If you've ever felt like you need more confidence before you start selling, this episode will completely shift your perspective. In this powerful training, Ray Higdon breaks down why waiting to feel confident is actually the very thing holding you back in sales. Instead of chasing confidence, he reveals the truth that confidence is built through action, repetition, and real-world experience, not overthinking or perfectionism. Ray dives into one of the biggest mistakes sales professionals and entrepreneurs make, spending too much time trying to "get it right" before ever having enough conversations. He emphasizes that success in sales is not about talent, but about repetitions. Through compelling examples and real stories, including someone who faced hundreds of rejections before succeeding, he shows how consistent outreach, prospecting, and conversations are the real drivers of confidence and results. If you want to improve your sales skills, close more deals, and build unshakable confidence in your sales conversations, this episode gives you a simple but powerful strategy. Stop waiting, start doing. The more people you talk to, the more confident and successful you'll become. ⸻ —

We've all heard of the 5 Love Languages, but are they the relationship cheat code we've been promised… or just really good marketing? In this episode of Get Psyched, we're getting into the dark side of pop psychology and unpacking the love languages phenomenon with a little more nuance (and a lot more honesty). From premarital counseling experiences to the ways these frameworks can accidentally reinforce not-so-great behavior, we're pulling back the curtain on what's helpful… and what's hype.Amy shares her firsthand experience using love languages and other relationship assessments in premarital counseling, and where things started to feel a little too boxed-in. We explore the limitations of labeling how we give and receive love, the lack of inclusivity in these models, and why they're not exactly rooted in hard science.Today, we explore:

How can we better incorporate prophetic messages in our lives, while also using them to bless the lives of those we love? In this episode, Scott C. Esplin, dean of Religious Education at BYU, discusses his article "Department and Individual Efforts to Amplify Prophetic Messages," coauthored with Brad Streeter, Rory Bigelow, Aaron Shumway, and David Peck. Drawing on a panel presentation from the 2024 Church Educational System Religious Educators Conference, Dean Esplin explores how religious educators can more faithfully emphasize and transmit the teachings of living prophets. Responding to counsel from Elder Clark G. Gilbert, the panel framed gospel teaching through the metaphor of an amplifier, namely prophetic messages serve as the input, educators function as the amplifier, and students receive the output. Further, Dean Esplin explains that prophets teach with clarity, repetition, and inspired emphasis, centering their messages on Jesus Christ, covenant belonging, and revealed priorities for our time. Ultimately, gospel teachers succeed when they faithfully proclaim the Lord's words and invite learners, through the Spirit, to hear and act. Ever walk into a room where you feel like an outsider? That happened to me last night. Sitting around a table with people who could quote chapter and verse while I barely knew where to start, I had a choice — shrink back or step up. What came out of that moment was a reminder of something I've taught for years about how people actually change their minds. If you've ever tried to persuade anyone of anything — a customer, a kid, a spouse — today's episode hands you the key. Press play and let's dig in. Featured Story Last night I sat down with my small group — a Bible study I got talked into because my son-in-law Joel called it "a discussion." Sneaky. I don't know the book the way these folks do. I've barely read it. So there I was, waiting for the Bible nerds to ace me with questions I couldn't answer. Then something shifted. I looked around the table and realized it was just people. Younger, older, families, jobs. Just people. The room went quiet, and I had to decide — sit in my discomfort or open my mouth. You know me. I opened my mouth. And what I said next surprised even me. Important Points When you feel like the underdog in a room, someone else feels even more out of place than you do. Speak up anyway. People don't change their minds because of facts. They change because of experience — layered, real, memorable. Every interaction today is shaping somebody's beliefs — whether you're walking in aware or asleep at the wheel. Memorable Quotes When you feel out of place in a room, I can promise you, someone else there feels more out of place than you do. If something's working out, don't break it. Just stick with it. And if it's not working out, you'll part anyway. Everything you do today is an experience. And every experience forms somebody's belief system — yours and theirs. Scott's Three-Step Approach Stop arguing facts. Remember you're dealing with a person whose beliefs came from experience, not information. Build a multilayered experience next — multiple touches, emotions, and moments packed into one window of time. Let that experience do the work. New beliefs reshape their values and, eventually, the identity they walk in with. Chapters 0:15 - Slipping into an old pair of comfortable Levi's 1:29 - Sticking around at a church for two and a half years 3:16 - Sneaky invitation to a Bible study small group 5:34 - Realizing they're just people around the table 8:12 - Where your beliefs, values, and identity come from 11:58 - Thirty experiences in one night, dating my wife 13:07 - Every interaction forms somebody's beliefs Connect With Me Search for the Daily Boost on YouTube, Apple Podcasts, and Spotify If you enjoy the Daily Boost, you might like Notes From Scott. We are back with another breastfeeding-only Q&A episode. In today's conversation, we respond to several listener questions related to nursing, sleep, and fertility after breastfeeding. One mother who is co-sleeping with her 15-month-old, who wakes three to five times per night to nurse, asks how she can help her toddler sleep longer stretches without abruptly stopping breastfeeding. Another listener with a 4.5-month-old who has never taken a bottle is planning to attend a bachelorette party when her baby will be about nine months old and asks how best to prepare. We also hear from a mother who recently weaned her two-year-old and then experienced a very early miscarriage, often called a chemical pregnancy, and wonders whether she should consider hormonal support before trying to conceive again. As for our Quickies: Is it concerning if a 12-week-old drops slightly on the growth curve while still gaining weight, what the issue is with the Boppy pillow for breastfeeding, and can you continue breastfeeding while taking antibiotics for mastitis? We also discuss healing cracked nipples after a tongue-tie release, whether milk will come in normally if you breastfeed during pregnancy, and whether lactation cookies or brewer's yeast actually increase supply. As also cover oversupply with a second baby, postpartum chills when milk comes in, storing breast milk and keeping pump parts clean on long drives, preventing recurrent mastitis from oversupply, whether a mild tongue tie should be released if breastfeeding is going well, what a “nursing holiday” is and whether it can help supply and latch, and how to help a bottle-fed newborn latch to the breast.Just us on Patreon for our upcoming all-Quickies episode, exclusive to patrons-only.Controversial article we discussed in this episode:My Decision Not to Breastfeed with Elise Hewitt#239 | The Cost of Breastfeeding Versus Formula Feeding with Dr. Rhonda Trust, PhD**********Send us Fan Mail Needed

Today's readings.. (Numbers 33), (Proverbs 24), (John 6) The book of Numbers now tells us of Moses giving his final instructions to the people – as the LORD directed him. The people had completed their 40 years of wandering in the wilderness, all the unfaithful had died and now their children under the leadership of faithful Joshua together with Caleb and the faithful Levites would cross the Jordan and enter the promised land. It occurs to us that there is a parallel in this to what is to soon occur when Christ establishes his world-wide kingdom. Think about this. The LORD tells Moses as they are “by the Jordan at Jericho, saying, ‘Speak to the people of Israel and say to them, When you pass over the Jordan … then you shall drive out all the inhabitants of the land from before you and destroy all their figured stones and destroy all their metal images and demolish all their high places.” [Ch. 33 v.50-52]Similarly, when God sends Jesus back to this earth it will be a time of “punishing the world for its evil, and the wicked for their iniquity” [Isaiah 13 v.11], but it will also surely be a time of removing all the things that people “worship” today – the things which are a modern equivalent of what the Canaanites had built and worshipped! Some of the things that will no longer exist are obvious; the Casino's and gaming houses for example. If TV, DVDs and the like are to continue to be available, there will be a huge purging of the things in them that pander to fleshly thinking and doing.. Jesus said, “The Son of Man will send his angels, and they will gather out of his kingdom all causes of sin” [Matt. 13 v.41]. When the people of Israel entered the promised land initially they were full of zeal and destroyed cities like Jericho, but they failed to complete the work and so the warning of Moses we read today came true. That which they “let remain, shall be as barbs and thorns in your side and they shall trouble you” [v.55].It is obvious, with Christ in control as the King of the world, this will not happen in his kingdom. We need to make sure we develop a mindset now that will welcome and fully appreciate a cleansed earth. Pollution will be removed from the physical earth and also the things that pollute human minds. Concerning the future Jerusalem God told Jeremiah, “I will bring to it health and healing … this city shall be to me a name of joy, a praise and a glory before all the nations of the earth” [Ch.33 v.6,9] How wonderful to be there! Don't you think so?

