ADHD can go unnoticed for decades, especially in women who learn to compensate through perfectionism, overpreparing, and working under pressure. It often isn't until the demands of work, motherhood, or another major life transition become too much that the underlying struggle comes into view. In this episode, I sit down with ADHD counselor Jenna Free, author of The Simple Guide to ADHD Regulation, to explore what she calls the frantic-crash cycle. She explains how chronic fight-or-flight may intensify ADHD symptoms and why nervous system regulation can make other tools and strategies easier to use. You'll learn: Why women and high achievers can compensate for ADHD for decades before their usual coping strategies stop working How perfectionism, procrastination, and working under pressure can keep the frantic-crash cycle going The physical signs of nervous system dysregulation, including shallow breathing, muscle tension, and rushing even when there's no real urgency Why calming your body is only the first step in creating lasting change How you can move away from all-or-nothing behavior and build a more sustainable way of getting things done A diagnosis can help you understand how your brain works, but it doesn't have to define what's possible. By learning to recognize and regulate survival mode, you can create the conditions for your brain to work at its best. Kamie Crawford (former co-host of MTV's Catfish: The TV Show, now host of Relationsht*) sits down with Shan to unpack what actually keeps a catfishing scheme alive long after the story stops adding up.  The conversation centers on Troi, who spent years believing he was in an email and phone relationship with a woman named Belly. His brother's boo, Tatiana, introduced him to her sister, Belly. Then came the car accident. Belly lost her memory entirely, Troi included. When the call finally came, it wasn't from Belly. It was Tatiana, breathless, saying Belly finally remembered him. Troi thought that was the end of the strange part, but it wasn't. Months later, his brother's choir competition landed in Orlando on the one day that mattered most to Troi: his own birthday. Tatiana and her sisters were finally coming to meet him in person. Years of phone calls and near-misses, about to become an IRL meetup. But you know how this goes by now... They never showed. What arrived instead was a video, of someone filming him from the crowd, sent as proof they'd been there all along. No Belly. No Tatiana. What happens after is even more shocking. That's the story I sat down with Kamie Crawford to unpack this week: not just how a lie like this gets built, but who is behind those lies and the psychology behind why. —-----------  A huge thank you to Article for sponsoring this podcast! How did 27 specific books end up in your New Testament out of hundreds of early Christian writings—and how can you be confident the church didn't just invent the Bible? In this episode of the Cold-Case Christianity Podcast, J. Warner Wallace applies his cold case detective experience to the canon of Scripture, tackling questions like: Who actually decided what's in your Bible—and on what basis? Did the church create the Bible's authority, or simply recognize it? What criteria did early Christians use to identify Scripture, and can those criteria be found in the Bible itself? How do apostolic connection, eyewitness credibility, doctrinal consistency, and widespread use across the early church all fit into the story of the canon? What about alternative gospels and letters that didn't "make the cut"? Whether you've wrestled with Catholic claims about church authority, skeptical memes about "books that were removed," or honest questions from friends and students, this episode will help you see why the evidence points to recognition—not invention—of the New Testament.

