065 | Jen Bishop - The Power of Homeopathy to Rebalance Energy + Restore Wellbeing

Soul Inspired Gurl

I've been eagerly waiting to have this conversation about the power of homeopathy to heal, expand, restore and upgrade health and life expression.   Today I have Jen Bishop on the podcast.    Jen is an Intuitive Healer who is trained in Homeopathy and Reiki - and a graduate of the Canadian College of Homeopathic Medicine.   In this episode we talk about: What is homeopathy and how Jen came to have homeopathy in her life. Laura's experience with homeopathy and how it has become a twenty + year relationship with the extraordinary power of homeopathy to heal. How homeopathy actually works and how remedies are made. The kinds of questions a homeopath may ask to be able to properly prescribe the most appropriate homeopathic remedy to "match" your symptom picture. The importance of considering the broader context - not just one area of the body - when considering how homeopathy can best support your healing journey. The difference between acute and chronic. Emotions and illness both having a specific energy and frequency. How storing unresolved emotions in the body leading to imbalances and physical symptoms. Working with a chronic state of sympathetic dominance in the body -- "fight or flight" energy that has become increasingly common in society. Homeopathy as an ART and a SCIENCE. Homeopathic remedies acting as tuning forks or providing information to trick the body into thinking it is at the wellness point. Homeopathy supporting mental health and emotional symptoms. The origins of Homeopathy and Samuel Hahnemann's initial work.  Peruvian bark inducing malaria-like symptoms in Hahnemann's body. Minor aggravations often seen as positive by homeopaths. Stimulating, supporting, and being in union with the body's natural healing processes. Remedies bringing the body back to its natural balance.   Noteable Quotes:   "On The Origins of Homeopathic Medicine: 'Homeopathic medicine is fascinating because it's considered energy medicine because it has no molecular value left of the crude substance it is made from.'"— Jen Bishop    On The Importance of Listening to Your Body: "The body only has one way to communicate with us, and that is through symptoms."— Jen Bishop    On Homeopathy vs. Western Medicine: "With homeopathy, you really are bringing a new energy to the body and a new, healthier, more balanced energy to the body."— Jen Bishop   On The Balance of Healing: "I really, truly believe that we are already healed. We have what we need within ourselves. But really, what if healing is more about balance than anything else?"— Jen Bishop   On The Energy of Anxiety: "I feel like it's something that's happening in the world energetically, where there's a lot of fight or flight energy, which I've experienced in my life and done a lot of work on, and it's coming to the surface for a lot of people at the moment."— Jen Bishop   On The Power of Homeopathy in Healing Mental Health: "So homeopathy is a beautiful thing, and it's capable of a lot of stuff, especially in mental health and especially with mental emotional symptoms. But it is, again, just a piece of the puzzle to support you in your well being."— Jen Bishop   On The Beauty of Homeopathy: "But this is the beauty of what I know about homeopathy is that gap, that space, that opening that it creates for you is an opening for you to walk through. And without that tap on the shoulder and that opening, it's sometimes difficult to find that space to walk."— Laura Foster    On The Healing Process: "Often times our symptoms, aka signals, are actually healing signals... so much of what goes on in the body is actually signs of healing already occurring."— Laura Foster   On The Power of a Holistic Approach: "The humans in my practice who had a holistic full body approach to how they support their body always got better. Often got better, faster or more completely because everything was working together."— Laura Foster    Timestamp: 00:00:57] Kelowna inspiring, incredible place; passionate about homeopathy. [00:05:05] Samuel Hahnemann used Peruvian bark for malaria. [00:07:10] Distance from substance affects its strength. [00:12:36] Matching medicine to patients: head to toe. [00:14:47] Listening to your body's symptoms is crucial. [00:17:16] Illness as energy: art of homeopathy. [00:23:40] Healing is about balance, not imbalance. [00:27:07] Healing signals often misunderstood, natural body processes. [00:28:57] Body heats up, kills off, balances itself. [00:33:15] Homeopathy explores connection between emotions and physical health. [00:36:42] Chronic state requires more than one remedy. [00:39:13] "Collective energy, nervous system response, Joe Dispenza." [00:45:00] Instant homeopathy provides magical relief for ailments. [00:45:52] Migraine sufferer finds 80% relief after treatment. [00:49:58] Free homeopathic treatment provided in slums. Affordable, effective, and long-lasting medicine.   More About Jen Bishop:   Jen Bishop in an Intuitive Healer who is trained in Homeopathy and Reiki. AKASHI MEDIA PODCAST LIVE with VARIETY CHENEVERT Podcast host investigates the emergency assistance that's supposed to be given to homeless individuals throughout the USA. Particularly the state of California where agencies such as LAHSA has it on their website that FEMA is financing the disaster. A City official confirmed that the agency St. Joseph that is supposed to receive their financing from St. Joseph and that they had been approved through LAHSA to find the homeless a place to live and put them in hotel and motel rooms but their are many homeless people that ended back out on the streets and never received a place to live or relocation assistance for a place to live. Relocation assistance was supposed to be given if you lived in a car, park, beach, place to place whether you were single or have a family. The supposedly St. Joseph staff came to the Albott Kinney Park in Venice, CA and asked Variety Chenevert while in her tent for her personal information such as her name and last four digits of her social security number and they took of picture and scanned her photo to personnel at St. Joseph staff and Mental Health employees at the Cadillac Hotel in Venice, CA where her uncle Sri owns and gifted to her as a child. She went to the Cadillac Hotel with the posed St. Joseph staff employees by SUV a few blocks to her hotel and when she got there is no hotel employees at the front desk like they are at ALL her other PATEL relatives who owns over 90% of hotels in USA. In