Introducing the first episode of a new show from RPM Media: The Couchsurfer. The Couchsurfer is a show where host Rudi travels around the world (hopefully) and stays on people’s sofas. He then performs a sneaky turnaround and makes his host become the guest on his podcast! Rudi plans to ask his host-guests about the places where they live in an attempt to learn more about the world – how successful this will be is yet to be seen. This first episode features a conversation with Paloma in the wonderful city of Edinburgh.
Sports special this week. Having won the 2019 Masters, Tiger Woods is back, bringing the sport of golf along with him. We ask what this means and where does he go now. At the same time (big weekend for Sky Go) Mo Salah managed to kick a football 74mph. Liverpool are back top of the league; Sky Sports can stop obsessing about slips.
This week we send Bradley to Munich to review bauma 2019, the world's largest construction and mining equipment festival. He eats a lot of heavy food and tells us all about machines that lift lots of heavy things. Rudi, alongside this week's guest, Kathryn Evans, talks about a weekend outing to the Tate Modern.
This week, we swap and then compare notes on a podcast on how and why Barcelona’s winning culture became part of the club’s DNA with Jeff Buckley’s 1994 album Grace. After that, we ask why there are food stalls at Printworks and what makes techno industrial. Mixed. Bag.
In this first episode, we talk about Cambridge band, Sports Team, at the Electric Ballroom in Camden. Mostly asking how it’s possible to pull off a matador outfit with white trainers. We then disagree over Stormzy headlining the pyramid stage at Glastonbury.
This is the first episode of a new segment from the Rudi Reviews podcast called 'algo.rhythms'. 'algo.rhythms' is a collaborative music discovery project from the Rudi Reviews podcast. The show is originally broadcast live on Calon FM in Wrexham, North Wales. Each week a guest sends in their discover weekly playlist generated by Spotify and Rudi reviews the songs and the artists behind them. The aim is to utilise Spotify's recommendation algorithms to help us all broaden our horizons one podcast at a time!