"Time management is not something you're born with or born without. It's a skill that anybody can learn if they're being taught in a reasonable way." In this episode, Heather and Megan Sumrell explore what it means to stop fighting time and start building a life that actually has room for you to live. So many of us approach planning from a place of pressure, trying to squeeze more into every available pocket of time, sacrifice sleep to catch up, or follow rigid systems that were never designed around our actual lives. But creating a calm, organized life isn't about becoming more productive; it's about building enough structure to protect what matters while leaving space for the unexpected, the people we love, and the parts of ourselves that can't be scheduled. Learn how to let go of the shame of not doing it all, increase your capacity instead of constantly playing catch-up, and redefine productivity so that the white space in your calendar becomes part of the life you're creating. What to listen for: ☑️ Getting into a relationship with time rather than always trying to "beat it" ☑️ The sooner we learn to build ourselves back into our lives, the better we'll feel ☑️ Why the way you're planning might be keeping you perpetually behind   "Learning how to create a plan that supports enough structure to ensure important things are getting done while also leaving space to absorb life and the reality of life, that's really the sweet spot." ☑️ Releasing the shame and pressure we put on ourselves to plan perfectly ☑️ Sacrificing your sleep is not the way to create more time, and what to do instead ☑️ Why you should never follow someone else's rigid morning routine   "A successful tool or system is one where the steps that you follow are the same for everybody, but the inputs are uniquely yours, and the outputs are uniquely yours." ☑️ Goal setting is a waste of time when you don't have control of your daily life ☑️ How to increase your capacity so that you don't begin each week already behind ☑️ Teaching our children time management skills so they can thrive   "The stuff that's important to me is represented on my calendar and protected to ensure I can get them done. But my identity is in all the white space on my calendar." ☑️ Breaking the belief that you have to be productive in your open pockets of time ☑️ Learning to think like someone who knows how to create a calm, organized life ☑️ Building a full life that isn't stressful or constantly overbooked About Megan Sumrell: Megan Sumrell is a former corporate executive turned entrepreneur.  As a business owner, mom, and wife, she knows exactly how hard it is to juggle #allthethings while still maintaining your own sense of self and purpose. You Might Not Have an AI Problem—You Might Have an Operating System ProblemI've spent a lot of time teaching AI this week, and I noticed something that completely changed the way I think about AI in business.Almost everyone is using AI—but very few entrepreneurs are actually building with it.If you're using ChatGPT or Claude to write emails, brainstorm content, research ideas, or help with a random task, you're not doing anything wrong. I do those things too. But there's a much bigger opportunity hiding beyond the one-off prompts. In this episode, I'm breaking down the four levels of using AI in your business: from simply chatting with AI, to giving it context, building repeatable systems, and ultimately integrating AI into the way your business actually operates. And if you've been feeling like you're “behind” on AI, I want you to hear this: you probably aren't behind. You may just be using AI at the wrong level.Things I Cover:Why most entrepreneurs don't actually have an AI problem—they have an operating system problemThe 4 levels of AI in business: Chat → Context → Systems → IntegrationWhy giving AI better context can be more powerful than searching for the “perfect prompt”How to turn AI from a tool you occasionally use into a role within your businessThe difference between using AI for a single task and building a repeatable AI systemHow AI can support your calendar, inbox, CRM, meetings, content, team, and client follow-upWhy chasing every new AI tool could actually be slowing you downThe one question I want you to ask before hiring another person or adding another toolHow to identify ONE repetitive process in your business that AI could help you build once and use repeatedlyWhy the biggest AI advantage may not belong to the entrepreneur who knows the most tools—but to the one who knows where AI belongsYour ChallengePick one thing you do over and over again in your business.Instead of asking, “How can AI help me do this today?”Ask: “How can I build this once so AI helps me do it every time?”That shift—from using AI to building with AI—could completely change the way you operate. If this episode gave you a new perspective on how you're using AI, share it with another entrepreneur who needs to hear this. And if you're ready to start building AI into your actual business, connect with me on Instagram at @itsraquelq for resources, workshops, and ways to start building the systems behind your business.Build better.      Dr. Naphtali Hoff trains school leaders and teachers to perform at their best without running themselves into the ground. A former educator and school leader himself, Dr. Hoff now coaches and trains school leaders on management, productivity, and delegation across the country. He's the author of three books, and his newest, Becoming the Delegating School Boss, is the one most relevant here — it helps school leaders clear their plates and empower their teams. Dr. Naphtali Hoff joins the Ruckuscast to break down why so many principals resist letting go, and what it actually takes to build a team you can trust. Every principal has felt it: the sense that if they left the building for a day, something would fall apart. That's not a compliment — it's a delegation problem, and it's quietly running good leaders into the ground. This episode breaks down why school leaders won't let go, and the exact framework for handing off real work without losing control of it.

