Amy Phillips and co-host Deanna Cheng recap the Summer House “aftermath,” focusing on Amanda's sit-down with Lindsay over rosé, where Amanda offers limited accountability for choosing West despite knowing about Ciara and is pushed by Lindsay to actually “feel” what happened. They break down West's evasiveness, alleged lies about being at Kyle's, the dog's reaction, and his distinction between loving Amanda vs being in love, plus a muddled timeline involving kisses after the summer, the Jan. 17 apartment incident, the Jan. 19 split announcement, feelings in February, and sleeping with Mija in March. They discuss Mija's conversation with Ciara, the Italy trip, rumors of a leaked video and a private investigator, Page Six reporting West wasn't asked back for Season 11 amid claims he tried to get Lindsay, Kyle, and Carl fired (which reps deny), and they briefly mention other shows and Deanna's “How To Be Less Old” Substack.ONE SKIN Get 15% off OneSkin, go to: https://www.oneskin.co/ Code: DRAMARULA Start your mental wellness journey today with Rula, visit: https://www.rula.com/drama/ LUMI GUMMIES Lumi Gummies are available nationwide! Most parents have heard that breastfeeding is beneficial. What far fewer understand is why those first feedings matter so much, what colostrum does beyond nutrition, and how early feeding choices shape the gut microbiome, immune system, and long-term health.Today, we're joined by Dr. Rhonda Trust, PhD, registered dietitian, professor of health communication, and longtime breastfeeding educator, for a conversation about newborn gut health, colostrum, skin-to-skin contact, formula supplementation, and the larger systems influencing infant feeding decisions. We talk about what happens when babies receive formula in the hospital before breastfeeding is established, why nutrition education is still surprisingly limited in conventional medical training, and how formula marketing continues to shape the messaging parents receive. We also get into donor milk, birth mode, bacterial transfer, and why the newborn microbiome is about far more than digestion. We discuss:• What colostrum actually does in the newborn gut • Why the first feeding matters differently from feeding decisions made later • How skin-to-skin contact helps establish a healthy microbiome • Why formula is so often introduced before breastfeeding is fully supported • The connection between gut health, immune development, and chronic illness • Why many pediatricians receive limited breastfeeding and nutrition education • The role of donor milk when breastfeeding isn't immediately possible • How modern infant feeding culture became so disconnected from biologyIf you've ever been told “a little formula won't hurt,” or wondered why the first few days matter so much, this episode provides much food for thought.**********Send us Fan Mail Needed

Aimé Flemm: Renting The Change vs Owning It — Why LeSS Transformations Get Reversed Read the full Show Notes and search through the world's largest audio library on Agile and Scrum directly on the Scrum Master Toolbox Podcast website: http://bit.ly/SMTP_ShowNotes.   "They rented the change instead of owning it." - Aimé Flemm   A year ago Aimé helped his Dutch employer adopt LeSS. The teams are happy. They're performing well. And now, he's watching it all get pulled apart. The company was acquired by a German parent that's "actually really German" — traditional, command-and-control. The parent wants to "align" all its companies and is pushing to revert the LeSS structure back to component teams. Why? Because higher management never went to the trainings. They never went through the change themselves. They signed off on it, but they didn't internalize it. And now the loud-but-few voices of the status quo are reaching upward, and management is panicking. That's what Aimé means by "renting the change" — you got the lease, you never bought the building, and the moment pressure rises, you walk away. His experiment for the next sprint, sharpened in this conversation: stop trying to defend the structure. Start a conversation with management to co-create success metrics for the merger itself. Decouple the structure from the definition of success. As long as the merger succeeds, the structure can stay fluid. Speak their language. And remember: coaching is the cherry on top — about 5% of the real gains. The big improvements live in the structural changes.   Self-reflection Question: When you sold your last change to upper management, did they buy it — or are they renting? And what's your plan for the moment when they want to give back the keys?   [The Scrum Master Toolbox Podcast Recommends]

