Are Women Being Taught How To Be Wives Anymore? Double Standards, Colorism and Dating For Marriage

Part Two with celebrity chef Chef Cream gets even more controversial as we dive into dating, marriage, masculinity, race, colorism, and the double standards between men and women. We start with a woman who says she's only interested in men who are intentionally dating for marriage—but are men and women actually being prepared to become good husbands and wives? We debate fathers who teach their daughters to stay single, distrust men, and “be a boss” versus also teaching them what it takes to build a healthy relationship with a man. Then things get uncomfortable: Should a husband feel disrespected if another man is overly complimenting his wife? Why do some men completely lose their composure around beautiful women? And is it ever okay to say the N-word around white people, even if you're not talking to them? We also react to Blueface calling a woman a “good darkskin” and debate whether the comment was a compliment, colorist, or just poorly worded. Plus, we get into the sexual double standard: Why are men celebrated for having multiple sexual partners while women are judged for doing the same thing—and should either one be judged at all? Finally, things take a wild turn when a surrogate mother changes her mind and disappears with the baby. Dating for marriage, husbands and wives, male and female double standards, colorism, relationships, sex, race, respect, and much more—nothing is off limits on Part Two with Chef Cream.

Double standards are easy to recognize when they are being used against us, but much harder to notice when we are the ones benefiting from them.In this episode, I explore how double standards show up in relationships, friendships, workplaces, parenting, social media, and even in the way we judge success. We often expect honesty, loyalty, respect, and accountability from other people while making exceptions for ourselves. This conversation is about more than fairness. It is about self-awareness, consistency, integrity, and being willing to examine our own behavior before criticizing someone else's.Before calling out another person's double standard, we should ask ourselves an uncomfortable question: are we doing the same thing?Let's talk about it.The story continues.

Remco Evenepoel reportedly dropped around nine pounds for the Tour with barely a murmur, while Pauline Ferrand-Prévot's weight loss dominated the coverage last year. We ask why the reaction differs by sex, and where the line sits between periodised, medically supervised leanness and a genuine eating-disorder risk.(19:42) That Montmartre finale, with Van der Poel and Pogačar breaking clear on the last climb, van der Poel's heroic's to hold off the chasing pack, and Jasper Philipsen's remarkable judgement to "win" by not winning against his team-mate. Plus, we ponder whether the GC should really be neutralised so early on the final day? We say let them race.(32:37) The headline this week: why testing alone rarely catches the big fish, and why investigation and targeted testing do. Prompted by the furore over 2am and 5am testing at the Tour, we hear from Brett Clothier of the Athletics Integrity Unit, and explain the biological passport, the micro-dosing of EPO, fast-clearance methods, gene-doping fears, and why a genuinely "transparent" statement about a target test is close to impossible without prejudicing everyone involved.(46:26) A look ahead to the women's Tour de France, the contenders including Vollering, Blasi, Niewiadoma, Ferrand-Prévot and Reusser. With storylines galore, it features the return of a time trial, and French TV figures showing the women's race is closer to the men's than you might expect.(51:48) Are the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow still worth watching without the stars? Gareth is won over by the weightlifting, and we ask whether you really need the very best in the world to enjoy sport.(58:49) The Ultimate Championship, athletics' new 10 million dollar, three-night, TV-first format, complete with a black infield, real-time win probabilities, Mondo Duplantis on stadium DJ duty, and no country quotas. We react, and Ross pitches what he would add to the broadcast(64:16) Josh Kerr reveals how the pacing lights were slowed over the final 100 metres of his mile record to create the illusion he was beating them. Clever theatre, or are we being deceived?(67:00) And finally, Discourse member Ana sets off on a 15,000km "big lap" of Australia on her gravel bike. We wish her luck, and start plotting the data she should share with our listener community!LinksThis is the ITA statement during the Tour - it's really all they can say and expecting more is a day dream! The article on gene doping - speculative and sounds like sci-fi, but might it be happeningThe paper on micro-dosing and detection challengesPlugge on how the tests brought doping back to cyclingPreview of the TDF for WomenDetails on the World Athletics Ultimate Championships Hosted on Acast. Why is a woman's absence of a father used to explain her "behaviour," while a man's absence from his own child is barely questioned at all? In this episode, we're unpacking the exhausting double standard where women are held responsible not just for what happens to them, but for how they respond to it. Inspired by Jasmine Gaziza Müller's essay "Gateway Misogyny & Red Pill Microdosing," we dig into how small comments, jokes, and stereotypes act as a gateway to bigger beliefs about women and how the phrase "fatherless behaviour" shifts blame onto the woman carrying the wound instead of the person who left it. We talk about absence in all its forms: physical, emotional, and the quiet refusal to take accountability and why someone else always seems to pick up the slack. We also get into the strange double standard around softness: how "soft" is used to mock men for showing empathy, yet somehow becomes an insult when thrown at women too. Plus the tired "feminist vs. relationship material" myth, why gold digger accusations don't add up, and a few real tangents on friendship, independence, and the Oscar Pistorius case - Reeva Steenkamp that still sits with us. This isn't about blaming all men or excusing women's mistakes. It's about asking why we keep applying different rules depending on gender and what it would actually look like to hold everyone to the same standard of emotional accountability. Have you ever noticed how quickly we demand justice when someone hurts us, yet we beg for grace when we make a mistake? It is easy to hold others to a perfect standard while expecting endless mercy for ourselves. In this powerful message, we dive deep into what happens when we flip the scale and look at the radical, unconventional way God calls us to love. Through the lens of Scripture, we uncover the danger of harboring bitterness and the liberating freedom that comes from extending the same grace we have been freely given. If you have been struggling to forgive, feeling weighed down by resentment, or trying to navigate difficult relationships, this sermon is for you. God's grace is not just a gift for us to keep—it is a lifeline we are called to pass on. Scriptures Covered: Romans 12:9-21: Overcoming evil with good and living peaceably. Matthew 18:21-35: The parable of the unmerciful servant. Ephesians 4:17 & 5:1: Walking in a new way and imitating God. 1 Peter 4:8: Loving deeply because love covers a multitude of sins. Hebrews 12:15: Guarding against the poisonous root of bitterness. Don't forget to Like, Subscribe, and Share this video with someone who needs this reminder today!

