Op de straat in het Rotterdamse Katendrecht draaide alles om geld en status. Dat zag Martin als klein kind al. Als tiener maakte hij naam in een gewelddadige wereld. Hij pleegde dagelijks ripdeals op drugshandelaren en gewapende overvallen. Lang wist hij weg te komen, tot hij op zijn negentiende een forse straf opgelegd kreeg. Grüne fordernEin Kommentar von Paul Clemente.Spätestens seit Corona ist klar: Wenn Forscher ihr Wissen zum Dogma erheben, verwandelt es sich in Ideologie. Für wahre Wissenschaft gilt nämlich: Jegliche Erkenntnis ist Provisorium, ein Arbeitsmodell, das regelmäßig auf den Prüfstand gehört. Das ständiger Korrektur bedarf. Wer sich dem entzieht, ist kein Wissenschaftler mehr.Die Stunde solcher Ideologen schlug in der Covid-Ära. Ihr Merkmal: Sie mieden jede Diskussion mit kritischen Kollegen. Während Propaganda-Medien die totale Unterwerfung verlangten, den Mythos der unfehlbaren Autorität reanimierten. Jeder Zweifel daran wurde als „unwissenschaftlich“ gebrandmarkt. Mit an vorderster Front: Grünen-Politiker wie Janosch Dahmen. Deren Forderungen: Masken, Iso-Haft und Impfzwang, das ganze Paket. Wer darüber am meisten lachte? Big Pharma natürlich. Und jetzt, drei Jahre später, haben Pharma-Riesen neuen Grund zum Jubeln:Denn am vergangenen Freitag, auf dem Parteitag in Hannover, haben die Grünen beschlossen: Nie wieder Homöopathie als Kassenleistung. Nieder mit den weißen Kügelchen. Globuli-Verbot für alle Krankenkassen. - Das mag ältere Bürger irritieren: Besaßen die Grünen doch in ihrer Gründungszeit, vor 45 Jahren, ein Monopol auf alles, was irgendwie „alternativ“ klang: Bio-Nahrung beispielsweise, inzwischen zum oralen Hipster-Fetisch avanciert. Sogar die Taz startete 1978 als alternative Tageszeitung. Lang ist's her. Ja, die Grünen waren eine Friedenspartei, die sogar Exzentriker wie Josef Beuys anzog. Von diesem Wählerstamm samt seiner Themen hat die Partei sich restlos befreit. Eines der letzten Fossilien fand man in der grünen Gesundheitspolitik: Die Homöopathie. Nun kam es zur endgültigen Liquidierung: Nie wieder Homöopathie als Kassenleistung. Zur Begründung wurde einmal mehr der „wissenschaftliche Konsens“ bemüht: Abgesehen vom Placebo-Effekt sei keine Wirkung homöopathischer Medikamente nachzuweisen. Ganz neu ist dieser Vorstoß allerdings nicht. Bereits 2020 forderte der grüne Bundesvorstand: Gesetzliche Krankenkassen sollten Homöopathie nur gegen Extratarife anbieten. Mit anderen Worten: Wer sich Privatversicherung oder Extratarife leisten kann, hat das Privileg der Wahl. Der Rest muss Big Pharma-Produkte konsumieren. Aber selbst der Privilegien-Tarif ging manchem Grünen nicht weit genug: Laut Antrag soll die Solidargemeinschaft„nicht für Therapien aufkommen, deren Wirksamkeit über den Placebo-Effekt hinaus wissenschaftlich nicht belegt ist."Dass die vollständige Streichung der Homöopathie ausgerechnet jetzt vollzogen wurde, ist kaum Zufall: Erst vor zwei Wochen hatte der Virologe Hendrik Streeck vorgeschlagen: Man solle hochbetagte Patienten nicht länger mit teuren Medikamenten quälen. Da könnten Kassen die Erstattung gern mal weglassen… Genau da zeigt sich eine Parallele: Ob Erstattungs-Stopp für Homöopathie oder Behandlungs-Aus für alte Menschen – in beiden Fällen gilt: Weg mit dem mündigen Patienten. Wir wissen doch besser, was für Dich gut ist.Ohnehin sei die Erstattung homöopathischer Therapie für manche Kassen bloß ein Trick, eine Marketing-Aktion, während für „evidenzbasierte“ Leistungen der Zaster oft fehle. Schlimmer noch: Unwirksame Behandlungen schädigten die Patienten. Aber: Wenn die Kassen sie erstatten, könnten Ahnungslose das als offizielle Anerkennung missdeuten. Eine unnötige Verwirrung.Auch der Einwand, dass Homöopathie durch Erfahrungswissen gedeckt sei, stieß am Grünen Parteitag auf wenig Gegenliebe. Ein Berliner Delegierter konterte: „Erfahrungswissen war auch die Basis für Aderlass oder von Quecksilber gegen Syphilis." This lecture explores the provocative question: Can magic stop wars? Drawing on historical and cross-cultural sources, we examine how rituals and spells have been used not merely as private acts of devotion but as technologies of politics, resistance, and reconciliation. From the Assyrian Maqlû tablets and Egyptian execration rites, to