Making the perfect sales pitch. Baking the perfect pie. Earning the perfect grade. When you reach that goal, you get excited. You rejoice. You let others know that perfection has been achieved. But how long did it take you to achieve that perfection? How many mistakes did you make on the way? The Lord tells his people to be holy. In other words, be perfect. But he doesn’t say work your way to perfection. He says you are to be holy, right now, at this very moment, and then to keep being holy. Of course, you aren’t perfect. You make mistakes. You do things that are wrong. And as soon as you make one mistake or sin even in the most insignificant way, you are no longer perfect. You are unable to be holy even though God demands that you be holy. So, the Lord sent Jesus. Jesus was holy. He didn’t make any mistakes. He never sinned. He never did anything contrary to what God commands. Jesus lived a perfect life in his thoughts, his words, and in everything he did. Now Jesus gives that perfection to you. Even though you are not holy, Jesus makes you holy by giving you his perfect obedience to God’s laws and washing away your sins with his innocent blood. Through Jesus, you are able to be what you cannot achieve on your own. You are holy. Prayer: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, I confess that by nature I am not holy as you desire. Cleanse me of my sins with the blood of Jesus. Lead me to always thank and praise you for the holiness that you have given me through Jesus. Keep me faithful to him. Amen. In this episode of the Awesome Marriage Podcast, Dr. Kim sits down with bestselling author Gary Chapman for a practical and honest conversation about what it really looks like to keep a marriage growing, not just surviving. They talk about why marriages don't just "stay the same," how couples slowly drift without realizing it, and what it takes to stay emotionally connected over time. Gary unpacks how love languages can shift through different seasons of life, why assumptions create so many problems, and how simple things like curiosity, communication, and daily check-ins can completely change the tone of a relationship. If you've ever felt like you and your spouse are just "off" lately, or you want to be more intentional about loving well, this conversation gives you real, doable ways to start moving back toward each other again.   Episode Highlights: Without intentional effort, connection naturally fades into distance or "roommate mode."  Couples often miss each other because they're expressing love in ways that feel right to them, not in ways that actually land with their spouse.  When couples stay teachable and intentional, even conflict becomes an opportunity for deeper connection.    Quotes from this Episode: Gary Chapman: "Marriage is either going to grow or regress—there's really no drifting in place." "I don't talk about a perfect marriage. I talk about a growing marriage." "Life satisfaction is found in relationships, not in the accumulation of things." "We cannot read each other's minds—you have to ask questions and listen." "The objective is not to win the argument—the objective is to find a solution together." "It's no fun to live with a loser. Why would you create a loser? You're on the same team." "Love has to be communicated in a way that's meaningful to the other person."     Kim Kimberling: "I don't think I'll ever learn everything there is to know about Nancy in a lifetime." "Marriage is an adventure because you're always discovering new things about each other." "If you're not feeling loved, turn into your marriage—not outside of it." "Assumptions in marriage are usually way off." "The distractions we entertain today are often stealing the connection we could be building at home." "There's so much value in the person God put in front of you to do life with." "Small, intentional steps done consistently really do make a difference over time." Time to Talk About it: Where in our marriage are we currently growing—and where might we actually be drifting without realizing it? In what ways am I trying to show love to my spouse, and are those actually the ways they most feel loved? How well do we really ask questions and stay curious about each other instead of assuming we already know what the other thinks or feels? What would it look like for us to build a simple daily rhythm of connection (even 10–15 minutes) to stay emotionally close? Mentioned in This Episode: Awesome Marriage is on Instagram! Most people say they want financial breakthrough, but very few are