Mike talks with filmmakers Chris Rosik and Rob Cousineau about their 2025 film So Fades the Light, a quiet, unsettling drama about the long shadows of cult trauma. The story follows Sun (Kiley Lotz), once known as the “God Child” of the Iron and Fire Ministry, a violent extremist group shattered by a police raid. Years later, Sun lives in isolation, traveling the country in her van—until the release of the cult's leader (D. Duke Solomon) draws her back to the ruins of her former life.Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/the-projection-booth-podcast--5513239/support.

The Church at Ephesus had solid theology, sharp discernment, and a strong work ethic. But Jesus saw something they had missed—they had abandoned their first love. In this week's message, we look at what happens when passion is replaced by performance, when right beliefs are no longer fueled by a deep love for Christ. This isn't just about Ephesus—it's about us.Are we still in love with the Savior, or just busy with His work?Jesus' call is clear: “Remember, repent, and return.”Let's talk about how we come back to the love that started it all.6.8.25 - Message 3
Trade tensions may be here to stay, but that doesn't mean the market volatility will stick around. Ahmed Riesgo believes the recent market rebound is genuine, driven by a shift in policy from both the U.S. and China. With interest rates stabilizing and equities recovering, Riesgo thinks the worst of the trade war-induced sell-off is behind us. As investors look beyond the noise, he sees a U.S. economy that will likely slow down, but avoid a recession.======== Schwab Network ========Empowering every investor and trader, every market day.Subscribe to the Market Minute newsletter - https://schwabnetwork.com/subscribeDownload the iOS app - https://apps.apple.com/us/app/schwab-network/id1460719185Download the Amazon Fire Tv App - https://www.amazon.com/TD-Ameritrade-Network/dp/B07KRD76C7Watch on Sling - https://watch.sling.com/1/asset/191928615bd8d47686f94682aefaa007/watchWatch on Vizio - https://www.vizio.com/en/watchfreeplus-exploreWatch on DistroTV - https://www.distro.tv/live/schwab-network/Follow us on X – https://twitter.com/schwabnetworkFollow us on Facebook – https://www.facebook.com/schwabnetworkFollow us on LinkedIn - https://www.linkedin.com/company/schwab-network/About Schwab Network - https://schwabnetwork.com/about

Wall Street rallied overnight, buoyed by renewed trade optimism and upbeat corporate earnings. Nvidia impressed investors with stronger-than-expected quarterly sales, though its outlook flagged a potential $8 billion impact from US export restrictions. Meanwhile, beauty retailer E.L.F. surged over 23% following news it will acquire Hailey Bieber’s skincare brand, Rhode. However, not all signals were positive. A rise in US jobless claims pointed to potential weakness in the labour market, and oil prices dipped on ongoing demand concerns. Adding to market jitters, a US appeals court temporarily reinstated Trump-era tariffs, reigniting trade tensions. Closer to home, Aussie shares are expected to ease, with retail spending data in focus. In this solo episode of the Rest, Eat, Move podcast, Matt finds himself at a familiar crossroads: continue the endless grind of work or seize a beautiful day for a much-needed run. This personal dilemma sparks a deeper conversation about the choices we face daily. Matt introduces the powerful question, "Why not?" as a practical tool to overcome inertia and choose actions that foster well-being, especially when motivation wavers. He contrasts the prevalent "survival mode"—where many find themselves despite societal advancements, leading to widespread health issues like obesity, anxiety, and chronic disease—with the potential for "thriving mode." While acknowledging the critical role of a deep-seated "Why" in providing purpose, resilience, and clarity for long-term goals, Matt offers "Why not?" as an immediate catalyst for positive change when that deeper motivation feels distant.Drawing on analogies like getting unstuck from snow, airplane takeoffs, and water skiing, he illustrates that initial effort is often the hardest part but crucial for momentum. Matt encourages listeners to recognize their worth, understand that even inaction is a choice, and actively choose to invest in themselves. Ultimately, it's about shifting from merely surviving to truly thriving, because, as he puts it, "you are needed" and "you deserve to be thriving.

