you, subscribe here for as low as a dollar, or at the very least use your voice to let me and the world know you like what you read here. Live Long and Prosper, May the Force Be With You, Long Live Marceline the Vampire Queen, remember that Kong bows to no one, but Godzilla is King of all Monsters. We are the 99% geek.

For some reason, they never continued their coverage... until now. Re-presenting a conversation that first aired in September 2015 on Dead Bothan Spies: A Star Wars Podcast, Ryan and Kyle cover "Ulic Qel-Droma and the Beast Wars of Onderon" from Tales of the Jedi #1 and #2. Acclaimed writer & director (and Star Wars fan numero uno) Patrick Read Johnson once again joins Todd for the 34th episode of our podcast and the boys talk about - you guessed it - that little movie called The Last Jedi. Patrick gives his unique insight into Rian's film, including its divisive nature within the fanbase, and offers up some strong opinions as to why this may be. Also discussed is Mark Hamill's performance as the legendary Jedi Master Luke Skywalker, why the ending was the perfect sendoff to the hero we've all grown up with, and a tiny bit about the upcoming Solo, A Star Wars Story. And of course, Patrick gives us all an update on his wonderful film 5-25-77, which is looking at a wider release in late spring / early summer. Last but not least, the 'May the 4's Be With You' topic for this week is the top four Star Wars stories we want to see make it onto the screen. Oh, and there's a Roger Corman mention! ~Enjoy, and May the Force Be With You!

The boys discuss and review the state of Star Wars collecting in 2017 and look ahead to what we might expect in 2018 and beyond given the fact we have the Solo standalone film in May and then zilch for 19 months (gasp!). Covering the hits and misses this past year, mainly focusing on Hasbro and Funko, the duo aims to catch everyone up-to-speed on where we are at and speculate on what they hope will happen during said long dry spell... Guess what's covered in this installment of May the Fours Be With You?? Yep, our top four collectibles of 2017! Finally, The Last Jedi is discussed in detail, and we get Eric's views on the film and fandom since he didn't participate in the TLJ roundup/review podcast with the rest of the Dork Side crew! And yes, we know Todd states this is episode 33 during the podcast..... We just can't have a flawless show now can we ;-). ~May the Force Be With You!