actually walking in the faith it takes to get there. In this episode, Ray Higdon delivers a powerful and challenging message for anyone who feels stuck financially. The problem, Ray says, isn't strategy or timing. It's who you're being every single day, and whether you're truly walking in faith or just claiming to be. Ray draws on scripture, personal stories, and hard-won business experience to unpack what walking in faith actually looks like in practice. He shares the moment his company faced a $1.1 million hotel bill for a major event, how he was led to bring in John Maxwell as a speaker despite the enormous financial pressure, and why that obedience, not logic, produced the breakthrough. He also unpacks the parable of the talents, Abraham's willingness to sacrifice Isaac, and David's posture before Goliath to illustrate what genuine faith-driven decision-making looks like when the numbers don't make sense. This episode will challenge you to stop holding on so tightly to the money you have that you miss the investment God is calling you toward. If every opportunity looks like a cost instead of a door, this message is for you. Ray's raw honesty and faith-based perspective make this one of the most compelling episodes for entrepreneurs and network marketers who want God-led financial growth, not just hustle. —

You're 15 minutes from the end of your presentation. And you're only halfway through your content. That sick feeling your audience has? That's not inspiration. That's overwhelm. In this solo episode of The Expert Edge, I break down the number one mistake speakers make when presenting to sell: over-teaching. You think you're giving value. Your audience thinks they just ate too much at an all-you-can-eat buffet and can't move. Here's the brutal truth: teaching more doesn't make people buy from you. It actually loses the sale. Most speakers don't realize the gap between what feels simple to them (because they're the expert) and what feels overwhelming to their audience (because they're experiencing it for the first time at your speed). This is the Expert's Dilemma. And it's costing you conversions. I walk through four core concepts that will transform how you structure your presentations: What you'll learn: → The Expert's Dilemma - Why what feels simple to you overwhelms your audience instantly → Stay above the Lose the Sale Line - The difference between concepts/stories (above) and tactics/how-tos (below) that kill conversions → Infusion selling beats content dumps - Why mixing speaking and selling together converts better than teaching for 45 minutes then selling for 5 → Balance the Brain - Mix left brain (logic, frameworks, stats) with right brain (stories, metaphors, emotions) for maximum impact → Why step-by-step tactics make people think they can do it alone (and leave your offer) Real insights from the episode: The all-you-can-eat buffet metaphor that explains exactly how your audience feels when you overteach How previous speakers going over time forced me to cut a 50-minute presentation by 20 minutes (and why this happens) Why being helpful + trying to prove credibility = recipe for over-teaching The imaginary "red line" that separates what sells from what loses the sale How confusion actually builds more credibility than complexity Why balance in your presentation design matters more than comprehensiveness The difference between a well-structured meal and the all-you-can-eat buffet experience How infusion selling lets your audience consume content without realizing you're selling   Join our next Speak to Convert Masterclass. If you've ever wondered why you still can't "move on" from something that happened months—or even years—ago, this episode may completely change the way you think about healing. Most people mean well when they tell us to "just move on." But if you've ever been on the receiving end of that advice after a loss, heartbreak, disappointment, diagnosis, or difficult season of life, you know just how painful those words can be.What this episode strives to ask instead, What if the reason you can't move on isn't because you're weak? What if it's because moving on was never the goal?Welcome to Week 4 of The Summer ShiftIn Week 4 of the Summer Shift Series, Kevin shares a powerful lesson inspired by standing in the ocean as massive waves roll toward shore. When a wave is coming, you can't outrun it. You can't pretend it isn't there. And if you try to stand rigid against it, chances are it's going to knock you flat. The secret isn't getting over the wave. The secret is learning how to move through it.The Essence of This