Today, host Meg Rentschler dives into the idea of “the thing beneath the thing,” those deeper beliefs and stories that are really driving our clients' surface-level issues. Meg talks about some common traps coaches can fall into, like jumping too quickly into action steps, assuming “I don't know” means a client is being resistant, or relying too much on spotting patterns. She also shares some down-to-earth tips for slowing things down, asking questions that are easier for clients to answer, and staying genuinely curious. Tune in to hear Meg's main point about real, lasting change for clients not coming from just fixing the problems they bring to the table, and helping them discover and explore the stories and beliefs that are really at play underneath it all.Show Highlights:What I mean by “the thing beneath the thing”: The belief or self-story generating why the problem feels the way it doesContent vs. meaning-making (“Depth before Doing”)The trap of moving to action too fast (It produces compliance, not durable change.)Reasons coaches rush to action“I don't know” is rarely a dead end.Meet “Dana,” a hypothetical client (the key is to meet her where she is).Six practical moves for going deeper and expanding the lens: Ask about the story, ask what it means about them, name the energy shift, ask where the belief came from, slow down what they try to skip past, and resist the urge to solve too soon.Focus on belief and pattern work, not clinical trauma processing. The curiosity muscle vs. the knowing muscle frameworkResources:Connect with MegExplore our mentor program! Lee Benson, CEO of Execute to Win and Wall Street Journal bestselling author of "Your Most Important Number," and "Value Creation Family," believes families and organizations have something in common: they're perfectly designed to produce the results they get. In this conversation, Lee explains why removing every obstacle—whether for employees or children—often creates dependence instead of ownership. He explores why healthy struggle is essential for developing resilience, how creating value matters more than chasing success, why lowering expectations delays independence, and how the same leadership principles that build accountable organizations also build capable families. Whether you're leading a company, raising children, or doing both, this conversation offers practical insights for developing responsibility, resilience, and a lifelong commitment to creating value for others. Flag plant season is here, and this pair is not hedging. On this episode of the Dynasty Nerds Podcast, Garret Price and Andrew Mott name the players they are riding into 2026. Listen to This Episode:Apple PodcastsSpotifyYouTube Andrew plants his flag on Jayden Daniels for a top five finish, arguing the market badly overreacted to an injury riddled year two. Garret counters with Jalen Hurts, and he takes apart every knock one by one, the age narrative, the tush push, and the loss of a certain number one receiver. Then comes the one place these two actually disagree, and it involves Cam Skattebo and the arrival of Najee Harris. De'Von Achane gets a passionate defense despite the offense around him, Chris Olave draws an irrational buy from Andrew, and Tee Higgins might be the most gettable contending piece in dynasty right now. Emeka Egbuka is pegged for a top 15 finish, and both hosts land on the same tight end: Tyler Warren, with a target projection that will raise eyebrows. Line these up against the dynasty rankings and see who you agree with.

Healthcare has traditionally focused on treating problems after they arise. Keith Bozeman, the founder of MEDgevity, believes the model is shifting toward something more proactive: helping people understand, monitor, and improve their health before problems become more serious. In this episode, we sit down with Keith to explore the growing field of longevity medicine and the movement toward more personalized, data-driven healthcare. Founded from Keith's own experience as a patient, MEDgevity was created around the idea that people need more than a doctor they see when they're sick — they need a team helping them stay healthy in the first place… Hit play to learn about: How longevity medicine is changing the traditional healthcare model. The importance of preventive and proactive healthcare. Why personalized health requires more than a single medical perspective. The roles of physicians, registered dietitians, and exercise scientists. How diagnostics such as bloodwork, DEXA scans, and genetic testing can inform personalized care. As healthcare continues moving toward prevention, personalization, and continuous health management, the boundaries between medicine, fitness, nutrition, and wellness are becoming increasingly blurred. Get our anti-AI slop checklist: https://clickhubspot.com/lhug Most marketers have AI in the wrong order. Tool first, brain second. David Epstein, the #1 New York Times bestselling author of Range, explains why that order is quietly making your work