Do you find yourself getting defensive when a client is upset with you, or when someone expresses hostility? Learn to handle hostility in a way that avoids defensiveness and nurtures your client relationships. When confronted with a client who is expressing hostility, always reflect what you have heard, verbatim if possible, in a neutral tone. Apologize if there is something to apologize for. Do you just "wing it" before an important presentation? Learn how you can effectively prepare for your presentations to make yourself more compelling and convincing. Do some research on your audience and understand who you're speaking to. Arrive early to where you are speaking to become familiar with the environment. Speak to your audience beforehand to see what is happening for them that day. Anticipate what you might be asked in advance. Use straightforward language and think about your audience beforehand. Also the Wonder Woman and Superman pose can help to perform in advance. It can help to reframe nerves to excitement, and actually say that aloud to yourself.