EpisodeIn this episode, you'll discover why healing isn't about forgetting what happened, pretending you're okay, or somehow becoming unaffected by your past.Instead, you'll learn how real healing happens when we stop fighting reality, stop avoiding the pain, and begin moving through it one step at a time. You'll also discover why some of life's biggest waves can eventually become sources of strength, wisdom, and purpose. This Week's Summer Shift ChallengeTake a few moments to identify the wave you've been trying to outrun.Maybe it's grief.Maybe it's fear.Maybe it's regret, disappointment, anxiety, or an old wound that still hurts.Name it.Because when you can identify the wave, you can prepare for it. And when you're prepared for it, you're no longer powerless against it.You may not be able to stop the waves from coming. But you can learn how to move through them!Hey, it's Kevin!I hope you enjoyed today's episode! If there is ever anything I can do for you, please don't hesitate to reach out. Episode Chapter Summaries Chapter 1: The Cosmic Zipper — From Silicon Valley to Telltale Games (00:01 – 04:13) Anne introduces BAFTA award-winning actor Cissy Jones, listing her massive credits across the video game landscape. Cissy shares her unique origin story, starting not in theater, but in the fast-paced venture capital world of Silicon Valley. Despite an early childhood calling to act, she followed corporate expectations until a profound sense of unhappiness led her to a voiceover school. Cissy introduces her concept of the "cosmic zipper"—that beautiful alignment where life clicks together once you finally uncover your true purpose. Within two years of rigorous study, she booked her first massive multi-character rolepacket as Katya in Telltale Games' The Walking Dead. Chapter 2: The Ultimate Boss Move & The Impact of the Mic (04:14 – 07:47) Anne pauses to highlight an incredible tactical move from Cissy's early days: learning how to engineer audioaudio engineer sessions when she couldn't afford a class ticket, allowing her to stay in the casting room and absorb director feedback through osmosis. Cissy highlights her deep appreciation for characters like Lilith in Disney's The Owl House. She recounts emotional fan interactions at Comic-Cons, where parents and children shared how her character's arc helped them process their own queer or neurodivergent identities, reinforcing the true purpose of human storytelling. Chapter 3: Mastering Storytelling & Leaning Into Vulnerability (07:48 – 11:44) Anne asks Cissy what internal mechanics make a voice actor a master storyteller. Cissy credits her willingness to tap deeply into intense, unshielded human emotion on demand. She offers a crucial piece of advice for talent exploring the character and interactive space: when a script calls for real, raw emotion, do not paint over it with cartoony comedy. Voice actors must lean courageously into authentic psychological vulnerability while carefully managing their own mental well-being when a heavy scene leaves them emotionally drained. Chapter 4: The 3-Second Threat & The AI Wake-Up Call (11:45 – 17:31) The conversation turns to advocacy as Cissy recounts a terrifying experience during the 2021 COVID lockdown. Fans alerted her to AI voice clone platforms generating pornographic content using her vocal likeness from The Owl House. When she demanded a takedown, the platforms refused, citing a complete lack of protective voice laws. Cissy breaks down a jarring technological reality: in 2021, creating a believable vocal clone required roughly 10 hours of studio audio; today, it takes just 3 seconds. She highlights why NAVA is actively working with legislators to target security loopholes, citing an experiment where NAVA co-founder Karin Gilfrey successfully bypassed her personal bank security using an AI clone of her own voice. Chapter 5: Ethovox — Creating a Safe Haven Under Lock and Key (17:32 – 24:03) Drawing on her technical venture capital background, Cissy shares why she refused to sit idly by and instead launched her own ethical AI startup called Ethovox. Unlike predatory public marketplaces that ingest and trade off voice talent data, Ethovox operates as a highly secure, private repository. The company explicitly mandates full actor consent, works hand-in-hand with talent agencies to negotiate fair rates, and refuses to sell baseline training data. Cissy reveals a massive boss move: walking away from a lucrative seven-figure institutional funding offer because the investors admitted they did not care if voice actors survived. Chapter 6: The Fight in D.C. & How the