worse, and gives Kipp the one rule that flips it.David's new book, Inside the Box, argues that constraints are what make people and companies better. Kipp puts that to the test against the reality of marketing in 2026: infinite tools, infinite output, and a growing pile of AI slop nobody reads. What follows is a set of exercises real teams use to think before they build: write the press release first, prototype the box before the product, ask "if we had half the budget, how would we do it," run a subtraction audit every quarter, and treat AI as the second step, never the first. WHAT WE COVER:→ Why "think fast, act slow" is the pattern behind most failed projects (16,000 of them)→ How Pixar keeps directors in story development for years, on purpose→ Tony Fadell's rule: write the press release at the start, not the end→ The Nest box test: if it doesn't fit on the box, it's not a priority→ Why the internet stripped marketing of its healthy constraints→ Getting the pain up front so it doesn't cost you 10x later→ Nobody wants a drill, they want a hole (and AI is a broom with a laser pointer)→ The feature-dump epidemic and why simplicity wins in a world of abundance→ Why everyone assumes you already know what they know→ Explore vs exploit: how Range and Inside the Box fit together→ What to say to a team that says "we're not resourced for this"→ How NASA found water on the Moon with half the budget→ Why Amazon forces frugality on people with unlimited money→ Brooks' Law: adding people to a late project makes it later→ The legacy constraint: "if we were going out of business in two years"→ Kipp's reboot question (teams would stop 80% of what they do)→ Sunk cost, design freeze, and the featuritis that sank US shipbuilding→ HipChat vs Slack and the difference between sunk cost and opportunity cost→ How David actually uses AI (and why he doesn't write with it)→ AI is GPS for your brain: the early research on AI and learning→ Brain first, tool second: the rule that stops AI slop→ What an "AI slob" is and how to know if you're one→ The subtraction audit: cut one thing every quarter Host: Kipp BodnarGuest: David Epstein, author of Range, The Sports Gene, and Inside the Box: How Constraints Make Us Better Loop: Outlearn. What if the thing blocking you from what you want isn't that you need to do more… but that you've been restricting who you really are?In this episode, I'm sharing one of the biggest realizations I've had while spending time in the South of France: you cannot restrict yourself and expect to receive the fullest version of your desires. When I first started my business in 2019, I had no idea what I was doing. I was experimenting, having fun, following what felt exciting, and honestly had very little expectation that any of it would work. And somehow… it worked. But somewhere along the way, things got serious.I started believing that in order to be taken seriously as a founder, CEO, mentor, and woman with a bigger platform, I needed to become a more polished, perfected, controlled version of myself. I began suppressing the silly, wild, playful parts of me because I thought becoming someone else would help me get what I wanted. Instead, my entire life became rigid. And eventually, so much of what I had been gripping onto fell away. That experience brought me back to something incredibly simple: the fullest version of you is the most magnetic version of you.In This Episode We Cover:Why having no expectations can make you more magneticHow trying to be taken seriously can disconnect you from who you actually areThe ways we unconsciously restrict ourselves to be chosen, loved, successful, accepted or seenWhy showing up as only half of yourself means people can only meet and choose half of youThe difference between discipline that feels good and restriction that disconnects you from yourselfWhy pleasure, play and freedom can be powerful parts of creating what you desireHow letting go of the need to control the outcome changes your energyWhy you don't need to contort yourself into someone else to get the relationship, money, body, business or life you wantMy G-Spot Theory and why you can't think your way into pleasure—you have to feel your way thereWhat Europe has been reminding me about slowing down, enjoying life and letting things be a little less seriousResources & Links✨ Join the waitlist for our NEW Brand & App: https://marleyrose.myflodesk.com/fxkkkd5bnd✨ Join my FREE live training: Clear Your Limiting Beliefs: www.marleyrose.ca/clear ✨ Get Your Free Trial to The Higher Self App: https://www.instagram.com/higherself.app/✨ Join House Of Freedom https://www.marleyrose.ca/houseoffreedom✨ Explore my programs and coaching opportunities: linktr.ee/marleyroseharrisConnect With MarleyInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/marleyroseharris/Website: https://www.marleyrose.ca/Email: hello@marleyrose.caYouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@marleyroseharrisLove The Podcast? If this episode resonated with you, I would be so grateful if you left a review.Send a screenshot of your review & email it to hello@marleyrose.ca and we'll send you a special gift as a thank you for supporting the show.Thank you for being here, angel. Entrepreneurship Requires Adaptability Jeter's company originally operated under the name Affairs of Isis Events. As public perception of the word "ISIS" changed due to global events, she faced increasing resistance from clients and audiences. Rather than allowing the issue to hinder growth, she successfully rebranded the company as Affairs of Influence (AOI Events & PR). Lesson: Successful entrepreneurs adapt when market conditions or public perceptions change. 