the lobby there are just so-called medical people from Los Angeles County Mental Health with no bade or name tags that take your temperature, other employees from two other agencies from Downtown Los Angeles Chrysalis and St. Joseph who was supposed to be local in Venice, CA on Rose and Lincoln. But they said they didn't have their own office. But COVID-19 mandate is over and these people are still in her hotel as if they squatted out the place. No inspections have been done or any updates to the hotel to restore it to it's normal state of cleanings such as carpets and exterior etc. The phones are missing in the rooms that were left there by Sri for the hotel guest to use to call the front desk and relatives and friends. Variety Chenevert reached out to City officials regarding COVID 19 and asked if St. Joseph was approved to be placed in their hotel for Project RoomKey which dissolved last year 2021 or extended to Spring of 2022 and then dissolved in May and the city official said no they were not approved. Nor were they on LAHSA list of approved organizations for funding. Last year Sri was arrested for supposedly shooting a homeless African-American but he was jailed, post bail and case dropped. A security guard who supposedly worked at the Cadillac Hotel shot the homeless male because Sri the hotel owner told him to. Variety Chenevert finds that hard to believe because their family are the Patels who owns 90% of motels and hotels in USA and many in California and the Cadillac hotel has been helping homeless and less fortunate people for many years since the 1940's and her the first SRO single room occupancy. Her grandfather Kanijibha Desai started the hospitality industry in America who was a India Gujarati immigrant who left India and lived in Kenya Africa and her family are Kenyans and Moors from India are mixed Kenyan, India Indian, Nigerians and Ghanian who came to USA and resided in San Francisco and San Diego, Ohio and Detroit. Variety Chenevert is currently searching for the whereabouts of her Uncle Sri because he has not been seen nor is his staff at the hotel like All the other PATEL original staff still at other motels and hotels that participated in the COVID 19 Project RoomKey. Variety Chenevert is the only family member of Sri at Cadillac Hotel on the 4th floor in room 403. Jenn Drummond doesn't let much stop her from achieving her goals. Having all of her climbing gear not show up for a climb was a mere inconvenience for this 41-year-old mother of seven children. Jenn is on a mission to be the first female climber to summit the so-called Second Seven Summits. We are all familiar with the first seven, and around 500 people have accomplished that goal. Still, only a handful have completed the 2nd, and no females. I met Jenn via my Summit Coach consulting business almost two years ago. She called me to discuss climbing Ama Dablam, which she did a few months later. Jenn is unique. An accomplished businesswoman, now retired, mother of seven, ranging in age from nine to 15, including twin daughters. She is an avid skier, triathlete, and played college soccer. We had a wide-ranging conversation about how the idea was born, her children, and how she manages the complexities of being away so often, and of course, some of the climbs got started. She has completed five of the seven and hopes to finish them all this year, 2022, with Canada's Mt. Logan up next. You can follow Jenn on her social media at Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and her website. The 7 Summits Dick Bass, the first 7 Summiter, choose Australia as one of the seven continents and Kosciuszko as its mainland high point. However, Canadian Pat Morrow, competing with Bass to finish the 7, challenged Bass's summit of Australia's Mt. Kosciuszko as the highest peak in Oceania. Morrow contended that Carstensz Pyramid on Irian Jaya (Papua) in Indonesia's New Guinea was the actual highpoint for the Australasian continental mass. Italian Reinhold Messner jumped in and agreed with Morrow. Today Carstensz is considered one of the seven. Still, some 7 Summiteers try to bag the lower Kosciuszko to meet both the Bass and the Messner lists. The 1st Seven Summits are: Everest, Nepal - 29,035/8850m Aconcagua, Argentina - 22,902/6960m Denali, Alaska - 20,320/6194m Kilimanjaro, Africa - 19,340/5896m Elbrus, Russia - 18,513/5642m Vinson, Antarctica - 16,067/4897m Mt. In today's episode, I interview a new friend of mine I met on an Airplane ride from New York to Los Angeles. She is an award-winning film Director & Producer for her recent Documentary film, $30 Dollars to Antartica. We discuss how traveling the world can inspire filmmaking and vice-versa, along with how listening & learning go hand & hand. I’m really excited to present this completely impromptu episode. Literally, a few hours after getting to know one another on the plane, we recorded this interview with only 45 minutes until landing. Please pardon the Airplane sound quality and enjoy my conversation with Miss Joey Chu. @__joeychu   Show Notes: [00:50] Tony talks about Martin Scorsese’s The Irishman Wrap Party in New York.   [6:43] Interview starts  [8:56] Joey’s quick bio - how she found documentary filmmaking and was inspired by locals from Kenya Africa  [15:00] Writing/journaling for reference. Sunday afternoon, July 7, 2013,  I was with journalists at the Zanzibar international Film Festival where the Dhow countries are celebrated and its people united in a shared legacy connected by land and more importantly sea, the Indian Ocean. We spoke about journalism in the region and specifically new media, such as Internet radio and social networking media like Twitter and Facebook, Linkedin and so on. The workshop went well, but there was no Internet so I was unable to broadcast live that day as planned. I am uploading the interview with Screen Writer & Director: Jinna Mutune whose film LEO screened yesterday afternoon. Tonight is closing night at ZIFF. Believe it or not, the sun is setting and it is almost 7 p.m. (obviously written that day.) LEO is a charming and beguiling adult fairy-tale set in Nairobi, a Metropolitan City in Kenya that is a melting pot of East African culture, art, politics and commerce. It is a story about Maasai boy, raised in a low-income home, achieving his dream against all odds. LEO  is a simple story that captures the essence of a child's heart still open to all the posssibilities of achieving his dream in “Kenya” Africa. Executive Producers are: Chris Kirubi, Bernard Wambugu; Julian Kyula, Donald Gichane; Producer: Paul Masinde.
