Monarch butterflies crossing a continent. Peregrine falcons above Manhattan. A giant lemur most of the world had never heard of, until one man pointed a camera at it. For seventy years, Sir David Attenborough has been asking us to look - really look - at the world we share with three and a half billion years' worth of other life. This week, Christiana Figueres, Tom Rivett-Carnac, and Paul Dickinson mark the 100th birthday of the world's longest-serving television presenter. To celebrate, they're reaching into the archives to share the very first episode of the podcast - a conversation recorded in person with their friend Sir David himself, at the Attenborough Centre in Cambridge in 2019.They also take stock of seven years of Outrage + Optimism, and on a world that's changed since that first episode dropped. What's moved faster than anyone expected, what's gone sideways, and what still keeps us at night? Then Sir David. On why young people's outrage is entirely justified. On what the natural world actually needs from us. On the rare moments in history when nations chose agreement over conflict. And on why understanding might be the thing that saves us.Learn More:

In this episode, Michael welcomes Aycee Brown. Aycee is a psychic medium, astrologer, spiritual guide, teacher, and the host of the popular podcast Is My Aura On Straight?. Through her work, she helps people break free from inherited identities, trauma patterns, and limiting beliefs so they can live fully expressed, intuitive, and aligned lives. Aycee's book, Embody Your Magic , offers practical tools for healing, self-discovery, and stepping into your true power. Conversation Highlights Include: -Growing up with intuitive gifts and how early validation created a sense of safety, even when the outside world didn't understand. -A grounded definition of "embodying your magic" as living fully, meaningfully, and making an impact in everyday interactions. -Finding joy, presence, and connection in simple moments, and why those experiences are more powerful than they seem. -Why healing requires action, not just understanding, and how doing the work creates real transformation. -The "canyon" as a metaphor for shadow work, and why going deeper—not avoiding pain—is where true healing begins. -How uncovering your origin story brings clarity, validation, and the ability to finally release what was never yours. -Seeing generational and ancestral patterns as a through line that can be understood, interrupted, and transformed. -Reframing painful experiences in a way that frees you from shame, abandonment, and inherited emotional weight. -Understanding intuition as a natural ability that returns as you heal, clear emotional blocks, and reconnect with yourself. -Moving from survival into a life of intention, joy, and expansion by taking small, consistent steps forward. Next, a closing meditation guided by Michael invites stillness, awareness of the breath, and a deeper connection to your True nature.
Explore health and disease, not as fixed states but as a dynamic spectrum. Learn how herbal medicine can uniquely support people at every stage of this journey by matching the strength of the remedy to the severity of the imbalance, rather than waiting for diagnosable disease to set in. Here's what you'll learn: Why health and disease are better understood as a continuum, rather than a binary The concept of "homeodynamis" and why balance is always in motion 7 key stages of health: the enlightened state, peak health, constitutional imbalance, acute sickness or injury, generalized illness, disease, and death How early imbalances show up before diagnosable disease Why herbal medicine excels in the "in between" stages that conventional medicine often overlooks How to match herb strength, dosage, and strategy to each stage of imbalance When mild nutritive herbs are appropriate, and when stronger remedies are required Why lifestyle and diet must come before herbs in many cases How constitutional patterns shape both resilience and vulnerability ———————————— CONNECT WITH SAJAH AND WHITNEY ———————————— To get free in depth mini-courses and videos, visit our blog at: http://www.evolutionaryherbalism.com Get daily inspiration and plant wisdom on our Facebook and Instagram channels: http://www.facebook.com/EvolutionaryHerbalism https://www.instagram.com/evolutionary_herbalism/ Be sure to subscribe to our YouTube Channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCyP63opAmcpIAQg1M9ShNSQ Get a free 5-week course when you buy a copy of the book, Evolutionary Herbalism: https://www.evolutionaryherbalism.com/evolutionary-herbalism-book/ Shop our herbal products: https://naturasophiaspagyrics.com/ ———————————— ABOUT THE PLANT PATH ———————————— The Plant Path is a window into the world of herbal medicine. "The work is never done. You just become a different version of yourself." In this Case Study episode, Heather and Tara Morse dig into how she built her practice by following a path that didn't always make sense to others and navigating skepticism while staying anchored in what she knew was right for her. This conversation moves beyond surface-level change and into the real work: learning to shift from rumination into self-awareness, choosing how you want to feel, and taking action from that place, and developing the kind of self-trust that can only come from doing hard things on purpose. Because at the end of the day, growth shows up in the uncomfortable moments where you're asked to trust yourself before you feel ready, and you can't outsource