A new youth protest movement in India that started as online satire is now staging an ongoing sit-in in New Delhi calling for the resignation of India's education minister. The Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) was launched in late May by Abhijeet Dipke, a graduate of Boston University, in response to alleged comments by India's chief justice, Surya Kant, comparing unemployed young Indians to cockroaches. Dipke launched a parody political party, calling on all cockroaches to unite, which led to street protests in cities including Delhi, Pune, Jaipur and Bengaluru. The CJP latched onto mounting anger in India at a series of issues affecting exams, including the secondary school leaving exam, which has affected thousands of people and been linked to suicides. But the movement has also tapped into the anger of a generation of graduates who've done everything right but still can't find work that matches their aspirations. In this episode economist Rosa Abraham at Azim Premji University, explains how India's jobs crisis is fuelling this new youth protest movement. This episode was written and produced by Gemma Ware and Mend Mariwany. Mixing by Michelle Macklem and theme music by Neeta Sarl. Candice Van Dertholen did not arrive at her work in energy healing by reading about it. She lived through it.In this episode of Fine is a 4-Letter Word, host Lori Saitz sits down with energy practitioner Candice Van Dertholen for an unflinching conversation about single parenthood at 22, a Texas maximum security prison career she stumbled into out of financial desperation, an abusive marriage that escalated into a violent car ride with her children in the backseat, and the night she nearly took her own life — waking up in a hospital bed furious that she was still alive. From Joyce Meyer's Battlefield of the Mind on a hospital nightstand to affirmations she wrote thousands of times before she even knew what affirmations were, Candice traces the slow, unglamorous, piece-by-piece rebuilding that took two years before she felt like herself again. She also shares the complicated grief of finding out both ex-husbands had died within the same year, and why disenfranchised grief rarely gets the space it deserves. Now a practitioner who holds space for others in those same pivotal moments, Candice talks about why self-sabotage is almost always a story, why money in alignment multiplies, and what happens when we finally stop running from the relationship with ourselves.Listen on all platforms:Search "Fine is a 4-Letter Word" on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your shows. A single mother of three from a young age, she has navigated poverty, domestic abuse, correctional work, burnout, and near-fatal crisis to arrive at a practice centered on helping others break the self-sabotaging patterns that keep them from the next version of themselves. She works with clients in pivotal transition moments and offers pay-it-forward sessions for those who cannot afford standard rates. Donald Trump's anger at the media over his Iran fiasco is mounting. He snapped at a reporter for noting that Americans might not support spending $80 billion more on the war, as the Pentagon has requested. Trump even dubiously claimed the public would gladly support this. Then, at a rally, Trump seethed at the media for not being worshipful of his handling of the Iran talks. He also nonsensically suggested he's solved the nuclear issue entirely. Trump is under immense pressure to show results: In a devastating segment, a Fox News anchor pointed to a new poll showing Trump's approval on the economy at 33 percent. Then the anchor said this is lower than Joe Biden ever was at his absolute worst point, the most cutting piece of news Fox could have delivered. We talked to international relations expert Nicholas Grossman. We discuss his new piece explaining why time is not on Trump's side in these talks, how all this is breaking up the Trump coalition in new ways, and what a disaster it could prove for JD Vance's coming presidential run. We all find ourselves surprised by how ANGRY our kids can make us. Nothing can trigger our nervous systems quite like those moments where our kids push our buttons. Maybe your patience disappears, your heart starts racing, or you find yourself caught in a cycle of parenting stress and reactive parenting. You are not alone, friend. In this episode of Sustainable Parenting, I'm joined by my old camp friend, and trauma-informed marriage and family therapist Rachael Votah, LMFT (of the Apricot Oak Podcast), to talk about practical self-regulation tools that can help when parenting triggers show up. Together, we explore how our bodies signal stress, why it can be so hard to stay calm in the moment, and simple ways to reconnect with ourselves before reacting.Rachel shares easy, accessible strategies including breathwork, body awareness, and emotion labeling that can support calm parenting and parenting without yelling. These tools can help you move from reacting on autopilot to responding with greater intention, even during difficult parenting challenges. In this episode, you'll learn:• How to recognize the body's early signs of stress and dysregulation• A simple breathing technique to help calm your nervous system• Why body awareness is an important part of gentle parenting• How labeling emotions can reduce overwhelm and create space for choice• Small daily practices that can help you become a dependable calm presence for your familyIf parenting burnout and dysregulation, parenting stress, or parenting triggers have been making it harder to show up the way you'd like, this conversation offers simple tools and encouraging reminders you can begin using today.