the Wiccan “Cone of Power” against Hitler and the modern #MagicResistance movement, we uncover how ritual has been mobilised to defend rulers, resist tyranny, and shape the course of events.The lecture also turns to reconciliation practices such as the Acholi Mato Oput in Uganda, Hawaiian ho‘oponopono, and Arab-Islamic sulha, showing how communities have ritualised the difficult work of forgiveness and the transformation of enmity. By analysing these cases, we see how ritual externalises conflict into material or symbolic form, such as burned effigies, bitter drinks, and shared meals, so that violence can be reframed, managed, or dissolved.CONNECT & SUPPORT

The entire affair revolves around one man, Jake Lang, who is attempting to start an "America Against Islamification" movement in Dearborn. So far several clashes have been reported between Lang's group and residents.Analyst Comment: Jake Lang doesn't live in Dearborn, he lives in New York. He's also currently running for office in Florida, and attempting to unseat Ashley Moody from her Senate seat in 2026.Indiana: More details have come to light regarding a fatal traffic accident that occurred on I-65 in Boone County over the weekend. Goderdzi Gujabidze was driving a pickup truck hauling another vehicle on a trailer when he collided with a National Guard convoy. His truck collided with one HMMWV, killing one Guardsman, and wounding the three other soldiers inside the vehicle. Gujabidze was arrested by ICE on Monday, as he is an illegal immigrant from the nation of Georgia.-----END TEARLINE-----Analyst Comments: In Congress, the bill to force the release of Epstein documents passed in the House and the Senate, and is expected to become law once signed by President Trump.As a reminder, President Trump has already mandated the release of these documents several times. In the world of classified documents, the President is an Original Classification Authority (OCA) so any documents that are classified for national security purposes always have been able to be released, so Congressional involvement was unnecessary. Additionally, the Binder Incident from just a few months ago cannot be forgotten either; this entire affair was already settled and allegedly on Pam Bondi's desk months ago. Now, every politician in the country is acting like we're examining this scandal for the first time.At least now, those protecting the Epstein clients are being a bit more honest. Rep. Mike Johnson stated that when more files are released, the documents will be heavily redacted, saying that "We can't release the full Epstein files without redactions due to National Security concerns" and that they need to "make sure we don't do permanent damage to the political system" by releasing the files. This of course led to the immediate assumption being that the Epstein network presenting national security concerns means that powerful elites are indeed implicated, and the US government will protect them to prevent the government from collapsing. Or at least, that's the current narrative that is now the official position of Congress and the White House.This afternoon, AG Bondi stated that a new investigation is ongoing, which will limit the release of most of what Congress just passed. Congress cannot order a federal agency to release documents pertaining to an ongoing investigation, so an ongoing investigation has miraculously materialized. Het afgelopen jaar is femicide steeds hoger op de agenda gekomen, maar aan de moord op vrouwen gaat vaak veel vooraf: stalking, bedreigingen, herhaald huiselijk geweld. Zelfs wanneer daarvan aangifte wordt gedaan, belandt de zaak niet altijd bij een rechter. Slachtoffers kunnen dan in beroep gaan via een artikel-12-procedure, waarin een gerechtshof beoordeelt of het OM alsnog moet vervolgen. Maar die procedures vinden achter gesloten deuren plaats. Onderzoeksplatform Investico kreeg uitzonderlijk inzage in deze zaken van het gerechtshof Amsterdam. Ook zij wilden begrijpen hoe dit proces werkt, wat er precies gebeurt en of er patronen zichtbaar worden. Het onderzoek werd uitgevoerd door Jolanda van de Beld, Belia Heilbron en Bobby Uilen, in samenwerking met RTL. Er klinkt al langer kritiek op de manier waarop Nederland huiselijk geweld afhandelt.