James 4:11-12 (NASB) 11 Do not speak against one another, brothers and sisters. The one who speaks against a brother or sister, or judges his brother or sister, speaks against the law and judges the law; but if you judge the law, you are not a doer of the law but a judge of it. 12 There is only one Lawgiver and Judge, the One who is able to save and to destroy; but who are you, judging your neighbor? It is serious sin against God to speak against or stand in judgement over others. 1) The Command(s) – 4:11a (& b) 2) The Reasons for the Command(s) – 4:11b-12

We talked once on this podcast about the pause before a lie. That episode, "Pause Before the Lie," examined the 200-millisecond hesitation that researchers have measured in the human voice when a speaker is about to say something untrue. I argued that the pause was proof of consciousness caught between realities, and that the hesitation itself might be the most human thing about us. Today I want to talk about a different pause. A longer one. One that has nothing to do with lying and everything to do with freedom. Somewhere in the last forty-eight hours, you started to type something and stopped. A sentence composed itself in your head, and you swallowed it. The thought of attending an event, visiting a website, searching a phrase flickered through your mind, and then it went dark. God is still speaking—but are we listening? In this message from 1 Samuel 3, Pastor Rob explores how to recognize the voice of God, respond with obedience and grow in a deeper, more personal relationship with Him. When we learn to say, “Speak, Lord, your servant is listening,” it can transform everything.
Friends of the Rosary,Alleluia! Christ is Risen!Today, April 12, is the Sunday of Divine Mercy, the Octave Day of Easter. We meditate upon the mystery of God's mercy, the greatest of the attributes and perfections of God, and a gift to humanity, as St. John Paul II wrote in Dives in misericordia.Overwhelmed by the power of evil, selfishness, and fear, the world needs to understand and accept Divine Mercy. The Risen Lord, the Living Christ, offers His love that pardons, reconciles, gives peace, and converts hearts to love.We need to repeat: Jesus, we believe in You, I trust in You, have mercy upon us and upon the whole world. On Good Friday, 1937, Jesus requested that St. Faustina make a special Divine Mercy Novena. Jesus also asked that a picture be painted according to His vision as the fountain of mercy. He gave her a Chaplet of Divine Mercy to be recited and said that it was appropriate to pray the chaplet at three o'clock each afternoon (the Hour of Great Mercy).Saint Faustina, a Sister of Mercy in Poland who initiated the Divine Mercy devotion, received the request from the Lord to set the feast of the Divine Mercy Sunday on the Second Sunday of Easter. On May 5, 2000, five days after the canonization of Saint Faustina, the Vatican decreed that the Second Sunday of Easter would henceforth be known as Divine Mercy Sunday.Happy Easter!Ave Maria!Come, Holy Spirit, come!To Jesus through Mary! Here I am, Lord; I come to do your will. Please give us the grace to respond with joy!+ Mikel Amigot w/ María Blanca | RosaryNetwork.com, New York–Jesus to Sr. Faustina – Excerpted from Diary of Sr. M. Faustina Kowalska"On one occasion, I heard these words:"My daughter, tell the whole world about My inconceivable mercy. I desire that the Feast of Mercy be a refuge and shelter for all souls, and especially for poor sinners. On that day the very depths of My tender mercy are open. I pour out a whole ocean of graces upon those souls who approach the fount of My mercy. The soul that will go to Confession and receive Holy Communion shall obtain complete forgiveness of sins and punishment. On that day all the divine floodgates through which graces flow are opened. Let no soul fear to draw near to Me, even though its sins be as scarlet. My mercy is so great that no mind, be it of man or of angel, will be able to fathom it throughout all eternity. Everything that exists has come forth from the very depths of My most tender mercy. Every soul in its relation to Me will contemplate My love and mercy throughout eternity. The Feast of Mercy emerged from My very depths of tenderness. It is My desire that it be solemnly celebrated on the first Sunday after Easter. Mankind will not have peace until it turns to the Fount of My Mercy."[Let] the greatest sinners place their trust in My mercy. They have the right before others to trust in the abyss of My mercy. My daughter, write about My mercy towards tormented souls. Souls that make an appeal to My mercy delight Me. To such souls I grant even more graces than they ask. I cannot punish even the greatest sinner if he makes an appeal to My compassion, but on the contrary, I justify him in My unfathomable and inscrutable mercy. Write: before I come as a just Judge, I first open wide the door of My mercy. He who refuses to pass through the door of My mercy must pass through the door of My justice."From all My wounds, like from streams, mercy flows for souls, but the wound in My Heart is the fountain of unfathomable mercy. From this fountain spring all graces for souls. The flames of compassion burn Me. I desire greatly to pour them out upon souls. Many people believe in God but don't regularly experience Him—and yet God is already pursuing us. In this message, Pastor Sean walks through 1 Samuel 3 to show how we can become more aware of God's presence and learn to recognize His voice through Scripture, the Holy Spirit, and community. As we take on the posture, “Speak, Lord, your servant is listening,” we position ourselves to truly encounter Him.