In this raw and honest episode, Ken and Tabatha break down the walls of silence surrounding sexless marriages, offering hope and practical wisdom from their 25-year journey together.Marriage isn't always sexy – especially when life throws curveballs like career stress, parenting demands, health challenges, and aging bodies into the mix. After navigating breast cancer, menopause, and the everyday complexities of long-term commitment, Ken and Tabatha share how they've maintained a vibrant intimate connection despite the obstacles."When you're not in the mood" becomes more than just an occasional state – for many couples, it evolves into a persistent pattern that threatens the marriage foundation. The hosts challenge listeners to examine whether they've settled for less than God's design for marital intimacy, offering a biblical framework from 1 Corinthians 7 that reframes sex as both a privilege and responsibility within marriage.Through candid conversation, they address common barriers to physical connection: exhaustion, body image issues, medical challenges, and the subtle ways couples begin prioritizing everything except their intimate life. Tabitha specifically speaks to women about recognizing and embracing their own sexual desires rather than viewing intimacy solely as meeting their husband's needs. This conversation goes beyond bedroom techniques to address the heart issues that lead to sexual disconnection. Whether you're struggling with mismatched sex drives, physical limitations, or simply finding yourself in a pattern of rejection and resentment, this episode offers a pathway back to the intimate connection you once shared.Ready to turn up the heat in your marriage? Send us a messageThere's something almost magical about a big moment - the energy, the build-up, the way everything aligns just right for a brief sliver of time. Whether it's a holiday like Easter, a powerful worship service, a performance, or even just a milestone in life, we often walk away from those experiences feeling inspired, full, and maybe even changed. But then… the music fades. The crowd disperses and the excitement dies down. The lights go down, and you wake up the next morning to something quieter, something more ordinary. And in that stillness, a question lingers: What now?In this two-part series, we're going to look at the “what's next”... whether it's coming down from a peak moment, stepping away from something big or meaningful, or moving into a new season… In this first part of our new series, we're going to look at the silence after the big moment - about the sacred in the “after.” Because when the music fades, what's left isn't emptiness - it's often the beginning of something deeper. And if we're willing to listen, the quiet can speak louder than the song ever did.

Welcome in for another edition of the Morning Espresso from the SDH Network, brought to you by Oglethorpe University, Atlanta's premier undergraduate learning experience and soccer powerhouse. The Vancouver Whitecaps continued one of the best starts to a MLS season in history by eliminating Inter Miami in the semifinals of the Concacaf Champions Cup last night in Ft. Lauderdale. Jordi Alba cut the aggregate lead to 2-1 early in the first half, but Vancouver broke the match open early in the second half with goals from Brian White and Pedro Vite. Sebastian Berhalter scored the last one to win the night 3-1 and the series 5-1. While lots of focus will be on the failure by Miami to get the job done, everyone needs to be praising this Vancouver team and giving them credit.Berhalter will miss the final due to yellow card accumulation in a rule that Concacaf absolutely must change. It's outdated to have players miss finals due to yellow card accumulation and most competitions have changed when the cards reset to avoid this. Players shouldn't miss finals due to accumulation and it has to change going forward for Concacaf.Inter, who hadn't scored in 3 straight matches while getting knocked out of the Coppa Italia and losing the top spot in Serie A, led twice at Barcelona yesterday in an absolute classic of a semifinal first leg. A goal in 30 seconds was followed up by an acrobatic flying volley by Denzel Dumfries. Barcelona showed all of their quality to come back to level the match before Inter regained the lead at 3-2. Barca came back one more time and it finished 3-3, setting up a must-watch second leg next week in Milan. Lamine Yamal, who isn't even 18 years old yet, showed why he has to be in contention for the Balon d'Or right now with his outrageous goal and overall impact on the match. Simone Inzaghi, Inter's manager, described him as a player who comes along every 50 years. On a day when both Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo's sides were eliminated in Champions League competitions, Yamal showed that he might be the next entrant in the GOAT sweepstakes with a legend-making sort of performance. Europa League semifinals start today with tiny Bodo/Glimt traveling to London to face Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United going to Bilbao to face Athletic Club. If the entire town that Bodo/Glimt calls home traveled to the match in London, they couldn't fill Spurs' stadium. But they've become one of the big stories over the past few years as they're dominant in Norway and have beaten Ange Postecolglu before when he was at Celtic. As for Manchester United, the pressure is on to win the Europa League in order to play in next year's Champions League and perhaps have the financial wherewithal to revitalize their roster and the club's future. The Carlo Ancelotti telenovela carries on with most everyone now saying that when the La Liga title is out of reach, then we'll get a resolution. The Clasico date on May 11 with Barcelona is like the next big circle on the calendar. Some outlets say that Brazil will wait on Ancelotti. Anything is possible at this point, with some even saying that Ancelotti might end up in Saudi Arabia at Al Hilal if their manager Jorge Jesus ends up becoming the Brazilian manager instead of him. Who knows?More Espresso on Friday on the SDH Network, presented by Oglethorpe University.