3. Strategic Communication Is About Understanding Your Audience Jeter explained that effective communication begins with understanding what matters to consumers and delivering messages in ways that capture attention. She emphasized that businesses are no longer competing only against other brands. Lesson: Today's competition is for consumer attention. 4. Your Brand Is Your Reputation One of the strongest points in the conversation was Jeter's definition of branding. She explained that a brand is not a logo, color palette, website, or marketing material. Lesson: A brand is the reputation people associate with your business when you're not in the room. 5. Brand Activations Create Emotional Connections Jeter described brand activations as opportunities to create meaningful interactions between businesses and customers through events, experiences, partnerships, and community engagement. Successful activations allow consumers to connect emotionally with a brand. Lesson: People remember experiences more than advertisements. 6. Partnerships Accelerate Business Growth Early in her career, Jeter partnered with local elected officials, community leaders, and organizations to expand her visibility and credibility. These strategic partnerships helped her introduce her brand to larger audiences while building trust. Lesson: Borrowing credibility through trusted partnerships can accelerate business growth. 7. Marketing Should Be Planned, Not Reactive Jeter stressed that many entrepreneurs spend too much time creating products and too little time planning how to sell them. She recommends incorporating marketing into business planning from the beginning. Lesson: A great product without a marketing strategy often struggles to succeed. 8. Know Your Audience and Focus on Them Rather than trying to appeal to everyone, Jeter encouraged entrepreneurs to understand the demographics, behaviors, and interests of their ideal customers. Lesson: Niche marketing is more effective than attempting to reach everyone. 9. Customer Feedback Is Valuable Market Research Jeter discussed the importance of surveys, focus groups, think tanks, and direct conversations with customers. She regularly gathers feedback before launching products, services, and initiatives. Lesson: Let customers help shape what you create. 10. Build Solutions Based on Needs Women in Media Global was born after Jeter observed a lack of female representation in media and entertainment. Rather than simply criticizing the issue, she created a platform designed to address it. Lesson: Great businesses and organizations often emerge from solving unmet needs. Notable Quotes Danielle Jeter on Strategic Communication "Our competition is the attention of our buyers." Danielle Jeter on Branding "Your brand is your reputation." In this practical session from the Expositors Collective training event at Reliance Church in Temecula, California, Bryan Stupar introduces the inductive Bible study method. He defines it as slowing down to observe what the Bible says, understand what it means, and respond with worship and obedience.Inductive Bible study helps us move from asking, “What do I want the text to say?” to asking, “What is God communicating through this passage?” Instead of beginning with our preferred conclusion and searching Scripture for support, we begin with the biblical text and allow it to guide us toward its intended meaning.Bryan walks through the three movements of inductive Bible study—observation, interpretation, and application—and offers accessible practices that can strengthen personal study and sermon preparation. These include reading repeatedly, listening to Scripture aloud, comparing translations, identifying repeated words, studying context, recognizing literary genres, and allowing Scripture to interpret Scripture. The ultimate goal, however, is not merely accumulating biblical information. We study Scripture to encounter the risen Christ, know the Father, respond to the Holy Spirit, and become people whose lives increasingly display the love, peace, joy, and kindness of Jesus. In this episodeA simple definition of inductive Bible studyMoving from “What do I want the text to say?” to “What is God communicating?”The difference between inductive and deductive approachesWhy familiarity with a passage is not the same as understanding itRecognizing the assumptions