Born into a family of sports, Nolan has used his gift of basketball to make not only an impact on the court, but in the lives of everyone he comes across. From a National Championship at Duke in 2010, to now on the basketball staff, Nolan and his wife Cheyna aim to create lasting relationships to make the world around them a better place.
"What you see is what you get. I feel doing anything more is just too much work." Since he was 3, Brian had dreams of imitating the game show and television talent that he watched any chance he got. Sharing our stories in high school broadcasting class, we switched to sharing stories of a favorite friend of ours who worked in the industry for over 30 years and the legacy he left. Brian discusses the importance and rarity of being able to stay local throughout his career in local news and how his career has shifted to combat different roles he's received over the years at WRAL-TV. Naturally, the conversation takes a turn as we discuss the great game shows of the 70's and 80's as well as the hosts who made it happen. Growing up in a family who admired all aspect of sports, Pace knew he had to be involved with it as his job whatever the costs. After starting as an intern with the Carolina Hurricanes, Pace found his way accepting a job with the Washington Capitals where his southern hospitality earned him 10 minutes late to his first big meeting and a table full of cold biscuits that no one wanted. Things smoothed out and he found his way back in Raleigh working for the team he's always loved. Initially only being able to use message boards and AIM to communicate with others, the culture has changed, but the passion is just as strong.