We want to help. We want to fix. We want to speak the right word at the right time and be the instrument of someone's healing. And hidden beneath all of it, almost always, is something far less pure. We do not trust that God can work without us. ⸻ The Fathers cut through this illusion without mercy, but not without compassion. A man begins to speak and sees that his heart is stirred by vainglory. Not always in the moment. Sometimes afterward. The sweetness comes later. The memory of being useful. Of being seen. Of being right. So he asks the obvious question. Should I remain silent? The Elder refuses the simplicity of that escape. Silence is not purity if it is chosen to protect one's image. Speech is not corruption if it is offered in obedience. The issue is not whether you speak or remain silent. The issue is whether you are willing to be exposed. If a word must be spoken for the sake of another, then speak it. But do not pretend you are clean. Do not wait until your heart is free of vainglory. It will not be. Speak, and then stand before God and accuse yourself. “I spoke with vainglory.” This is the path. Not control. Not perfection. But truth. ⸻ We prefer another way. We want to purify our motives before acting. We want to feel clean before we speak. We want to be certain that what we say is necessary, righteous, even indispensable. This is fantasy. It is a refined form of pride. ⸻ The Fathers show us something far more severe. There are times when speaking is required. There are times when silence is required. And we are rarely capable of discerning which is which on our own. So we are placed under obedience. When something disturbs us, we assume it must be addressed. We feel the agitation in the heart and call it discernment. We speak to relieve ourselves and call it charity. The Elder names it plainly. If you speak to quiet your own heart, you have already fallen. This is devastating. Because it exposes how much of what we call concern is nothing more than self-protection. We do not want the discomfort. We do not want the tension. We do not want to suffer the presence of what is unresolved. So we speak. Not to heal. But to escape. ⸻ And when others are disturbed, we cloak ourselves even more skillfully. “I am speaking for them.” The Fathers do not deny that responsibility exists. But they strip it of illusion. You are not the healer. You are not the judge. You are not the one who must set things right. Bring it to the Abba. Submit it. Be freed from the illusion that everything depends on your intervention. This is where our resistance intensifies. Because submission feels like passivity. And passivity feels like failure. But what we are being asked to surrender is not action. It is control. ⸻ There is also fear. “If I speak, he will hate me.” The Elder calls this thought what it is. Evil. Not because the fear is imaginary, but because it shifts the center away from God to human reaction. It makes peace, reputation, and emotional safety the measure of truth. The image is stark. A sick man resents the physician. But the physician does not stop the treatment. If you are to act, act in God. Not to be liked. Not to be justified. Not to be safe. ⸻ And then the final blow. What if you see clearly that your desire to speak is poisoned? That you want to accuse, to expose, to correct in a way that elevates yourself? Then do not pretend. Do not remain silent in false righteousness. Do not speak in hidden judgment. Confess your sickness. Go to the Abba and say, “I want to accuse. I cannot purify my heart.” Now something real can begin. Not only the healing of your brother. But your own. ⸻ This is the truth we resist. God is not waiting for our perfect words. He is not dependent upon our interventions. He is not hindered by our silence. But He will not heal the heart that refuses to be seen as it is. ⸻ We want to be useful. The Fathers want us to be honest. Because only the honest man can be entrusted with speech. And only the one who has relinquished control can remain silent without bitterness. ⸻ In the end, the question is not this: Should I speak or remain silent? The question is this: Am I willing to let God work without securing a place for myself in the outcome? Until that is answered, both our silence and our speech will remain infected. And yet, even this is not the end. Speak when you must. Remain silent when you must. And in both, stand before God and say the only true word: “I am not pure. Have mercy.” --- Text of chat during the group: 00:02:58 Fr. Charbel Abernethy: Page 373 Volume II number 4 00:07:46 Bob Čihák, AZ: P 373, # 4, top paragraph 00:09:54 Fr. Send me a DM here (it doesn't let me respond), OR email me: imagineabetterworld2020@gmail.comToday