Queer Sacramento will also include little vignettes, or "Q-Tip" bonus episodes in addition to the full 30 minute episodes. They will almost always include queer topics, but may not necessarily be about Sacramento. It may be about the queer scene in another town I'm visiting, or it could be about a specific person I can't actually interview. That's the case today with John Wujek. John was a member of the Sacramento Gay Mens Chorus and he died unexpectedly a couple days ago. This episode will be mostly about him. https://www.legacy.com/amp/obituaries/sacbee/195095445
California. The Golden State. The state where people come to have fun in the sun, be famous, play in the ocean, year round perfect weather, and the Golden Gate Bridge. I bet you're probably thinking about your next trip to San Francisco, or laying on the beach in beautiful San Diego, or maybe going to that fancy club in LA, hoping to catch a glimpse of that movie star you're so in love with. What you're probably not thinking about is Sacramento. Sacramento? What's in Sacramento? This was my question as well! I just moved here from Ohio, and I'm still trying to figure it out. I'm a big, queer, person of color, and I'm trying to find my scene, my people. So I thought, "What better way to find the queer people and happenings of a city than to just interview some queer folks?" That's what this podcast is: Queer Sacramento. The LGBTQ+ podcast that interviews the queer people, businesses, and events that make up this capital of California, Sacramento.
