The Draft is finally back. The boys start out the pod with another classic Laban story. You are going to want to hear this one. That dude is always up to something. Then the boys get into the most insane and combative draft yet where they must select their ideal items to bring on a roadtrip. 4 brothers, 5 picks each. The categories are: drink, candy, salty/savory snack, an entertainment item, and the WILDCARD pick. What will they choose? Will they choose nothing? Will they abandon the draft and go to Cracker Barrel? Will we discuss the Philly Piece or wait until next week? Where am I? This week on The Commentary Booth, hosts Jamie Apps and Corrina Mabey are climbing back into the car for a 1,800-mile trip down memory lane to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Todd Phillips' breakout comedy, Road Trip!Released in 2000, this raucous "road sex comedy" launched the career of the future director of The Hangover and Joker. We're revisiting the misadventures of Josh, E.L., Rubin, and Kyle to see if this early 2000s time capsule holds up. We break down the iconic cast (hello, Seann William Scott and a scene-stealing Tom Green!), the film's surprising legacy, its most cringe-worthy (and hilarious) moments, and the wild futures it predicted for its characters.Highlights Breakdown:Why Road Trip defines early-2000s “guys' comedy”Barry, the snake subplot, and Tom Green's unhinged performanceCameos you probably missed (Jimmy Kimmel, Andy Dick, Todd Phillips himself)The most dated elements: VHS tapes, tube TVs, and chunky laptopsHow the framing “storytelling” device makes the whole thing unreliable (and funnier)Awards, Razzie-level acting, and the legacy of raunchy college comediesJamie and Corrina take a nostalgic yet critical look at the film's legacy, its influence on an entire generation's sense of humour (and maybe bad behaviour), and why it remains a cult classic despite mixed reviews. They also reflect on how absurd the story feels today in the age of smartphones, streaming, and instant communication. If you grew up on American Pie, EuroTrip, and early 2000s raunchy comedies, this episode is a nostalgic ride packed with laughs, critiques, and trivia gems. This week's episode is brought to you byAustralian Wrestling CardsCheck out more great content from Pario Magazine on our website.-------------------------------------------------------------SUPPORT PARIO MAGAZINE & THE COMMENTARY BOOTH- PATREON- BUY MERCH- AMAZON PRIME VIDEO- TUBEBUDDY- Subscribe to AEW Plus using my code (q0yydoz) to earn $10 in FITE credit- Shop Online With Honey- Shop Online With SatechiMY EQUIPMENT- Elgato Facecam- Rode PodMic- Elgato Wave Mic Arm LP- Streamlabs Talk StudioFOLLOW JAMIE ON SOCIAL MEDIA- Twitter- Facebook- Instagram- TikTokFOLLOW PARIO MAGAZINE ON SOCIAL MEDIA- Twitter- Facebook- Instagram

On this episode of the Three-Inning Save podcast, the Dodgers return home after a terrible 1-5 road trip against two last-place teams in the Pirates and Orioles. Yoshinobu Yamamoto was one out away from a no-hitter on Saturday in Baltimore, but instead the Dodgers bullpen suffered a second walk-off loss in a row. Also last week, both catchers got injured, two starting pitchers were scratched, plus more on the offense struggling for over two months, 40-man roster decisions coming, plus pending returns of Max Muncy, Alex Vesia, and Tommy Edman from the injured list. On this 294th episode of Take Flight Weekly, I share a lesson that came from the longest solo road trip of my life — 29 hours from Chicago to Boston and back while dropping off Lizzy Miller at Boston College. Somewhere on the highway, I realized something important: a long road trip has the same ingredients as pursuing your three-year vision. Think about it. You don't just jump in the car and hope for the best. You begin with the end in mind, you prepare your vehicle, you plot your route, and you measure your progress through checkpoints and mile markers. The same is true in business. Your three-year vision is your “Boston.” Without clarity, systems, and consistency, the trip becomes guesswork. With them, you know exactly where you're going and how you'll get there. In this episode, I'll show you: ✅ Why your three-year vision is like setting your GPS destination ✅ How to equip yourself with the right tools (CRM, daily rituals, coaching) ✅ Why breaking your vision into 12 quarterly checkpoints keeps you on track ✅ How weekly reviews and audits serve as your mile markers ✅ The importance of refueling with rest, reflection, and inspiration ✅ How to adjust when detours appear without losing sight of your destination ✅ Why celebrating milestones builds confidence and momentum Here's the truth: progress isn't about one big leap. It's about consistent, intentional stages. Just like hitting Buffalo or Albany on the way to Boston confirmed I was still on course, your weekly reviews and quarterly audits are the markers that keep you aligned with your ultimate destination. Detours and fatigue will test you, but if your systems are strong and your vision is clear, you'll arrive exactly where you set out to be.

“That song makes me not want some mo G4.” That reaction to the music video “Sippin' on Some G4” by Jeff Hodges and Los Henchmen, while nothing like the majority of commenters, was also not uncommon. Which is interesting, right? Because absolutely nothing changed about the Tequila in the G4 bottle. My friend Rob Metalf (married father of two, age 33) joins us to share his journey with his mental health (OCD/anxiety) and his physical health (Ankylosing spondylitis—or AS). Rob (guitar player and songwriter) has formed a band (TOWN!) and is releasing an album (The Road Trip) that captures many of his life experiences. The first song (Forever—see show notes) is a song about his anxiety. In the podcast, Rob talks about other songs that on the album talking about important and sensitive subjects (suicide, relationship with the Church, Alzheimer's). In the podcast, Rob shares his journey with AS (undiagnosed for a long time) and how it took him from an avid outdoorsman to—on his worse days—bedridden. Rob talks about his journey to find a diagnosis and the right medication to get him in a better spot—and all the people that helped him along the way. Rob is honest about feeling angry/abandon by God and how we can better support people with long-term health challenges. Rob is one of my heroes. He is a survivor and now using his gifts to help others through sharing his story and his music. I encourage you to listen to and share this podcast and his music.