feeling whole. What to listen for: ☑️ Why moving from rumination into self-awareness is essential for change ☑️ One of the first big hurdles in growth is having enough self-trust to get support ☑️ The importance of understanding where we are to understand where to go next "A lot of that is honestly getting to that point where you're expanding, then you're uncomfortable, and then you have this felt experience of, 'I did it.' If we don't challenge ourselves, make ourselves uncomfortable, and put ourselves in those situations, there's no self-trust." ☑️ In order to have that felt experience of self-trust, you have to challenge yourself ☑️ Why hard skills are cheap and emotional intelligence and soft skills matter most ☑️ We can't outsource feeling whole, and no technology is going to change that "It's always going to be the small actions. I had to let myself feel what I was feeling. I knew that was part of it. But then I had to make a choice that I didn't want to feel this way anymore. So part of that action was taking the step, reaching out for help." ☑️ The work isn't waiting for motivation; it's embodying discipline in necessary ways ☑️ The only thing that creates transformation is boundaries that you hold with yourself ☑️ How increasing your capacity can increase your sense of lightness at the same time *** About Tara Morse: Tara Morse is a licensed therapist, entrepreneur, and the founder of 3Rivers Therapists, a multi-location mental health practice serving children, adolescents, and adults across Pennsylvania. With more than 15 years of experience in the field, Tara has dedicated her career to helping both clients and helping professionals build resilience and create sustainable paths forward. As a business owner, leader, wife, and mother, Tara is passionate about the intersection of mental health, leadership, and entrepreneurship. In this conversation, Laura breaks down the nag paradox, weaponized incompetence, and the invisible emotional labor that disproportionately falls on women in heterosexual partnerships. She shares how she and her partner had to “burn it down” and rebuild their relationship from the ground up after years of simmering resentment, and why explicit communication and shared responsibility are essential to lasting intimacy. Target Market Insights: Multifamily Real Estate Marketing Tips
This week, learn why waiting until you feel ready to raise capital is the exact mindset keeping you on the sideline. John Casmon makes the case that you will never feel fully ready, and that confidence comes from preparation. In this episode, John breaks down three practical steps to start raising capital today: building your reps, assembling the right team, and shifting your focus from yourself to the people you are trying to serve. Make sure to download our free guide, 7 Questions Every Passive Investor Should Ask, here. Key Takeaways Confidence comes from preparation. Act first, and the feeling of readiness develops from there Analyze deals, talk to people in the marketplace, and find mentors or coaches to build your reps Build a team that offsets your experience gaps so you do not have to be the expert on everything yourself Overcome imposter syndrome by being resourceful and knowing where to find solutions Raise capital when you are not under pressure, before you have a live deal or after you have already closed Shift your focus from your own fear of rejection to educating and serving potential investors Topics Why Waiting Until You're Ready Is a Mistake John opens by challenging the belief that you need more experience before raising capital He argues directly that you are never going to feel ready, and that continuing to wait only delays progress The gap is rooted in preparation and reps, and those are things you can act on today Building Confidence Through Reps Confidence comes from putting in the work: analyzing deals, talking to people in the marketplace, and working with mentors or coaches John uses an NFL draft analogy: rookies have never played a professional game, but they draw on their football experience and translate it to the next level Transferable skills count. Experience managing a budget, running a business, or investing in smaller residential properties can all translate meaningfully to multifamily The benchmark is doing enough preparation that you know what you are talking about, and you can build toward that starting today Aligning Yourself with the Right Team Whatever you lack in experience, offset it with team members who have it: property managers, partners, analysts, brokers, coaches John revisits the rookie analogy: no team drafts a first-year player and hands them the franchise. They pair them with veterans who complement their skill set Building a credible, well-rounded team is how you present a compelling picture to potential investors regardless of where you are in your career Coaching and mentoring adds direct value here. Having experienced people on your side removes the pressure of carrying all the expertise yourself Overcoming Imposter Syndrome Imposter syndrome is rooted in being too focused on yourself: your gaps, your fears, and your ego Investors want you to know more than they do and to be resourceful enough to find solutions. That is the standard, and it is achievable John shares a personal story: a former colleague unsubscribed from his investor newsletter early in his capital-raising journey, and he initially took it personally He later recognized the real lesson. He had not conveyed the right message to the right