VO Community Can Help (24:04 – End) Cissy praises NAVA's leadership—specifically Tim Friedlander, CKarin Gilfrey, and Matthew Parham—for their relentless, bipartisan legislative efforts in Washington, D.C., to pass protections such aspushes in Washington, D.C. to pass protections like the federal No Fakes Act. She stresses that while Washington politicians may not inherently care about actors, they care deeply about cybersecurity risks and digital identity theft affecting their voters. The episode wraps with an urgent call to action for the VO community to support NAVA through membership dues, alongside an invitation to participate in NAVA's annual Day of Play charity streaming event. Top 10 Boss Takeaways Watch for the "Cosmic Zipper": If you are forcing a career path and constantly meeting friction and exhaustion, step back. When you strike the path you were truly meant to walk, the doors lock into place effortlessly. Immerse yourself through service: If you cannot afford premium training starting out, find alternative ways to be in the room. Learn to engineer, edit, or assist so you can witness directing choices and build organic network connections. Storytelling demands real human impact: Vocal mechanics mean absolutely nothing if your performance isn't reaching past the microphone to touch, change, or validate the human experience of the listener. Don't hide behind a cartoon read: When a script asks for deep psychological weight or heavy sorrow, do not soften the blow with safe, performative humor. Stand confidently in your vulnerability. Acknowledge the 3-second reality: Vocal cloning technology requires as little as 3 seconds of pristine audio—meaning your outgoing cell phone voicemail clip is enough to compromise security systems or clone your identity. AI needs ethical boundaries: Innovation cannot be stopped, but it must be met with the three foundational pillars of advocacy: absolute Consent, fair Compensation, and structural Control over personal vocal assets. Protect your core data: Avoid voice AI platforms that treat your unique biological voiceprint as disposable ammunition to train broader, open-source language models. Reputation over revenue: True leaders know when to walk away. Cissy's rejection of a massive seven-figure check because investors devalued human talent is the ultimate blueprint for protecting your personal integrity over a quick paycheck. Bipartisan framing is key in advocacy: When pushing for systemic change or workplace protections, leave personal political ideologies outside the room. Speak directly to staffers about the universal dangers of digital kidnapping, fraud, and corporate IP theft. A rising tide lifts all boats: Success in this industry is never a zero-sum game. There is plenty of room for creative minds to flourish. Lift your peers up, guard each other's rights, and protect the human element.

“Speak your truth” sounds like the most honest thing you can do. But it's not. Your truth is your perspective. It is what is real within your current awareness. And when you hold it like a fact, like the final word on what happened or who your partner is, there is nowhere left for the conversation to go.I heard a quote about ten years ago that I have never forgotten. Honesty changes with one's awareness. The truth is always the same. That is the distinction. In this episode:* Understand why speaking your truth can actually shut a conversation down before it has a chance to go anywhere* Recognize the three ways it quietly breaks relational communication without you realizing it* Learn Terry Real's feedback wheel, a four-step tool for sharing what you feel and what you need without putting your partner on the defenseYour partner cannot meet you in a conversation you have already closed. If this one landed and you want support bringing this into your relationship, I work with couples on exactly this. After a conversation with Dr. Emerson Eggerichs, of Love & Respect, I'm rethinking the way I go about being a peace-keeper. Here's what he said: Sometimes, as peace keepers we hedge on the truth, or just lie, to keep the peace. .... So let's apply that to our workplace. Are you unknowingly hedging on speaking the truth in work situations, to keep the peace? How can you know? You'll probably have a niggling in your spirit, an unsettledness. So what can we do to know when to speak the truth: We can check in with the Holy Spirit in the moment, before conversing, and pray for wisdom for how and when to speak.  Keeping the peace may not be what best serves the organization. But speaking the truth is.  So how about you?