I'm honored to introduce you all to: Ritual Abuse, mind control, and organized abuse survivor, overcomer, and whistleblower, devoted wife and loving mother, holistic health practitioner and nutritionist, aspiring writer and author, content creator, and an incredible woman on a mission to create a space where others feel safe enough to speak about their experiences, BrittanyA little bit about Brittany and what you can expect to hear about on today's episode: Born July 29, under the lingering trail of Hailey's Comet, Brittany entered a world steeped in generational darkness. For at least 3 generations on both sides, her family carried cycles of abuse, addiction, betrayal, narcissism, and silent female servitude. Freemasonic ties ran deep - connections that often shielded evil instead of stopping it. From age three, trauma marked Brittany's body and spirit. Weekdays brought survival with her mother - her main abuser; and weekends offered fragile safety with loving grandparents. Recognized as being gifted and placed in gifted and talented programs, she still faced red flags no one fully addressed, and when she tried to speak, her words fell on deaf ears. She learned silence. For years she numbed the agony with pharmaceuticals and Western medicine while raising three beautiful children. Then Easter 2011 became her holy crucible. Life changing events occurred that impacted her family deeply. However, in the aftermath God moved supernaturally: every addiction vanished and memories flooded back - but this time healing began.Leaning fully on the Holy Spirit and her family, Brittany left behind therapy that only stirred pain. She embraced somatic healing, holistic nutrition (becoming an advanced practice holistic nutritionist), prayer, and writing her memoir Expose the Darkness. She learned that trauma lives in the body until brought into the light. Piece by piece, she has released decades of suppressed emotion, broke bloodline curses, and chose her children's safety over family loyalty. Her mother later went to prison for organized crime, bringing a measure of justice.Today, Brittany stands radiant and free - a living miracle. She ended the generational trauma: her children know only love and safety. From silenced survivor to bold voice, she transformed hyper-independence into humble strength and self-hatred into fierce purpose. Through social media, her writing, and holistic practice, she now advocates for survivors and stronger protections for children.Brittany's message burns with resurrection power:“I believe you. You are not crazy. Healing is possible - not by time alone, but by surrendering to God who turns ashes into beauty. Your pain prepared you for purpose. Speak your truth. Expose the darkness. The same strength that helped you endure will help you rise.”To survivors she says: You were never meant to carry this alone. God rewrites bloodlines through brave hearts like yours. To helpers and society, Brittany says: Believe us. Listen deeply. Build systems that protect instead of punish truth-tellers. Empathy and spiritual grounding change everything.Brittany is proof that no pit is too deep and no curse too strong for God's redeeming hand. From indentured shadows and ritual darkness to a blazing platform of hope, she rose. One woman's obedience broke generations of chains and now lights the way for thousands. She is not just a survivor. She is a lighthouse, a chain-breaker, and a testament that resurrection is real.If you carry hidden wounds, hear her cry across the darkness:“Rise. Your story is not over. Word of mouth is the absolute best way to support any creative endeavor. Spring is a good time to think about what we plant — literally and figuratively. The Celtic lands we love were shaped by people who understood that the earth gives back what you put into it. This week's tip is simple. Go native. If you're planting anything this spring — flowers, shrubs, anything — choose native plants. They support local pollinators, use less water, and need far less maintenance. One trip to a native plant nursery can do more good than you'd expect. Walk outside. Pick up one piece of trash. Plant something that belongs. The same spirit that carries Celtic music forward, community, resilience, love of the land, is the same spirit that keeps this planet alive. Let's carry that forward. Tim Cannon emailed: "Marc, Thanks for doing what you do, and for doing for so long! Please bear with me... I'm old enough to remember the days when stereo's would hold multiple CD's and there was a setting to shuffle between the CD's. Do you know of an App that does something like this? I imagine that I would store my albums on my device and in the app choose which