and cultural ideas we bring to ScriptureThe importance of slowing downObservation: What does the text say?Why Bryan listens to a biblical book dozens of timesComparing translations and identifying repeated wordsAsking who, what, when, where, why, and howInterpretation: What does the text mean? Why context is criticalAllowing Scripture to interpret ScriptureUnderstanding literary genresIdentifying the author's main pointApplication: How should this text change me?Praying Scripture honestlyMoving from biblical knowledge to spiritual transformationThe three movements of inductive Bible studyObservation: What does the text say?Read the passage repeatedly. Listen to it aloud. Compare reliable translations. Look for repeated words and phrases. Ask basic questions about the author, audience, setting, structure, and literary form.Interpretation: What does the text mean?Study the immediate and broader context. Ask what comes before and after the passage. Let Scripture interpret Scripture, follow cross-references, recognize the genre, and identify the author's main point.Application: How should the text change me?Ask what the Holy Spirit is calling you to believe, obey, confess, or trust God for. Turn the passage into prayer and respond with concrete obedience.About Bryan StuparLearn more about Bryan Stupar and Calvary SLO:https://www.calvaryslo.com/about/our-team/member/102862/About Expositors CollectiveExpositors Collective exists to equip, encourage, and mentor the next generation of Christ-centred preachers. Player coach management breaks down the same way every time: the player work wins and the coaching slides. If you lead a team and carry your own deliverables, you already know how the week goes. The player work has deadlines and escalations. Coaching has none of that on a Tuesday, so the one on ones come off the calendar first, starting with the people who seem fine. In this episode, Lia breaks down what that costs you and your team, and the three moves that get you back into the coach half of the job this week.In this episode you will learn:Why the player half of the job always wins when you're spread thinThe high performers most at risk while you're heads down on your own deliverablesHow to make one on ones survivable at 15 to 30 minutes every other weekWhy status updates don't belong in your one on one, and where to put them insteadThe one question to ask about every piece of work that lands on your plateWhat it means when the answer to that question is no, every single timeResources mentioned:Weekly team check-in tool: liagarvin.com/snippetsAdvisory and manager training: liagarvin.com/contactDownload my FREE guide to making hard conversations with your team easier at liagarvin.com/convoLooking for support for yourself of your team? 131. Should Moms Intermittent Fast? What a Dietitian Wants You to Know

Intermittent fasting is everywhere right now. The promise? Drop body fat fast just by changing when you eat. But most of that advice wasn't designed for a mom's body. In this episode, Brooke, a registered dietitian and lactation counselor, breaks down whether intermittent fasting actually works for women, how it shifts across different life stages, and what she recommends to the busy moms she works with every day. If you've ever wondered whether IF is safe while breastfeeding, whether a 16-hour fast is realistic with kids' schedules, or whether skipping breakfast is actually hurting you, this episode is for you. What You'll Learn Why intermittent fasting is not recommended in the first 6 months postpartum, especially while exclusively breastfeeding How under-eating while breastfeeding can affect milk supply Why a gentle 12-hour fasting window is generally safe for most women, and how it naturally happens already The truth about whether intermittent fasting is required for weight loss (spoiler: it's not) What research from the University of Illinois Chicago found about shortening eating windows in pre- and postmenopausal women Why weight loss really comes down to a calorie deficit, and why "low calorie" doesn't always mean nutrient-dense The difference between a 12-hour fast and a 16-hour fast, and why longer fasts are a bigger ask for busy moms Why skipping breakfast is one of the biggest mistakes moms make, and why a high-protein, high-fiber breakfast matters more How intermittent fasting affects hormones differently in men vs. women, and why so much of the research gap still exists Signs that intermittent fasting may not be right for your body, including restriction mindset, bingeing, and disrupted sleep Why mental load, not metabolism, is often the biggest reason IF doesn't work for busy moms A simpler, more sustainable approach to eating that doesn't require tracking or timing windows Intermittent fasting isn't required to lose weight or feel your best, and it's definitely not one-size-fits-all for women. The real key is high-protein, macro-friendly meals that fit your actual life, without the mental load of timing every bite. Loved this episode?
