In lieu of sickle cell disease awareness month , we explore what genotype is and how to know what your genotype is!! Choosing to be in love or choosing your genotype over love !!! Consider these questions before marrying or having a child with someone who may have an incompatible Genotype with yours. ➡️Do you know the choice you make might be the difference between your child being born with a disease or not? ➡️Do you know even if it's only one of your many children that ends up having the disease, that one child doesn't deserve to be subjected to a life of pain especially when it is your choice to make?

Sickle cell disease is an inherited blood disorder. It is marked by flawed hemoglobin. That's the protein in red blood cells that carries oxygen to the tissues of the body. So, sickle cell disease interferes with the delivery of oxygen to the tissues. It is a major genetic disease in the entire African region. Let's discuss more and educate the public about the many ways of helping Africa with a better health care system!!!
I am super excited to launch our podcast! We will be sharing with you all things our organization is up to and answer some questions as well as educate, enlighten & impact.
Sickle cell disease is a chronic disease that affects many black communities. One of the ways to avoid it altogether is to be informed on taking blood & genotype tests prior to sexual activity that's meant for conception & birth. The blood test will reveal the sickle cell status that will help you make an informed decision on whether to have children together especially if both tests come out as SS( sickle cell disease ) +SS! Therefore, it is strongly advised against because 100% chances of having a child with a full blown out sickle cell disease is very high when it could have been avoided! It can be very sad if you love your partner and then have to let them go because of this. But remember the pain of the future in raising that child together while you both are struggling to stay physically & mentally strong too! Please help Let's Create Together Foundation to continue to help & educate the public about these options by donating on our website www.letscreatenow.org.
