Food Insecurity and our responsibility as followers of Christ.
Too often we forget food is a means of grace as we ask for someone to pass the salt and pepper.
On Confirmation Sunday, we hear Psalm 23 as a reminder to read our favorite text so they can become for us a smooth, beat up penny. In this way our faith is stronger allowing us to become to realize we are never alone and grace abounds.
This recording, “Psalm 95” is the first message of our “Psalms” sermon series. Rev. Mitchell Boone delivered this sermon in the 10:50AM worship service at White Rock UMC on February 1, 2015. New Year. Same Gospel. At the beginning of every year, we set these lofty, difficult resolutions: Lose Weight. Eat Healthy. Exercise. Read More. And before we know it, the goals we have set for ourselves are swept away by the demands of everyday life. What if we took a new approach in 2015? Could your life be different if you lived with a sense of wonder and practiced creativity? Would you feel more peace and joy if you simplified your life? Can we, truly, find a purpose outside of ourselves? This recording, “Finding Purpose” is the final message of our “New Year. Same Gospel.” sermon series. Rev. Mitchell Boone delivered this sermon in the 10:50AM worship service at White Rock UMC on January 25, 2015.