We were blessed to be recording IRL at the Homewood Hotel and Spa (tysm to them!).Influencer, author and infamous 'scammer' Caroline Calloway made a public return to discourse last week with a new piece detailing her experience on Ozempic. Known for flower crowns, long IG captions in the 2010s and a viral creativity workshop where she charged hundreds of dollars for sharing her own posts, Calloway's essay sparked a big discussion around GLP-1s and the usefulness of weight loss transparency in 2026.Next up, Olivia Wilde is back on a press run, and this one looks very different to her last. When a powerful man says, “She's not my type,” and a jury (actually, multiple juries) finds that man liable for sexual abuse and defamation, that's not just a headline — that's a masterclass in what it takes for a woman to be believed in America. In this episode, writer, journalist, and Not My Type: One Woman vs. a President author E. Jean Carroll joins Nicole to talk about truth, power, paperclips, and what actually happens when you drag a president into court and win. Twice. We talk about the facts, the stories we build around those facts, and why so many people will twist themselves into a pretzel to excuse powerful men while shredding women who speak up. We get into: What actually happened in court — beyond the headlines, hot takes, and Twitter warriors How clothes became her armor and why what she wore in court mattered more than you'd think The “not my type” moment, the infamous deposition photo, and how Trump accidentally proved his own lie Why her sexual history was dragged into the trial — and how she took back that narrative with joy Trauma responses, laughter in the dressing room, and why “if you didn't scream it doesn't count” is garbage How mock juries forced her legal team to reckon with ageism, beauty standards, and who we think is “believable” What she plans to do with the tens of millions awarded in damages — and why giving it away is part of her resistance strategy The big questions this case raises: What does a woman have to do to be believed? And what does a powerful man have to do to be held accountable?  Because this isn't just E. Jean Carroll's story. It's a mirror held up to how we treat women, power, and truth — and a reminder that one 80-something woman can still change the story for all of us. Thank you to our sponsors! On Tuesday's Mark Levin Show, there's no reason to sell 100 F-35's to Turkey. Erdogan is a national-socialist Islamist, a brutal dictator, key backer of the Muslim Brotherhood and Hamas, and a completely unreliable member of NATO. He threatened to destroy Israel the other day, and the administration not only said nothing but went ahead with the F-35 and jet engine sales and will lift all sanctions against Turkey, and we are doing so while lavishly praising Erdogan. This is troubling and it will have to be dealt with by future American administrations for decades to come. It was absolutely unnecessary. Meanwhile, we praise Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, Turkey while criticizing Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and pushing him to make all kinds of concessions to Hamas and Hezbollah. Also, the Democrat Party and its Senate leadership endorsed, and backed Graham Platner despite multiple red flags, including allegations of physically abusing a woman, a Nazi concentration camp guard tattoo he claimed ignorance of, offensive Reddit posts, and mockery of wounded military veterans. None of these crossed a line for them. But Sen Bernie Sanders and a line of Democrats have finally urged him to exit the race, after he was accused of rape – but he hasn't left the race yet. Later, Mark Levin spoke at Christians United for Israel in Washington and stressed the unbreakable unity between Christians and Jews as weekend people against enemies who seek to kill them all, with no distinctions made. We will not any high-office candidate who fails to denounce the Woke Reich. We will lead a mass movement to push back against opposing politicians. Learn more about your ad choices. Join Jim and Craig as they discuss Team USA's historic World Cup win, a weak June jobs report, and the hypocrisy of the media deeming it unfair to call the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) communists while being quick to call those on the right fascists.First, Jim and Craig celebrate the success of Team USA in the first elimination round of the World Cup, defeating Bosnia and Herzegovina 2-0 in the knockout round. They highlight the significance of this victory heading into the country's 250th anniversary.Next, Jim and Craig break down the Bureau of Labor Statistics' June jobs report, where the unemployment rate ticked down to 4.2 percent but the U.S. added only 57,000 jobs against an expected 115,000. They point to the labor force shrinking by 720,000 people from May to June as a sign of a discouraged workforce. Finally, Craig and Jim highlight that Republicans get called fascists like clockwork, while CNN's Kaitlan Collins rushes to argue it's unfair to call DSA communists. They mention New York Democratic congressional candidate Dalisa Avila Chevalier, who has called herself a communist and supports abolishing the police, as evidence the label holds up. Jim notes some DSA members openly say they want to seize the means of production. Please visit our great sponsors:Fast Growing TreesBetter plants, better growing, and an extra 20% off with code MARTINI at https://FastGrowingTrees.com/Martini for a limited time; terms and conditions may apply.HomeServeFor 50% less your first year, go to https://HomeServe.com/Martini to find the plan that's right for you.
