Join Tina and Angie Cisneros at their table to discuss cooking and recipes, taste-testing, and different pop culture topics each week! New episodes release on Sunday.
We are back with a vengeance for season 2! Listen as we discuss repulsive goldfish flavors, the Bourbon Jungle Bird, delicious cheese, and why being racist and xenophobic only hurts everyone.
Welcome to our first minisode! We have been moving and have been so busy, so enjoy our first minisode about Parks and Recreation. It's a good one.
This week, we delve into Helmet Nachos, wild stadium treats, and some crazy stories from the world of baseball!
Here at Our Sunday Table, we make every effort to produce the best podcast episodes possible. Unfortunately, due to reasons that are unbeknownst to us, occasionally we lose our entire edited version of an episode and are forced to go back and re-edit. Tina spends an average of 6 1/2 hours editing each episode, which makes it all the more disheartening when she discovers that all the time she spent editing the episode was lost. This happened this week, and Tina just didn't have the time to go back and spend another 7 hours to re-edit the episode. She did a quick-and-dirty edit of cutting out pee breaks and occasionally cutting long pauses, but everything else has been left in. That said, most of the editing that Tina does is eliminating unpleasant noises, such as excessive "like"s and "um"s, snorting, stammering, throat clearing, loud breaths, hesitations, and extended pauses. We also will occasionally edit our telling of stories to make them more concise, and eliminate repeated words or phrases. We also edit for length. Therefore, this episode might be a little more rough around the edges than our other ones, but feel free to use your 15 second skip ahead button! Due to its lackadaisical editing, this is actually a really cool episode because it is the closest you can get to being in the room with us! So, enjoy our (nearly) UNCUT episode about Steak Caesar Salad and Caesar Salad facts, the new Lay's Potato Chip flavors, and our favorite teen movies of the 90's. As if! This week, we try our hand at frying chicken to make some fried chicken sandwiches that will knock your socks off! We also share some fun food urban legends, specifically those of rats in fried chicken. During our taste test, we eat pop rocks and drink coke to see if we die! We also have Heinz Mayochup and Seven Layer Dip Combos. Then, we talk about some of our favorite urban legends - Kuchisake-Onna, The Loveland Frog, and a spooky tale of The Licked Hand! All that and more in episode 3 of Our Sunday Table! Intro and Outro is Jazzy Ashes by The Underscore Orkestra from freemusicarchive.org.
The episode so nice, we edited it twice! This episode is sponsored by the Coca-Cola company and Netflix's Queer Eye. Not really, but we do make a mean Shepherd's Pie, call out culinary whitewashing, sample strange Coca-Cola flavors, and discuss JVN's favorite topic, self-care. We haven't quite figured out Audacity yet, so our outro plays over the last few seconds of the show, but hey, what are you going to do. You can find us on Spotify, Google Podcasts, Stitcher, and SoundCloud but iTunes still thinks we are in test mode, so hopefully that will be coming to you sooner than later. In our first episode, we eat pizza, try flavored peeps, discuss our favorite women, and share some of last week's news. Music is Jazzy Ashes by the Underscore Orkestra