Episode 298 · Mini Miracles From Minor Moments Have you ever said the right words but still felt completely misunderstood? This week on Mini Miracles From Minor Moments, I'm exploring something that touches every single relationship in your life — the tone, pace, and pitch of your voice. The way we say something carries just as much meaning as the words themselves. This episode gathers several short reflections recorded over recent weeks, all pointing toward one central truth: how we communicate shapes how we connect. What This Episode Is About From a morning full of mini-miracles — emissions tests, quick errands, and a license plate sticker that finally got done — to a thoughtful look at guarding your mind against fear and self-doubt, this episode is a warm collection of everyday wisdom. I talk about building emotional and physical endurance, the discipline of small daily habits, and the art of focusing on joy even when life is heavy. Woven through all of it is a longer reflection on the voice — how our intonation, pitch, and pace tell people far more than we realize, and how a simple smile in your voice can change everything. I also share some personal moments from my week — a cornea injury that a chance conversation with an orthopedic doctor helped catch, a pair of sunglasses still missing since Mother's Day, and the exciting launch of my Art Therapy group, which is now meeting on Thursday afternoons. These are the minor moments that carry real meaning, if we stay awake to them.   Main Talking Points Mini-Miracles Happen When You Least Expect Them A morning that flowed — errands done, sticker on the plate, still on time for an appointment — is a reminder to stay positive and keep moving. When things pile up, a peaceful mindset makes all the difference. Guarding Your Mind Is a Daily Practice Negative thoughts, comparison, fear, and the need to control things can creep in quietly. Training your thoughts during peaceful moments is what pushes destructive thinking out. Emotional endurance grows from patience, self-awareness, and reflection. Small Physical Habits Move You Forward Whether it's making the bed, taking a walk, or drinking more water, the small things we repeat build momentum. Even a half-mile walk counts. Honoring the commitments you make to yourself strengthens your identity and keeps joy within reach. Focus on the Good, Especially When Life Is Hard Life always brings sadness, illness, and loss. Choosing to call up joyful memories — a kind person at the bank, a warm summer day, a photo wall of good times — is not denial. It is a discipline that keeps us open to the miracles right in front of us. Your Voice Is an Emotional Soundtrack The tone, pace, and pitch of your voice communicate emotions that words alone cannot carry. Speaking with urgency raises the other person's anxiety; slowing down anchors them. Whether you want to inspire, comfort, or simply be understood, a calm and intentional voice makes all the difference. The Same Words Land Differently for Everyone A boss can address the same group and leave one person motivated, another insulted. We have to ask ourselves: how do I want the person on the other side to receive what I'm saying? Tone in texts and emails carries meaning too — short and direct can feel cold even when we don't intend it. Put a Smile in Your Voice People can tell if you are truly smiling when you speak — over the phone, in a counseling session, even in a voicemail. When we are preoccupied or distracted, our voice gives us away. Being present in our tone is one of the most generous things we can offer the people we care about.   Resources & Links Podcast Archive: lindagullo.com/minimiraclespodcast Art Therapy Group: Thursdays at 1 PM in June — register at lindagullo.com Coaching & Counseling: lindagullo.com Support the Podcast: buymeacoffee.com/delightinliving Contact Linda: Linda@delightinliving.com

Knowing God vs Using God | Hosea 6:3

Welcome to The Daily, where we study the Bible verse by verse, chapter by chapter, every day. Grab your Hosea Scripture Journal right now. Our text today is Hosea 6:3: Let us know; let us press on to know the Lord; his going out is sure as the dawn; he will come to us as the showers, as the spring rains that water the earth." — Hosea 6:3 Every word here sounds right. It even sounds passionate. But in the context of this chapter, something is off with this declaration in verse 3. Something is just not right. Israel says they want to know God, but they haven't truly returned (i.e., repented) to God. They speak about pursuit, but there's no evidence of surrender. They talk about knowing God, but they're still holding onto the very things that keep them from God. Again, in Hosea, we learn you can talk about knowing God and still not actually be pursuing him. "Knowing God" is not about information. It's relationship. It's not just learning about him. It's walking with him. It's obedience, intimacy, trust, and submission all woven together. To "press on to know the Lord" means you don't settle and won't settle. You pursue him daily. You move toward him even when it costs you something. But Israel wasn't doing that. They