ones are available for the shuffle. I use pandora and spotify, but would prefer something that better supports the artists." Jeffrey Alexander messaged on Facebook: "Is the iPhone app dead?? If so what is the best way to listen now?" I replied: Patreon app. I don't know if you're a subscriber, but it works great for this app. And gets you involved with the community. It works well even if you just follow the show there. Overcast. Tho I've been listening to a lot more shows on Patreon. This is my favorite Podcatcher. It's iPhone only. Has cool features if you're not listening to music apps. Apple Podcasts. Still a good podcatcher. Daniel Faigin replied to the comments in #748: "I just wanted to applaud what you said to the fellow who made the "libtard" comment in Ep 748. Folk music and celtic music has always spoken truth to power, and our current leadership needs to hear the truth. This listener supports what you said. You might lose some listeners, but hopefully you will gain a lot more from the folkies and celtic music fans that agree with you. If there had been a one - time donation button on the site or the patreon, I would have used it. Instead, I'll just continue to support the great artists you find." He followed up with this short email: "When I shared what you said with my wife, she said: "You've been listening long enough". So I signed up at the lowest level - - less for the perks, and more to support your effort." Thank you Daniel. Yes. I definitely lost followers for my political shows these past couple months. And you are right, there is outrage from the continued injustices by the current administration. So much so that the NO KINGS protests continue to peacefully grow. There are three ways that we can make true change, especially with a government that is complicit in supporting the illegal actions of our president. Vote them out. Make your voice heard in November. Support small, local indie businesses. It's always good to support your local community. But most of these businesses not only need your support more than some giant corporation, but they also aren't supporting a government actively breaking laws and hurting people. Speak up. Publicly. At rallies and protests. Online. And especially by contacting your representatives. It feels futile. But it's not. Your voice matters. You also mentioned making a one - time donation. I don't have a regular way of sharing the URL, but if you go to https://bestcelticmusic.net/donate/ , then you make a one - off donation. But your regular support on Patreon means everything. So thank you!
In this episode, Ray Higdon breaks down one of the biggest challenges in sales: handling money objections. Instead of defending your price or feeling pressured to justify your offer, Ray teaches a powerful mindset shift that top closers use. They don't argue about cost, they anchor value. When you deeply understand your prospect's pain and clearly connect your solution to that problem, price becomes far less of an issue and closing becomes far more natural. Ray dives into practical sales strategies to overcome common objections like "it's too expensive," "I can get it cheaper," and "I don't have the money." He reveals how to pre-frame conversations by shaping your prospect's identity, how to confidently respond when objections arise, and why belief in your product is non-negotiable for success. He also shares a step-by-step approach to uncover whether "no money" is a real objection or just a smokescreen, helping you recover sales that most people lose. If you're in network marketing, sales, or entrepreneurship and want to increase your close rate without sounding pushy or desperate, this episode gives you real scripts and practical techniques you can apply immediately. Learn how to guide prospects to see the true value of your offer, handle objections with confidence, and ultimately help more people say yes. —

In today's episode, one of Trisha's clients, Holly, shares the story of two very different births and two equally different breastfeeding experiences, and what shifted between them. Her first labor began spontaneously but ended with a vacuum delivery, and the demoralizing message that her “pushes weren't productive.” Breastfeeding was just as difficult, leading to a year of mostly exclusive pumping and undiagnosed postpartum anxiety. Four years later, she approached birth with real preparation, a clear plan, and a timely transfer of care to a midwife who immediately changed the tone of her birth experience. This episode examines how preparation, autonomy, and the right support can change not only the course of a labor, but the way a mother understands her own strength.**********Send us Fan Mail Needed
