You can walk into a draft with a perfect plan. Targets identified, sleepers ranked, a strategy for every slot. And then three rounds in, none of it survives contact. Kendall Valenzuela, Peter Overzet and Dwain McFarland break down two real drafts from Draft Nation, pick by pick, including one where almost nothing went the way Dwain wanted it to. First up is the 16-round best ball draft where Dwain sat at pick 11 with Pete right ahead of him at 10 — which meant getting sniped repeatedly by the guy sitting next to him. They walk through every stage of the build: Ashton Jeanty, Kenneth Walker and Colston Loveland to start for Dwain against Jonathan Taylor, Chase Brown and Garrett Wilson for Pete. Then the middle rounds with Tetairoa McMillan, Quinshon Judkins, De'Zhaun Stribling, Jaylen Waddle, Mike Evans and Tyler Warren. Then KC Concepcion, Justin Herbert, Josh Downs, Rico Dowdle and Xavier Worthy, and finally the late-round swings on Brock Purdy, Mark Andrews, Adonai Mitchell, Jaydon Blue, Tre Harris and Keaton Mitchell. Then they switch formats entirely. Kendall and Pete recap a $350 high-stakes managed league, 20 rounds with a third-round reversal, and Pete explains exactly what changes when real money is on the line instead of best ball. Kendall opened Jaxon Smith-Njigba, Saquon Barkley, Rashee Rice, Tetairoa McMillan and Josh Jacobs from pick 7; Pete went Christian McCaffrey, Justin Jefferson, Trey McBride, Jameson Williams and D'Andre Swift from pick 11. The point isn't the specific picks. It's watching what an experienced drafter actually does in the moment when the board refuses to cooperate — which runs to chase, when to abandon a plan, and how to build something functional out of the pieces nobody else wanted.

We're hitting the latest NFL news and notes to sharpen your fantasy edge — and two major storylines jump right off the page. Bears head coach Ben Johnson isn't hiding anything: he wants to blow out teams. Not "be aggressive," not "push the ball," but bury opponents. Bloom and Cecil break down what that means for fantasy — pace, volume, scoring spikes, and which Bears players benefit most from a coach openly embracing domination. Meanwhile, in Minnesota, Kyler Murray has officially won the Vikings' starting QB job. So what does that mean for Fantasy GMs. Bloom and Cecil dig into the ripple effects: Justin Jefferson's ceiling, the pace of the offense, Kyler's rushing value, and how this changes draft boards heading into August. watch on YouTube -> https://youtu.be/VP2YclG49jA

Munaf Manji and SleepyJ talk NFL betting. Munaf Manji and Sleepy J opened the 2026 NFL season with their annual season long player props special on The Props Podcast, working through ten different plays across quarterback, running back, wide receiver, tight end and touchdown markets before locking in their picks to win the Super Bowl. Sleepy J, at 2:38, led off the quarterback discussion backing Jayden Daniels to clear four and a half rushing touchdowns, pointing to his rookie season usage, the season ending triceps injury to left tackle Laremy Tunsil, and one of the most grueling opening schedules in the league for the Washington Commanders. Munaf, at 8:12, answered with a passing yards play on Kyler Murray, betting that a fresh start with the Minnesota Vikings under head coach Kevin O'Connell and alongside Justin Jefferson unlocks the kind of production Murray has shown whenever he has stayed healthy. The running back props brought a pair of contrarian unders, with Sleepy J fading Derrick Henry's rushing touchdown total in Baltimore given his age, a rebuilt offensive line and a new coaching staff, and Munaf fading rookie Jeremiyah Love's rushing yardage in Arizona given a crowded backfield and a team likely to trail often. Wide receiver props sparked the liveliest debate of the show, with Sleepy J backing an under on A.J. Brown's yardage after his move from a concentrated Philadelphia passing attack to a crowded New England receiver room, while Munaf took the other side on Brown's touchdown total, expecting a heavy dose of red zone work in his new offense. Munaf also liked DJ Moore to clear his receiving yardage number after landing with Josh Allen in Buffalo. On tight ends and touchdowns, Sleepy J backed Kyle Pitts to clear his reception total in Atlanta and projected a touchdown breakout for Tetairoa McMillan in Carolina, while Munaf backed a big season for Colston Loveland in Chicago behind an offense chasing record scoring numbers. To close the show, starting at 46:53, both hosts revealed their picks to win the Super Bowl, with Sleepy J going against the grain on the Cincinnati Bengals at long odds, citing a healthy Joe Burrow and a much improved defense, while Munaf landed on the Detroit Lions, calling them a team flying under the radar behind Jared Goff and a talented roster on both sides of the football. The two hosts also touched on the current landscape heading into the season, noting the AFC feels more wide open than it has in recent years and that the NFC is shaping up to be a gauntlet from top to bottom. Throughout