said it but they were not about to live it. They wanted a Savior without surrendering to him as Lord. Then they called for a "shower" of blessing. Something refreshing. A great provision. But we know they skipped the pursuit. In the same way, many believers today do the same. They listen to teaching. They read Scripture. They show up at church. But if there is no daily pursuit—no intentional movement toward God—then they are not pursuing or returning to God. They are using him. Using God is occasional obedience. Knowing God is consistent obedience. You cannot use God. He won't allow it. Eventually, he will cut you off. And you can call for a "shower of blessing" all you want. You can continue your shell game. But God isn't going to play the game with you. Be honest with yourself. Are you just pursuing God for blessings, or are you pursuing God to know God? Press into God today in some new way. Battle with sin. Pray a little longer. Refuse an earthly desire. Speak more kindly. Let God consume your desires, motivations, thoughts, and will, and then receive the shower of blessings that is God himself. DO THIS: Set aside intentional time today to pursue God—without distraction, without rushing, and without asking for anything. Just seek Him. ASK THIS: Do I pursue God daily or only occasionally? Am I growing in knowing Him—or just learning about Him? What would it look like to truly "press on" in my relationship with God? PRAY THIS: God, I don't want to just know about you—I want to know you. Teach me to pursue you daily with consistency and sincerity. Amen. PLAY THIS: "Fill The Room"

There is a distinction between the public gift of tongues and private prayer in tongues. In 1 Corinthians 12, Paul is discussing ministry gifts given to different members of the church for the benefit of the body, which is why not everyone is called to speak in tongues publicly, just as not everyone is an apostle, prophet, or teacher. In 1 Corinthians 14, however, Paul describes a personal use of tongues in which believers speak directly to God and edify themselves. While public tongues in a church gathering must be accompanied by interpretation to benefit others, private tongues can be practiced freely as a form of personal prayer and communion with God. __________ 1 Corinthians 12:27–30 NLT, 1 Corinthians 14:18–19 NLT, 1 Corinthians 14:26–28 NLT, 1 Corinthians 14:1–4 KJV __________ Partner with Us: https://churchforentrepreneurs.com/partner Connect with Us: https://churchforentrepreneurs.com __________

Dr. Patel explains why more younger patients are being diagnosed, explores possible contributing factors like lifestyle and environmental changes, and emphasizes that there is no single cause of cancer. She also breaks down how clinical trials work, why patient advocacy matters, and how resources like clinicaltrials.gov can help guide treatment decisions. The conversation also dives into survivorship care and why life after cancer should be viewed as “life with a cancer history,” highlighting the ongoing physical, emotional, and financial challenges patients may face. In this episode, Dr. Patel discusses: The rising rates of early-onset colorectal and GI cancers Why younger patients are increasingly being diagnosed Possible contributing factors (diet, lifestyle, environmental influences) Why no single “smoking gun” explains cancer development How clinical trials work (Phase I, II, and III differences) Why patients should use clinicaltrials.gov and advocate for themselves The importance of second opinions in cancer care Why survivorship should be viewed as “life with a cancer history” Physical, emotional, and financial challenges after treatment The problem of patient guilt and blaming lifestyle choices Dr. Patel's insights offer a clear, compassionate, and empowering look into modern cancer care helping patients, caregivers, and clinicians better understand both the science and the human experience behind a diagnosis.   Immortalize your voice by being an ALL TALK ONCOLOGY GUEST! Just fill-out this FORM. We have reached the end of our Exodus series! Chapter 40 concludes with the glory of the Lord filling the tabernacle, marking the completion of the structure, but not the end of the journey. The Israelites are not yet in the Promised Land. So why is this 40-chapter story so central to the biblical narrative? Because Exodus is not just background history—it is a legally binding testimony that points directly to the coming of a greater Messiah.Key Points1. A Testimony to the FutureHebrews 3:5 states that Moses was faithful as a servant, bearing witness to what would be spoken by God in the future. The Greek word used here for servant (therapon) implies an intimate, trusted servant whose testimony carries legal weight. Moses is a credible witness establishing the criteria for the Messiah. Anyone claiming to be the Messiah must be greater than Moses.2. Jesus is the Greater IntercessorMoses: Interceded for the Israelites on a hill to win a physical battle against the Amalekites. His hands were held up by his friends (Exodus 17).Jesus: Interceded on the hill of Calvary to win the eternal war against sin and death. His