EPISODE 459 | INNER VOICE – A HEARTFELT CHAT WITH DR. FOOJAN What if anger isn't something to suppress, avoid, or fear—but a powerful emotion that can be understood, managed, and transformed into a force for growth? In this compelling episode of Inner Voice – A Heartfelt Chat with Dr. Foojan, Dr. Foojan Zeine welcomes renowned psychologist, author, and anger management expert Dr. Mitch Abrams for a deep conversation about the psychology of anger, emotional regulation, trauma, resilience, relationships, and personal transformation. Drawing from more than two decades of experience in sport psychology, clinical psychology, forensic psychology, and correctional mental health, Dr. Abrams challenges the common belief that anger is a "negative emotion." Instead, he explains how anger can become a valuable ally when recognized early, understood properly, and channeled effectively. As Chief Psychologist overseeing psychological services for seven New Jersey state prisons and Founder of Learned Excellence for Athletes, Dr. Abrams offers unique insights into how anger impacts athletes, executives, families, couples, and society at large. Together, Dr. Foojan and Dr. Abrams explore the emotional, cognitive, and physiological aspects of anger, providing practical tools for emotional intelligence, self-awareness, and lasting personal growth. Based on his groundbreaking book, "I'm Not F***ing Angry!!! Adjust the Flames to Get What You Want and Need," this episode reveals how to move beyond emotional reactivity and cultivate greater clarity, confidence, and resilience.

This is the morning sermon at Ramah Baptist Church in Palmetto, GA on June 21, 2026.In this sermon from Ephesians 4:21–32, Paul shows that the gospel not only changes what we believe but also how we live. Having put off the old self and put on the new self in Christ, believers are called to walk in holiness, truth, and love. Paul addresses the proper place of anger in the Christian life, warning against sinful anger that gives opportunity to the devil while calling believers to pursue forgiveness, kindness, and unity. These verses remind us that righteous anger must be governed by God's Word and that the grace we have received in Christ should shape the way we treat one another. For more information about our church, visit www.ramahfbc.com.
In 1781, as the American Revolution raged, Appalachian settlers in what's now West Virginia rose in armed rebellion against the Virginia government. Angry over crushing taxes, forced military service, and wartime demands, John Claypool led an Appalachian backcountry revolt that sparked panic across the Shenandoah Valley. This is the little-known story of Claypool's Rebellion, another one of the Stories of Appalachia.

Donald Trump's ceasefire deal with Iran has now been released, and it confirms what we all expected: He got nothing of any significance. A surprising number of his allies agree. Fox News figures, visibly angry and rattled, are saying the deal “doesn't feel like a victory,” that “we lost the most,” and that Iran is “better off” than before. Others are already throwing JD Vance under the bus, with one even suggesting the deal is so bad that it let Trump down. We think the story right now is that if anything, the next stage of the negotiations with Iran will be even worse for Trump. We talked to Sina Toossi, an Iran expert at the Center for International Policy. He walks us through the details of the deal, why it falls short of what Barack Obama got, why the criticism from allies creates a tough situation for Trump, and how his failures have created a new geopolitical reality—one that's worse for America than before. Have you ever prayed a prayer so raw, so ugly, so honest that you almost felt guilty afterward? I have. There was a season of my life when everything felt like it was falling apart. I was in pain, afraid, disappointed, and deeply confused about why God would allow certain things to happen. In one of my lowest moments, I found myself crying in a parking lot, asking God how He could possibly use any of it for good... Stop falling into the anxious-avoidant attachment trap. In this episode, learn how to build a healthy relationship and experience corrective love. Today, I'm sitting down for a deeply personal, raw, and honest conversation with my longtime friend John Kim (aka The Angry Therapist) to discuss his brand new book, Love Hard on Purpose: Toss the Blueprints, Build Something Honest. We are stripping away the fairytale narratives and diving into what it actually takes to build a secure relationship from scratch. I also share my own journey healing a father wound and breaking free from high-functioning codependency. Whether you are single on purpose or trying to navigate a long-term partnership, this episode will show you how to move past the trauma breakers and rewire your body to accept a calm, healthy, and deeply intimate love. Over the weekend, Donald Trump exploded during an on-air interview with NBC's Kristen Welker. He called her “crooked” and “stupid” and abruptly ended the interview in a fury. This was ostensibly because she questioned his claims that California's ongoing vote counting is rigged against GOP candidates. But we think the real reason is darker. As the votes are being counted, those candidates—Spencer Pratt for Los Angeles Mayor and Steve Hilton for Governor—are looking weaker than advertised. In real time, Trump is witnessing the failure of MAGA's online disinformation apparatus to invent reality whole cloth and inflate the strength of his candidates into something it isn't. In today's episode, tech writer Gil Duran, author of the forthcoming The Nerd Reich, a book about techno-authoritarianism, puts this in perspective. He explains the California contests, why it's so infuriating for Trump to watch real votes coming in, why this saga represents a larger failure of Trump-MAGA online propaganda, and why that has heartening deeper implications.