the episode, both hosts leaned on usage trends, coaching changes, roster turnover and scheme fit rather than surface level box scores, walking through why certain numbers on the board looked mispriced heading into the year. The show closed with a preview of the busy football schedule ahead, including week zero college football coverage already underway and NFL Week 1 preparation on the horizon, with weekly props coverage set to continue for the entire season on The Props Podcast. Only 4 players in the HISTORY of the NFL have recorded 3 100-yard efforts in their first 6 games: Julio Jones in 2012, Amari Cooper in 2015, and Justin Jefferson in 2020 were three of them. The first to ever do it was BYRON WILLIAMS, our guest on this episode of The Approach Shot. We stun Byron with the fact that 78% of the catches he made throughout his career resulted in first downs. Now THAT's clutch! But it's his work off the field with his Best Wishes Foundation, and the NFL Players Alumni Association that gives him the most joy. There's giving back and then there's giving yourself. He does both. His book "Playbook for Life" is a roadmap for men who want to live with clarity, courage and conviction and is available at byronwilliamsbook.com. It's a joy to talk with, laugh with and share stories with BYRON WILLIAMS on The Approach Shot. Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. You don't win your fantasy league in the draft. But you can absolutely lose it there, and it usually happens in the first twenty minutes. Kendall Valenzuela and Peter Overzet go pick-by-pick through every single draft slot, 1.01 through 1.12, and lay out the worst possible way to start your 2026 draft from each one. Not bad players — bad combinations. The two-pick starts that look defensible on the clock and leave your roster broken by Round 4. Then they flip it. Every slot also gets the best way to open, so you're not just walking away knowing what to avoid. Bijan Robinson, Jahmyr Gibbs, Christian McCaffrey, Ja'Marr Chase, Puka Nacua, Justin Jefferson, CeeDee Lamb, Ashton Jeanty, Saquon Barkley, De'Von Achane, Jonathan Taylor, James Cook, Chase Brown, Kenneth Walker, Josh Jacobs, Kyren Williams, Omarion Hampton and Jeremiyah Love all come up, along with Malik Nabers, Nico Collins, Jaxon Smith-Njigba, Rashee Rice, Drake London, George Pickens, Amon-Ra St. Brown, Brock Bowers, Derrick Henry and Josh Allen. Some of these guys show up on both lists depending on where you're picking from — which is the whole point. There is no universally correct start. There's only the correct start from your slot. Find your pick number in the timestamps below and skip right to it.
Alfredo Brown and Tera Roberts break down some of the biggest fantasy football debates heading into the 2026 season, including CeeDee Lamb vs. Justin Jefferson, Christian McCaffrey vs. Amon-Ra St. Brown, Josh Allen in superflex leagues, Judarian Price vs. Cam Skattebo, Parker Washington vs. Christian Watson, and when to draft quarterbacks and tight ends. We also react to the Jayden Higgins injury and what it could mean for Nico Collins and Tank Dell, discuss the impact of Najee Harris joining the Giants, debate whether Braelon Allen is worth holding, and look at some of the latest preseason developments affecting fantasy rankings. Plus, we tackle your questions on 12-team PPR, half-PPR, standard scoring, dynasty, keeper and superflex leagues, including draft-slot strategy, running back approaches, wide receiver value, trade decisions and potential league-winning players. If you're preparing for your 2026 fantasy football draft, this is the Q&A you don't want to miss. Kendall Valenzuela is joined by Dwain McFarland and Peter Overzet to go through Dwain's 2026 wide receiver rankings — not as a flat list, but in tiers. This is Part 1 of 2, covering the first four tiers and the 15 receivers Dwain considers true WR1s.Are Ja'Marr Chase and Puka Nacua really in a class of their own, or has someone closed the gap? Where does Jaxon Smith-Njigba land after his breakout, and does Amon-Ra St. Brown or CeeDee Lamb come off the board first? Then the group Dwain thinks is the most misunderstood range on the board — Justin Jefferson, Malik Nabers, Drake London, Nico Collins, A.J. Brown and Rashee Rice — where the gap between name value and projection gets uncomfortable. And the last group of the day sorts out DeVonta Smith, George Pickens, Chris Olave and Tee Higgins, where you can still get WR1 production without paying WR1 prices.Every player comes with Dwain's per-game projection and an Xfinity best-case ceiling, so you're not just hearing an opinion — you're seeing the range of outcomes that put each guy where he is. Kendall and Pete push back throughout on the ones they'd rank differently. Part 2 goes deeper down the board, so subscribe and come back for the rest. Topics in this video: 2026 fantasy football, wide receiver tiers, WR rankings, Dwain McFarland rankings, Ja'Marr Chase, Puka Nacua, Jaxon Smith-Njigba, Amon-Ra St. Brown, CeeDee Lamb, Justin Jefferson, Malik Nabers, Drake London, Nico Collins, A.J.
