The FBI is warning that sexual extorsion schemes, or "sextortion", targeting underage boys are leading to an alarming increase in suicides of teenage boys. This happens when a scammer threatens and coerces a minor into sending sending sexually explicit photographs through social media. Today, Michael speaks with South Carolina State Representative Brandon Guffey, who's 17-year-old son Gavin died by suicide in 2022, after being a victim of 'sextortion.' This is a heartbreaking story to hear, but it brings forward an important conversation one must have with their kids to protect them. Original air date 10 March 2023.

Zimmern emphasizes the civic responsibility of addressing food issues and the role of the outdoor community in conservation efforts. Justin and Andrew discuss the intersection of food security, wildlife management, and community involvement. They explore how hunting and foraging can address food insecurity, the importance of managing wild game populations, and the culinary potential of wild foods. - Leave a Review of the Podcast - Buy our Wild Fish and Game Spices - Join our Pig Camp with Us and Hank Shaw! Guest: Andrew Zimmern is a chef, hunter, angler, writer, Emmy-winning and four-time James Beard Award-winning TV personality and social justice advocate. As the creator and host of the Bizarre Foods franchise, Andrew Zimmern's Driven by Food, MSNBC's What's Eating America, Magnolia Network's Emmy-nominated Family Dinner, and the Emmy-winning The Zimmern List, he has devoted his life to exploring and promoting cultural acceptance, tolerance and understanding through food. Lately, he has been promoting the importance of wild food through his show Andrew Zimmern's Wild Game Kitchen on the Outdoor Channel. Instagram YouTube Spilled Milk Field to Fire Show Takeaways: Andrew Zimmern emphasizes the importance of cultural acceptance through food. Hunting and fishing provide valuable life lessons and experiences. The connection to nature is increasingly important in modern society. Experiences in the outdoors can be more valuable than the catch itself. Cultural dissonance can arise from differing perspectives on hunting and food. Every part of the animal should be utilized in cooking and culture. Outdoor experiences foster appreciation for nature's beauty and lessons. The thrill of the hunt is often about the experience, not just the outcome. Modern society's convenience-driven culture can lead to a disconnection from nature. Personal stories from the outdoors create lasting memories. The odds of encountering the same squirrel multiple times are incredibly low. Andrew Zimmern knew from a young age he wanted a career in food. After attending The Dalton School and Vassar College, he cooked in New York City restaurants for Anne Rosenzweig, Joachim Splichal and Thomas Keller, amongst others. Andrew helped open and run a dozen restaurants, and at the same time was also an addict spiraling out of control. After a year spent living on the streets, an intervention by close friends brought him to the Hazelden Foundation in Minnesota. Transforming his life around sobriety, Andrew took a job washing dishes at Minneapolis' Café Un Deux Trois. In 1992, he was named executive chef and during his six-year tenure, turned Un Deux Trois into an awarded, national caliber restaurant. An Emmy-winning and four-time James Beard Award-winning TV personality, chef, writer and teacher, Andrew Zimmern is regarded as one of the most knowledgeable personalities in the food world. As the creator, executive producer and host of Travel Channel's Bizarre Foods franchise, Andrew Zimmern's Driven by Food and Emmy-winning The Zimmern List, he has devoted his life to exploring and promoting cultural acceptance, tolerance and understanding through food. In 2020, Andrew returned to television with the MSNBC series What's Eating America. His latest series, Family Dinner, airs on Chip & Joanna Gaines' Magnolia Network and steams on Discovery+. In part 2 of our sit down with Jodie Sweetin we delve into her rich career and personal life, offering an insightful peek behind the curtain. We kick off with her reflecting on the contrasts between filming before a live studio audience and performing live on stage. The discussion turns to Jodie's involvement with Jeff Lewis and how she became a chump and she recounts the initial meeting and how it blossomed into a genuine friendship with Jeff and other members of his circle. She emphasizes the importance of these relationships, highlighting how they've become a significant part of her life beyond just professional connections. From there, Jodie talks about her live show “Family Dinner,” a project she holds close to her heart and centers around the warmth and intimacy of sharing a meal with friends and family. As the conversation transitions into Hot Topics, the trio delves into Jodie's thoughts on the reboot of the “Real Housewives of New Jersey and she informs us she prefers spending her time reading. This revelation leads to a broader discussion about the nature of reality television and how it doesn't truly reflect the reality it claims to portray. Another Haute topic of discussion is Candace Cameron Bure's controversial statements about the “drag queen” at the Paris Olympics. Jodie acknowledges their sisterly bond but makes it clear that they have vastly different views, especially regarding LGBTQ+ rights and she expresses her unwavering support for the LGBTQ+ community, emphasizing that love and acceptance should be universal. She talks about how she reconciles her spirituality with the need to support and uplift marginalized communities, particularly the LGBTQ+ community. We also weigh in, discussing the complexities of maintaining friendships across different political and religious beliefs. Shifting gears, we take a lighter turn with Runway Rundown and critique the red carpet looks of celebrities Pink, Colman Domingo and Jodie herself! Jodie reflects on her late grandmother, a figure who played a significant role in her life and she shares poignant memories discussing how her presence is still felt in her life through small, meaningful signs like butterflies. Jodie opens about the challenges of being a child actor and the pressures that come with the territory and reflects on the best advice she received from her mother, who reminded her that fame doesn't last forever and that it's important to plan for life beyond the spotlight and cherish those you love, referring to the passing of the beloved, Bob Saget. This leads to an emotional coffee cup reading, where Pol' interprets the symbols left in her cup, revealing a heart that symbolizes Jodie's ongoing connection with her grandmother. Jodie's emotional response highlights the depth of her bond with her grandmother, making this one of the most touching moments. As the episode draws to a close, the conversation circles back to fashion, her life as a Hallmark Movie Queen, new projects and taking on new adventures, including a directing opportunity she's excited about. Pol's encouragement for Jodie to say “yes” to new opportunities resonates deeply, echoing her personal mantra of embracing life's adventures. This is another Hurrdat Media Production. This week we reunite with Jodie Sweetin, the actress who won hearts as Stephanie Tanner on the iconic television series “Full House” and its successful reboot “Fuller House.” We reconnect after an astonishing 16 years. The reunion is filled with humor and nostalgia as our lives have changed since we last saw each other. Jodie reminisces about the challenges of raising young children, admitting that her husband is content with his role as a stepdad-uncle figure. It gets sentimental when we reveal the state of our daughter's bedroom, symbolizing the lasting impact of family ties. We delve into the deep history shared between us, particularly the bond formed when Pol' created a stunning green dress for Jodie 16 years ago, shortly after she gave birth to her first child. As we discuss her upcoming Armenian Coffee Grounds reading, a light-hearted exchange about an Armenian friend from her past ensues. The topic shifts to Jodie's personal life and her journey to sobriety and healing and she candidly discusses her decision to stop drinking and why. The boys recount their recent adventure on a "Nauti Yacht" in Croatia and Jodie adds to the story with tales of her own best friend, who recently bought a yacht and participates in “naughty cruises.” The conversation about recreational substances naturally leads into a discussion about thedifferences between THC and mushrooms. We reflect on Jodie's impressive career and her early days in Hollywood, specifically how she landed the role of Stephanie and discuss the challenges of working as a child actor, including the legal restrictions on work hours and the importance of schooling on set. We get real about Jodie's famous lisp as a child and trademark catchphrase “How Rude!” A brief discussion on how the Kardashians helped raise awareness of Armenian culture in the U.S. and Jodie reflects on her upbringing and shares her story of adoption and emotional journey of healing, documented in her first book, unSweetined. We circle back to Jodie's enduring connections with her former “Full House” cast members, and how the bond was further strengthened during the making of “Fuller House” and we chat about her podcast with Andrea Barber called How Rude Tanneritos. Jodie reflects on the pressures of being known and recognized as Stephanie Tanner for the rest of her life and how it has shaped her. An emotional moment comes when we talk about the loss of Bob Saget, who played her on-screen father, Danny Tanner and she shares the heartbreaking pain of losing him and we share our own experiences of loss, including the death of Anna Nicole Smith, leading to a bittersweet conversation filled with memories and reflections. As the episode draws to a close, Jodie discusses her experiences on “Dancing with the Stars,” her involvement with Jeff Lewis's radio show, where she has become an official “Chump,” and new comedy show, “Family Dinner,”. We end the episode with the first half of Jodie's Armenian Coffee Cup Reading and she reveals who the warrior is Pol' sees in her cup. As we bid farewell, it's clear that this episode is a perfect blend of humor, nostalgia, and heartfelt moments, offering listeners a deeper understanding of Jodie Sweetin's life, both on and off the screen.
