This week on the podcast, we're talking about how coming out never really stops. It seems as though we are constantly coming out with every new person we meet... But should we have to?

To celebrate our first birthday, this week we’re bringing back one of our very first podcasts! #TheSquad™ talk about their first Pride experiences, what Pride means to them and how it's changed over time. Listening back on this, even WE have changed over the past year and it is amazing and sometimes shocking just how much change the world can see in one year... and how much change we can see in ourselves. We have learned SO much over the past year, about ourselves, our Community and the world in general. That is all because of everyone out there listening, making sure we are the most informed, best versions of ourselves that we can be. Much Love!

On this week's @thegayagendayyc podcast, #TheSquad™ is talking all about privilege.  We have all seen the effects of privilege first hand at some time in our lives, and for most of us have felt the sting of being on the wrong side of that privilege.  And if you HAVEN'T ever seen or noticed any kind of differential treatment of people for no specific reason, does that mean YOU'RE the privileged one? Do we gotta have a chat? So we gonna have a sit-down and unpack that for y'all!  

This week on the podcast, #TheSquad™ takes a deep dive into recent legislation concerning Gay/Straight Alliances (GSAs) in Alberta schools. There are some that believe parents should have the right to know whether their children are in such a group, whereas others want to protect their anonymity as it is their personal right to freedom and privacy to express who they are. As it has been as it has been a hot button issue in Alberta for a few years, opinions (like always) are polarized.