hands were held up by nails—and by the joy set before Him.3. Jesus is the Greater Deliverer & SacrificeMoses: Delivered the Israelites physically from Egypt, but he could not lead them all the way into the Promised Land. The Old Covenant required sacrifices to be made over and over again, like weed killer that only offers temporary relief.Jesus: Shared in our humanity to break the power of death and deliver us spiritually (Hebrews 2:14). As our High Priest, He offered one sacrifice for sins for all time, and then He sat down—because the work was finished (Hebrews 10:11-12). Note: Joshua (Yeshua), whose name points to Jesus, was the one who ultimately led the people into the Promised Land.4. Jesus is the Greater TabernacleMoses: Built the physical tabernacle where God's presence dwelled, but the people were kept out by a thick curtain and the barrier of sin.Jesus: The Word became flesh and "tabernacled" among us (John 1:14). When Jesus died on the cross, the physical curtain in the temple was torn in two. Now, through the blood of Jesus, we have confidence to enter the Most Holy Place. Better yet, through the Holy Spirit, believers have become living tabernacles.5. The Warning: Guard Against a Hard HeartThe Israelites saw the Red Sea part and manna fall from the sky, yet their hearts grew hard and they built a golden calf. Signs and wonders cannot replace an intimate relationship with God. Hebrews warns us not to harden our hearts as they did, but to encourage one another daily. We guard against a hard heart through personal devotion and active participation in a faith community.ConclusionWhen Moses asked God, "Show me your glory," God tucked him in a rock and only allowed him to see His back. Moses did not get exactly what he asked for in that moment, nor did he get to enter the Promised Land in his lifetime. However, God does not forget our prayers. Centuries later, on the Mount of Transfiguration (Matthew 17), Moses finally stands in the Promised Land, face-to-face with Jesus, whose face shone like the sun. Moses finally saw the full glory of God. God is worth the wait.Calls to ActionExamine Your Heart: Are there areas where your heart has grown hard or calloused toward God?Speak it Out: If you are struggling with unbelief or a hard heart, confess it to someone in your faith community this week to break its power.Trust the Delay: If you have been waiting a long time for a prayer to be answered, look to Moses. Trust that God's timing is perfect and His glory is worth the wait. Support the show*Summaries and transcripts are generated using AI. Please notify us if you find any errors.

Eat My Flesh, Drink My Blood What if Jesus wants more than your belief? What if He wants your complete union with Him? In Episode 165 of 2 Minute Disciple, we meditate on John 6:52–59, one of the most challenging and misunderstood passages in all of Scripture. As the crowd struggles to understand Jesus' teaching, He does something surprising. He doesn't soften His words. He doesn't explain them away. Instead, He presses deeper. “Unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink His blood, you cannot have eternal life within you.” These words shocked His listeners, and they continue to challenge readers today. Jesus is not describing a distant relationship built on admiration, agreement, or occasional spiritual activity. He is describing a relationship as intimate and essential as food itself. Food becomes part of us. It nourishes us from within. It sustains our lives. In the same way, Jesus invites us to receive His life so deeply that His presence becomes the source of our strength, wisdom, peace, and identity. This is the language of abiding. “Anyone who eats My flesh and drinks My blood remains in Me, and I in him.” The Christian life is not merely following Jesus from a distance. It is living in continual communion with Him. His life becomes our life. His strength becomes our strength. His presence becomes the atmosphere in which we live and move. This passage reminds us that Christianity is not simply about believing truths about Jesus. It is about participating in His life. In this episode, you'll discover: • Why Jesus intensified His teaching when the crowd objected • What it means to “feed” on Christ spiritually • The biblical meaning of abiding in Jesus • How union with Christ transforms everyday life • A practical habit for practicing the presence of God Scripture John 6:52–59 (NLT)

The hope, as always, is that all will be revealed at the Chapel of Ends. Unfortunately, despite Leopold's Errant Mercenaries best efforts. It seems this House of the Dead is keeping its secrets. As Sticks and Tyke tussle with an amnesiac corpse, for whom even Speak with Dead is of no use, Ephraim investigates the mysteriously ash covered dead body of Penelope Solverson (he is then once again poisoned). Perhaps the answer lies instead with the living, in the salt encrusted taverns of the Fairburn City Docks. If you want to hear more of Ellie Morris and Henry Shields go check out the Hell or High Rollers Podcast! And if you're still wanting to pledge for the Jarren's Outpost Board Game you can right here!
