The guys review some of the biggest hits and surprises through the first four weeks of the NFL season. You won't want to miss out on this deep dive!Unsurprisingly, and much to Mike's dismay, Andrew advises holding the line on Juju Smith-Schuster. The guys break down final thoughts on their biggest flag plants and fades on the eve of the NFL season. Check out who Mike and Andrew avoided at cost all draft season, who they are expecting big things from, and who they are worried about being burnt by. Predictably, we get some final parting shots off at each others' takes on polarizing players including Najee Harris, Juju Smith-Schuster, Diontae Johnson, Amon-Ra St. Brown, and Cole Kmet. The episode wraps up with brief analysis on their final home league draft, and a few gems to target who are currently sitting on most waiver wires.
The guys jump into a half PPR mock draft on Sleeper with friends of the show David and Web. We break down ideal draft strategy for early, middle, and late position using several different draft philosophies. Mike goes with a balanced build throughout starting with his guys Stefon Diggs and Saquon Barkley. Andrew puts together a nice anchor RB build grabbing an elite WR in Justin Jefferson and coming back with Leonard Fournette in the second. David goes with a classic RB-RB start and value drafts the rest of the way, and Web stays on brand with a nice hero RB build. This is a great episode to check out for different perspectives on how to build your teams this season!
Mike pinch hits as solo host to get you prepped for all of your upcoming season long fantasy football drafts with a deep dive into high level strategy, how to approach each position (QB, RB, WR, TE), how many to take at each position and when, some land mines to avoid, and several small edges you can scratch out to put you out in front of your league mates. He also touches on a few polarizing players at the WR position (Juju Smith-Schuster, Gabriel Davis, and Allen Lazard) and how he is approaching their current cost in drafts, with a few listener questions mixed in. This episode will 100% get you more prepared to dominate your drafts. Get well soon Andrew! And thanks for listening! If you enjoyed please leave feedback and subscribe. Which of these speedsters should you be targeting or will both be able to produce at a high level? Is there bust potential at where they are being drafted? The RB room for the Dolphins underwent a complete makeover and we believe Chase Edmonds should be the main beneficiary to garner the most touches, but is there value to be had behind him?We break it all down for you in depth! If you enjoyed please be sure to subscribe, leave feedback, and hit us up on socials @MikePlaysDFS and @DrewNoIes
