SHOWS showed up to the pod before a Dear Blanca practice last week ahead of their tour with the Sloppy boys. A few weeks ago Daniel Machado texted me and said he had a new band with Marshall Brown on bass and Michael Crawford on drums. We haven't talked much over the past few years, so it was great to catch up with Daniel and the guys. We talked about Creed, and from there dove into Daniel's new music, a rock, guitar, based venture. This one might feel more like an eavesdrop. The synth sounds of Michael Gutshall (keys, drums, guitar, vocals) and Smith Austin (bass, percussion, vocals), started in 2019 and have grown into their sound over the next four years. Aaron Burke stopped by the studio on a Sunday afternoon in December before an evening of rehearsals with his live band for his new record. His new release under the Aaron J. Burke title is called "Young Pier Jumpers," a sprawling work written over the past three years.