audience. The feedback was about positioning, and it had nothing to do with him personally The practical response to imposter syndrome is sharing your journey openly, letting people learn about you over time, and focusing on being of service Raising Capital When You Don't Need the Money The best time to raise capital is when there is no live deal pressure, either before you have identified a deal or after you have already closed and can share openly what you are working through When you are communicating without a funding deadline looming, you come across with authentic confidence Pressure is detectable. Potential investors will sense desperation, and it undermines trust The goal is to present opportunities and let people decide if it is the right fit Shifting Focus from Yourself to Serving Others John frames the entire challenge of capital raising as a mindset problem. You are too focused on your own feelings and your own fear of rejection When someone does not invest, it is rarely personal. It is usually a messaging or fit issue, and it is feedback worth learning from Your job is to get in front of the right people with the right message and the right opportunity. Finding those people is where your energy belongs When you focus on how you can serve and educate potential investors, the conversation changes entirely
If you're like most people who have been working with the mind, you've probably done the reframing — taking situations and finding ways to see them in a more positive light. You've probably worked on positive thinking, tried affirmations or meditation, and explored a variety of different practices to shift your mindset. And yet, so often, people do these very things and the healing they're reaching for still doesn't come. In today's episode, Brandy opens up a deeper level of the mind that most people aren't seeing — and shares how these very practices can sometimes mask what is actually calling for attention underneath. This episode offers a simple but powerful "aha" that can help you think about the mind in a whole new way. So often, people assume the issue is stress, negativity, hurt, or trauma. But the deeper pattern may be connected to something else entirely — the way someone sees themselves, the way they see the world, or subconscious patterns they may not have even thought to look at. It's an insight that can change where you look — and what becomes possible once you do. Do you want to see proof of the power of the mind in a medical journal? Here's a demonstration of Brandy Gillmore working with volunteers under medical equipment, as featured in a medical journal. I did something I've been called to do for a long time. I went to Dr. Joe Dispenza's seven-day retreat -- and honestly, I'm still integrating everything that happened. This week's episode is me pulling back the curtain and sharing the whole experience. The meditations, the surrender, the healing stories I witnessed, and the moments I genuinely cannot explain but know were real. Including this: 99.99% of reality is not physical matter. It's energy in the quantum field. We are literally only seeing .01% of what's real. Mind glown. ✨ What Dr. Joe teaches about heart-brain coherence is something I also weave into my Intuitive Life Designer® Coach Academy, because I've seen it work. It is a practical, embodied doorway to healing. And I watched people walk through it in real time. Including me. During the HeartMath one-day event in Sedona January, 2020. You're not stuck because you're not doing enough. You're stuck because you're doing too much… without knowing what's actually working. Posting more. Adding platforms. Trying everything. But if someone asked you right now, what's actually bringing in clients? Would you have a clear answer? Or would you go quiet? In this direct and tactical solo episode, George breaks down one of the biggest mistakes entrepreneurs are making right now: Confusing activity with effectiveness. In a world where attention is shrinking and content is exploding, being on every platform is no longer a strategy, it's a distraction. George introduces a simple but powerful framework to help you identify what's actually working in your business, eliminate what isn't, and double down on the channels that truly drive results. This episode is your permission slip to stop doing more… and start doing what matters. What You'll Learn In This Episode: Why being on every platform is hurting your business The difference between activity vs actual results What “channel anxiety” is and how it shows up Why attention is the scarcest resource in today's market How to define what “working” actually means The 4-step framework to validate your marketing channels Why vanity metrics are misleading (and what to track instead) How to make confident, data-driven decisions in your business Key Takeaways: ✔️More channels ≠ more results. Clarity wins. ✔️Being busy is not the same as being effective. ✔️Attention is limited, doing less, better is the advantage. ✔️Vanity metrics (likes, followers, reach) do not equal growth. ✔️Real metrics = conversations, leads, and sales. ✔️Treat every channel like an experiment, not a commitment. ✔️Cutting what doesn't work is a strategic move, not failure. ✔️Relationships, not platforms, are what actually grow your business. Are you actually treating the right thing… or just what's obvious?Because those are very different. And if you're missing the real driver of your patient's symptoms…No amount of exercises, techniques, or experience is going to fix it.In this episode, Nicole