This episode is 100% Fun. Sal & Paul are the sorts of friends that Hollywood writes feel good coming of age movies about. Sal couch surfs on the family couch that Paul was born on. Paul trolls Sal hard when they first move in together. Sal is forced to choose between Sal and his girlfriend. They talk of inviting friends to family dinners, the stream of bros who fall asleep in a pile of empty pizza boxes, miracles, and it's a look at a quintessential American experience. Bria and Ashley is a hard one to write about because they've since had a falling out. This episode is the one that comes across as the most, "real." They get into some shit, they talk about hardships and struggles that... the other friendships didn't have to deal with. Family trouble, this is the first friendship that deals with divorce and how it affected their relationship and their family dynamics. They talk about high school mean girls, lies, betrayal, and through all that, there's a feeling of... having each other's back that permeates the hour. Mike and Josh - Friendship Forged at Northwestern College - Tertiary Delight - S01EP05

Mike and Josh met their freshman year of college. They studied together, lived together, did road trips and travels, got in fights, snuck in and out of parties, and I think you'd be hard pressed not to conclude both these guys are living their best life. You will also get a little snippet of Josh's dog, Lincoln, and his now fiance, Bridget! Our favorite bit comes at the end of there conversation, Mike says, "I think of friendships as orbital. Each friendship you have, has a different orbit, and they aren't all circular, some come in real close, and then life takes them away, for who knows how long, but when they come back, they are really close again." (He says it more eloquently than that, but hopefully you get the idea. ;) ) The opening and closing music is used under a creative commons license and was created by Poddington Bear. Asa and Josh met through a flier. Lead us through a very conceptual look at what friendship is. Both of them have strong feelings and attachments to the word, friendship. But at the same time, allow it to have a lot of space to morph, change, and communicate. There is a great conversation about half way through the episode where Asa and Josh struggle with the question, "What does it mean to be more than friends?" For them, friendship is the ultimate relationship state. Friendship amounts to unconditional love. Cody and Jacob – Road trip to Gencon – highlights a friendship forged in mom’s basement, over tossed dice, and epic adventures of the imagination. These boys were patient zero for getting everyone they knew to play Dungeons and Dragons. Those adventures of the imagination that started in HeroClix, ended up creating adventures in the real world, family trips together, mishaps with girls, and in all this was forged a huge group of friends that keep in touch almost every day. In this episode of Tertiary Delight, Becky and Blair talk deeply about their relationships to their mothers, how they met on the field hockey team, and a tinsy bit about boys. While there are common themes that flitter through all of season one this is a very diverse episode regarding topics touched on. Boardgames, getting married, the #metoo movement, are topics that bound in and out of this friendship. This is a friendship that hinges on humor, both self-deprecating and just straight deprecating, hanging out at the same places, and commiserating over life’s troubles.