sits down with athletic trainer and educator Anna Hartman to dive into a completely different way of thinking about assessment, treatment, and what it really means to be an effective clinician.Anna brings a unique blend of: Orthopedic rehab Osteopathic and visceral approaches High-level work with professional athletes and Navy SEAL candidates And the result is a perspective that challenges a lot of what we've been taught. We cover: Why assessment—not treatment—is the most important skill you have The difference between treating symptoms vs finding the true driver Why “results in 1–3 visits” isn't about shortcuts—it's about precision How ego gets in the way of clinical progress (more than you think) What it actually means to “trust what you feel” as a clinician Why repetition—not information—is the key to real skill development This conversation will push you.It might even make you a little uncomfortable. But if you're willing to question your assumptions and level up your clinical thinking…There's a lot here.Anna HartmanA huge 'thank you' to Anna for being on the podcast and sharing her wisdom with all of us. Have you ever had one of those days where it feels like the whole world woke up on the wrong side of the bed, and everyone you interact with is just a little bit rude? This past weekend, I had an experience at a restaurant where I was surrounded by unkindness, until one stranger stepped in and completely changed the trajectory of my day. In this episode, we are going to talk about the magic of shifting our focus away from the people who drain us, and actively seeking out the smiling faces that the Universe always provides. He asks how to honor both callings while balancing family life, responsibility, and timing. Our next letter comes from Amy in Boston, MA: After an upsetting incident, Amy finds herself stuck in a loop of replaying it and feeling like she's failed. Amidst a long catalog of previous BFTA stories featuring complex or developmental PTSD, today's story is one of classic DSM-style PTSD, it's a story of both medical and parenting trauma, of facing the fear of annihilation and death. In this three part story, first we hear Tracy tell of the increasingly severe medical challenges of her children, then Tracy flashes back to describe her own terrifying emergency hospitalization as a 5 year old, then finally we trace Tracy's treatment journey through traditional psychotherapy and eventual MDMA-assisted therapy as she tries to find a way to calm her nervous system and find peace.Support the show! https://www.buzzsprout.com/396871/supportBringing Therapy into Med Management-- An intensive workshop for psych NPs and PAs, June 3-6 2026 in Ft Collinshttps://www.craigheacockmd.com/bringing-therapy-into-med-management/"I Love You, I Hate You, Are You My Mom?" Your body doesn't know the difference between a tiger… and an email. Every time you suppress stress, push through emotions, or ignore what you feel, it doesn't disappear. It stacks. And eventually… it breaks you. In this powerful and eye-opening conversation, George is joined by Nic Monteforte, leadership expert, high-performance coach, and author of Infinite Capacity, to break down the real reason so many entrepreneurs burn out. Nic shares her journey from managing thousands of people and leading a $250M company… to losing everything, not because she lacked strength, but because she was living in constant stress. Together, they explore how stress actually works in the body, why most people never complete the stress cycle, and how “stress debt” builds over time until it leads to burnout. This episode isn't about eliminating stress, because you can't. It's about learning how to process it, release it, and reclaim your capacity. What You'll Learn In This Episode: Why your body reacts the same to emails as it does to real danger The concept of “stress debt” and how it builds over time Why suppressing emotions is the root cause of burnout The difference between being stressed vs staying stressed What “infinite capacity” actually means How to complete the stress cycle in real time Simple tools to regulate your nervous system throughout the day How to increase clarity, energy, and performance without burnout Key Takeaways: ✔️Stress is not the problem, suppression is. ✔️Stress = suppressed emotions (energy that never got released). ✔️Stress stacks over time like layers until it collapses into burnout. ✔️You can't eliminate stress, but you can complete the cycle. ✔️60 seconds of physical movement can reset your entire nervous system. ✔️Most people stay stuck because they never process what they feel. ✔️True capacity comes from removing internal “blocks,” not doing more. ✔️Calm isn't something you chase, it's something you create internally. Timestamps & Highlights: [00:00] – Why your body treats emails like life-or-death threats [02:00] – Nic's story: success, burnout, and losing everything [06:00] – What “capacity” really means [10:00] – Stress = suppressed emotions explained [14:00] – The buildup of stress layers (stress debt) [18:00] – Why burnout happens (and how it sneaks up) [20:00] – Completing the stress cycle (practical tools) [25:00] – Physical hacks to reset your nervous system [30:00] – Why movement is the fastest way to regulate stress [35:00] – Removing internal blocks to unlock performance [40:00] – The shift from reaction → response [45:00] – Building a calm, high-capacity life Connect with Nic Monteforte Nic Monteforte is a leadership expert, high-performance coach, and author of Infinite Capacity.
